The issue with Milton Williams, and the reason to let someone else overpay him, is that it seems highly possible/likely that his success is due to playing next to Jalen Carter. And the best evidence o

Nolan Smith was stumbling around like Anton Jackson

Watching that... it reminds me...the veteran leadership on this team shines through yet again.   Each of these young guys had a veteran chaperone (or two) watching over them making sure they didn't get in too much trouble.  Q had Maddox and Bradberry tracking him.   Studying this video... I think that might actually be Bryce Huff tracking Smith.

Yeah, the symptoms are incurable from what I understand.

What really broke my heart was how disconnected he felt. Basically, because of the hearing loss he can’t follow conversations well, and the vertigo distracts him from whatever he can keep up with.

And for people who know him and know his issues, it’s difficult enough to have to repeat things constantly, but obviously we’re happy to work with him — it just takes time. But for strangers, they just get frustrated with you.

He went from one of the most social people I’ve ever known to almost a shut in after the symptoms started. He’s better now and has learned to cope with the issues, but the whole thing utterly changed his life.

I wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy.

Nor would I. And there’s no escaping it and no relief, at least in its extremes. I am so glad he’s better and has learned to cope, both for him and for @VaBeach_Eagle.

On a lighter note, I have another friend with tinnitus. He moved to upstate New York and takes long walks in the woods. Says he listens to the crickets.

See, she's just showing her ignorance... Hanging effigies has been a staple of protesting individuals going back centuries and race has had nothing to do with it.

I wish those jackets they wore at the parade yesterday were on sale. But they'd probably cost like $500. They were slick though.

One of the most important conversations now. Is Nolan Smith married to #3 or can DeJean offer enough for him to give it up? I like DeJean in #33 but hate Smith in #3. If Slay is gone, I could see Smith taking #2, assuming he wants to stay in a single digit and DeJean could have #3.

Potential new available numbers based on UFA and tradeable players and cuts (Pickett/McKee/Huff). I also think 9 should be available now since the Eagles have 2 SB. Nick was great, but it's time to put it back in the rotation. I'd also assume 55 is retired unfortunately. I also think Braden Mann needs to take one for the team and wear 37 or 39 since punters don't have strict number rules anymore.

0, 2, 7, 9 , 13, 14, 16 18, 19, 24, 29, 34, 42, 53, 77, 80, 93

-No way Jahan Dotson stays in 83. He's taking whatever single digit he can. Let's assume Pickett is traded. Dotson takes 7.

-BVS has already said he will change his number to a pass catching eligible number, it was just too late last year. Would make sense for him to take 42 (college number) if Burks is gone.

-Johnny Wilson is taking 14 (college number) if Gainwell leaves in FA. I like him in 89 however. We need WR in WR numbers and as a huge WR, 89 fits him well.

-Lewis Cine is grabbing a single digit or 24. I think he's going to surprise and make an impact next year.

YEP, I'm a nerd.

I am impressed by your attention to these details.  I couldn't care less.

Ever since I was a kid, I've always been obsessed with uniform, number and equipment details. Probably goes back to my card collecting, posters, SI cover and Eastbay collection. My childhood bedroom, I made one wall an entire collage of SI covers. Looking back, keeping SI's intact instead of cutting the covers off of iconic issues was probably the smarter move.

They love to virtue signal.

Obviously, Hunt made a celebration related to his name, similar to Josh Sweat.

But when you prioritize virtue signaling as an organization, you have to overlook that guns and, in this case, bows and arrows are not violent. They are weapons, but they are also sports (see the Olympics). Hunting is not evil. Neither is archery or target shooting. But the NFL is built on a violent sport and they need to deflect from the obvious by taking a stance against pretend violence such as archery.

Nah, the enjoyment of them was better that way.  And you do you.

Meanwhile, I am locked in binging the entire playoff run again on NFL Network.

Haven't turned off NFLN all day. Crappy weather+great Eagles games on TV=lazy day. Watching these games with no pressure now is a different experience though.

Gabe Hall, Danny Gray, TDP and KJ Henry are players I'm interested to see how they develop. TDP is a solid RB who pushed for a roster spot last year. Gabe Hall could develop in to a backup NT or maybe even an inexpensive replacement for Jordan Davis if they don't think he's worth an extension.

Is he much of a pass rusher though? I do like his upside.

That is a Fing shame. Trent Cole did that celebration for years. Now its illegal for a guy who's last name is Hunt? Are they going to fine the eagles for their weeks and weeks of the Lets Hunt slogan? Are they going to fine Hunt for his last name? What the hell? I hope he can appeal that.

Hall, Gray, and Castro-Fields for me. None quite as exciting as when they signed Thomas Booker for me.
