I think the likelihood is McLaurin gets a new contract, but I wonder if for whatever reason they can't come to terms with him, if they'd trade him and then end up trading for Jennings from the Niners.

Nothing you said is wrong, but what happens if Kelee Ringo plays lights out this year?

See if you can get him on a relatively team friendly deal. If not then they have him for at least one year. See if he does it again and if he plays an All-Pro level two years straight then that is a good problem to have to figure out. I wouldguess it won't be likely. A more likely good outcome would be he plays to a starter level and shows upside and they can get him on one of those Roseman special deals next year where contract isnt ground breaking but good and pales in comparison to what they would have to pay him if he played out his entire contract and continued to improve in year 4.

Hopefully everyone understands why Howie didn't keep any of the notebale FA this year and traded away CJGJ now. The money needed to keep this young defense together is going to be staggering.

Jalen Carter, Nolan Smith, Jordan Davis, Reed Blankenship, Moro Ojomo, Kelee Ringo and Nakobe Dean all need contracts in a year or two. Dean is the biggest question mark, but you can argue for all of them to be brought back.

Cooper DeJean and Quinyon Mitchell will get there's like you said, but they can hopefully stagger those two.

Howie needs to absolutely nail WR and TE over the next two drafts. Hate to say it, but in order to keep the young defense together, they might have to do a slow turnover at the skill positions with AJ and DeVonta when it's time to sign the rest. Time will tell but Howie has built an incredible team. How much of it can he keep together?

I don't think he can stagger Mitchell and DeJean. DeJean only has 4 years on his rookie deal vs Mitchells 5 which makes DeJean the more immediate candidate. But are you really going to pay the 2nd rounder first in the same draft class at the same-ish position? I think their deals will be like Smith/Brown where both get done pretty close together so everyones happy.

The commodes and Terry Mclaurin haven’t spoken in over a month and their fans are not doing well lol

I’m not talking about going back to college. I’m talking about sitting out completely.

While, no, what he got is nothing in comparison to nfl $$$ (and chances are he will hurt himself by being drafted lower the second time around), he has some financial stability kids in the past didn’t have.

Still a horrible ROI with a year away from practice and play

Bo Jackson could afford to do it because he turned to baseball. Others doing it... pretty rare to just sit out with no backup plan. Last guy I know of doing it was Craig Erickson when the Eagles drafted him. Being a coach's son, he had better options than most others as well. I don't know of any others off hand.

Don't think Eagles will be able to pay all the guys you mentioned. Just not possible if they all play well or better. Howie is gonna have to make a few trades for draft picks to keep the talent pool filled.

As for Keelee, it would be so awesome if he plays lights out.

McLane was on WIP and said that part of the CJGJ trade was money, but some of it was "other off the field stuff" and there's a reason he's on 5 teams in 5 years, his act wears thin pretty quickly with teams, but said the Eagles obviously valued him or they wouldn't have brought him back.

If you had to guess, excluding the money aspect of it, that was obviously Howie, but from the attitude/off the field stuff/character stuff... whatever you wanna call it... do you think the trade was more Fangio driven or Howie driven.

We don't have Shemar Stewart yet? Howie asleep at the wheel

That was known by most, and said here and in media a lot. Even Howie & Lurie said it. That didn't stop some fans from complaining. 🤣

Edgecombe had a nice second half.

I am not saying this in a joking way as I have had some family members who have dealt with mental health issues. I honestly CJGJ is bi-polar. This has always been how he operates where one second he loves a team, city, etc and then the next he disses them, then right back to loving them.

I’m not sure it’s bipolar, but maybe its some kind of only child syndrome

Good or bad, it’s about me

There were RUMORS of some domestic violence issues that I heard about from a friend. Take with grain of salt but would make a LOT of sense to me. And instead of the Eagles cutting him, making it public.....they didn't make public and traded him which in my opinion is saving CJGJ's career and ass if true.

I made that suggestion many years ago for Formula 1, when Michael Schumaker was winning championships year after year. Put him in one of the other teams' racing car and see how he fares. To me, it would make auto racing much more interesting, and you'd see who the actual best drivers are.

You are seeing that right now with Max Verstappen. The car isn't the best on the grid, but his personal performance is making up for some of the definencies

Its just as well Joe Douglas doesn't work for the Eagles right now, right?

Exactly - probably Lurie's money issues holding him back though.

An ex-girlfriend/baby mama accused him of hiring a hitman to attack Malik Nabers during a Giants/Eagles game. No word on whether the hitman was Tommy Cutlets or Daniel Jones.

Sometimes I mosey on in to the blog and want to have some serious football chat while other times I want to come in here and ask @hputenis and @Godfather about their furry parties while simultaneously saying Jason Kelce and his antics are annoying just to piss off you fan girls.

Does that make me bi-polar?
