I'm guessing TO was responding to fashion influencer Cam Newton.

Did Cam play football? It was hard to notice if he did.

I vaguely remember something about soiling himself instead of going after a fumble...

I hope all of you have had a great offseason. The team that shall not be named here heads out to camp today and I’m just starting to get into football mode.

I read an interview that Jimmy Jump Up recently gave regarding that team.

"For a Cowboys team that went 7-10, there are many games on the schedule that should be challenging but Johnson is likely referring to the late-November run when they face six straight playoff teams in a 32-day window.

Of those six teams, two of them were in the Super Bowl in Philadelphia and Kansas City. The Cowboys play those teams in a four-day stretch from Nov. 23-27, followed by a road game to Detroit, home games against the Vikings and Chargers and then a Christmas Day road game in Washington.”

This was in reference to Jimmy saying health is the number one key since the team is top heavy on salary for just a couple of players and lack the depth of most other NFL teams have. I haven’t even looked at the complete schedule yet but that stretch in late November through December doesn’t look good for my team.

8-9 or 9-8 would be about the best I expect this year for my team. It’s going to be interesting to see if the Eagles can break this crazy streak of no back to back division champions since the Eagles did it from 01’ - 04’. My money says we have the first back to back champions in 20 years in the NFCE.

Good to see you again. That is the kind of late season schedule the Eagles had in 2023. As you know, that did not go well for them.

There you go being all rational again. It makes it hard to get mad at you. Meanwhile, the bozos in your fanbase were posting yesterday about how the Eagles' rings are bogus because of Dak's injury and that if he'd have been healthy they'd have won. Either a masterful troll job... or complete delusion. Either way, your QB will continue to hold you back. When you over pay to the degree that they did with Dak, you can't afford to fill out the roster properly to cover up for his deficiencies. 3-5 with Dak last year, 4-5 without Dak. An argument could be made that the team actually improved once he went out. 11 turnovers (9 INTs, 2 fumbles) by Dak in 8 games. 9 turnovers (5 INTs, 4 fumbles) by Rush in 9 games.

The Dak delusion remains strong.

In the 43 years before and after the Saints had Drew Brees, they accumulated 5 total playoff appearances and 1 playoff win.

The Indianapolis Colts lucked into 3 different generation QBs (Luck, Manning, Unitas) who cover nearly half of their existence. In the other half, they have 2 total playoff wins.

Franchises are not suddenly great just because they have a ring

Trump is 100% right here, as he almost always is.

@Connecticut Eagle will there be a new TC blog or are we keeping this one alive until the season?

they should make soft toilets

Hes right about forcing a privately owned company to change their name?

If the Commanders owner likes the commanders, then they stay the Commanders. Should Trump force Apple to change their name to Banana computers? Why?

No. "Camps and Preseason" covers spring camps, training camp, and the preseason.

Will likely cut over to the regular season blog after roster cuts.

Thanks for the clarification, even though it's in the title. Now, back to Interstellar and what I did like about the movie. You can't beat Hans Zimmer movie soundtracks. Well John Williams could probably argue with that. Anyway, this is incredible.

Not to weigh in on the politics and how everyone feels about the person talking about it, but... while they are a privately owned company, they are asking for public money to fund a stadium for their privately owned company. $1.1B is the city's investment level, not to mention that they own the land where the stadium is being built. If Apple were asking for money to build a new factory, on land they don't own and aren't purchasing, the town where they are building the factory, if they put money in to the construction costs would absolutely have the right to have some say over what the name on the factory would be. So, maybe the Commanders could play in Redskins stadium.

Why don’t you people recognize overt trolling?

Solid analysis. That’s why I come back here. I always hold out hope and wish for the best but expect to have my Cowboy blue heart broken by year’s end.

This year I wouldn’t be upset if Dak gets hurt again and we get to see Milton or even Grier. It is what it is.

Curious to see what Jaydon Blue has. Ball security is/was a weak spot for him in the past.

It’ll be fun following the Longhorns again at least, that will keep me excited for football most weekends.

No excuses here, early, or late scheduling. Every team has to play 17 games it’s a long season for all. Stay relatively healthy if possible is all I can ask, last years injuries were just insurmountable…on top of the lack of discipline and outdated coaching/play calling.

Life as an NFL fan, gotta love it.
