However, Darnold has been really good in Seattle and after 2 or 3 decent games Wentz has come crashing back down to earth over the last two. I'm not a Wentz guy but I even thought it was sad watching him play tonight because the talent is/was there but something is just off with him. That INT on the throw to Jefferson was just horrendous.Whatever we saw in 2017 and then right at end of 2019 where it felt he might be getting the mojo back is completely gone now - think he is done in the league after this year. Forever thankful for the part he played in our first SB - I don’t think we get there without the swag he brought to the team but the dude never recovered mentally from getting hurt that season and his career has been a mess since.

Jalen came into the league with a lot of holes and limitations in his game and works his tail off to overcome them has this attitude that it doesn’t matter. Went never had the same mental makeup or if he did seeing us win the SB without him broke him which says a lot of him, all of this despite having all the tools in his body
18 hours ago18 hr This one is really a "must win" given how hard the schedule is this year. 11-6 should win the Division and that means 6-2, a bye, and only a 5-4 record necessary post bye to win the East. 12 wins would mean a decent shot at the #2 seed.
18 hours ago18 hr @mattwill First time picking against the Birds last week, so superstition has me picking against us again this week. Giants 24 Eagles 20Bonus: Saquon Barkley finally rushes over 100 yards 🤞

Getting swept by the Gmen, would be a strong indication that collectively this team doesn’t have what it takes to position itself well for the playoffs or once there string together the consecutive wins necessary to get back to the Super Bowl.

So it's thin skin to think a star WR shouldn't be complaining about the team/QB on social media every week including after a big win where he himself had 100+ yards and 2 TD's? Is it "thin skin" to think he shouldn't straight up lie and deny that he and the QB and star RB had a long meeting to try to clear the air? How about this, is it "thin skin" to think it's a problem when the team's star WR's body language on the field sucks and he is seen on film running half assed routes and giving up on a deep ball that he could have caught? You glazing AJ cauck gobblers are completely missing the point and not seeing the forest for the trees but it's not surprising since most of the people on this board have an IQ less than 50.The thinnest skins are those who think they are smarter than the rest. Always gotta say it out loud as if that legitimizes their claim of intellectual superiority. "Everybody dumb but me. I'm so smart I'm gonna insult the other 45 people on the Eagles message board. You see a tweet that you make the conscious choice to dislike, then when he says the opposite in media speaking’s, you choose to decide he’s lying through his teeth and his tweet was the real truth… when he’s told you he’s a troll and is probably tweeting about the episode of survivor he watchedAnd the "denial” of the meeting between the 3 turned out to be the truth. There was no meeting, they ran into each other while he was going to his car as he said they did. Beat writers corroboratedStop listening to WIP
17 hours ago17 hr I get sitting J.J. for a full practice week, but Wentz should’ve been benched by halftime. put in Brosmer. and Jefferson on the field with 5 left down that bad? that’s reckless.

Good chance the team is a good bit better down the road as the D will evolve. Guess it depends on the OL getting healthier.

I sorta agree, but having the giants twice in 3 weeks doesnt really allow a lot of time for this team to morph in to something different. The best we can hope for is incremental improvements.Hurts found the explosive plays in abundance last week. Now, I would love to see consistency on a drive by drive basis for the passing game. And even more importantly from the last Giants game- improved run D.Id agree with you more if these 2 Giants games were spaced further apart. But playing them twice in 3 weeks is really just a snapshot. That cant define a team.I do believe we win this one. But Im not sure itll be all that pretty yet.

Seems a good dude, so don't want to rag on him, but if he's not got drastically better in 6 years, not sure I want him starting on a SB calibre team. He's not a "starter." He's a versatile backup forced to fill in when needed because of injuries. I'm not really sure why he's such a hot topic right now. I've seen way worse play from backup offensive linemen. He gets paid the vet minimum to provide depth and he is not a catastrophic problem when he's in the game. I would imagine that he probably would be a bit better at one singular line position if that's all he was asked to practice at for 6 years. But he's been asked to constantly take reps at every position and this is his role on the team. I noted it earlier, but I believe the Sua Opeta signing could bump Toth back on the depth chart if Opeta works his way back on to the 53.

I fully expect NYG to rush 4 and look to take away the shot plays, so this will be a good test for our ‘new’ passing offense (I don’t think it’s really new, but we are more reliant on it now without the big Saquon runs).Defensively, while I’m a not Campbell is an edge guy - I do like the 3LB dynamic in this game vs Skattebo and more importantly containing Dart. We don’t need quick pressure per se, but we can’t have the QB running wild.

Overall, I think he earned his gold jacket…but a look at his tape is a great showcase of ‘you see this, don’t do this’.Yeah. I'm not trying to dismiss him as a JAG, but I do think he isn't this all pro stud that a lot of people project him as. The likes of Ed Reed and Brian Dawkins had more a true impact on their positions for the NFL as a sport; Polamalu was more like oooh, cool hair bro, cool hit, Stillers etc.

DeVonta is too reticent about saying what he thinks so I think AJ takes an older brother role and stands up for him. I don’t like his approach of making everything public, but he isn’t wrong for feeling the way he does. This is fan fiction. Devonta is outspoken and has demonstrated that time and time again, he's just not an attention hoor like AJ.To be clear, I don't think nor do I want AJ going anywhere. The old Mike Tomlin line comes to mind: "I'll tolerate you until I can replace you "AJ is just too damn good. He's still among the best of the best. But he needs to stop the social media nonsense, he knows better.

I think the reason why he's a hot topic is he'll be playing Center against a good DL, and he has no real long term experience of that position. It looks like he struggles with shotgun snaps, so at some point, you have to question why he's got that elevated spot on the roster. He seems a good hard working dude and has had a longer than average NFL career, but even so.

We might even see a jump if Bennet is just adequate or Howie gets help at the trade deadline that pays off.I’m just not as confident offensively, as without a run game I’m not seeing the path to the consistent production needed to outscore the better teams and salt away wins. (Losing to the Giants would be more evidence on this side of the ledger).

And using unbalanced lines with the extra OT, instead of calculator. Offense will take a while to evolve. Barkley still has a terrible per carry average, but theres been a few runs each week where hes looked pretty close to breaking one. Theyll get a little healthier after the bye. And, theyre making the passing game a better threat so defenses cant focus so much on the run.It may not be the dominant run game that carried us all year last year. But if the passing game becomes proficient, it wont need to be.
