Becton doesn't make Dickerson or Jurgens healthier or Lane a year younger. The line is a combination of all the players rather than just Steen being in there rather than Becton, even Mailata has had some god awful snaps this year.

A part of it could be players conquering the mountain once and being happy to rest on their laurels rather than trying to get up there again, not consciously but it's just knocked that .05 of a percent off their effort that's the difference between elite and not.

I was okay going with Steen, only if we kept Williams as the reward for that. Figured Steen is better in pass game, which would require identity of offense to change a bit (still developing on that theory). That was the tradeoff there and mentioned at that time. But to not keep one of either young player in the trenches was just not Howie like. And when we learned Becton only cost $10M per for short term deal, that was a Big L for Howie for someone who desperately wanted to stay and who Stout resurrected.

No thanks. He's approaching the twilight of his prime.

Right now his talents still outweigh his baggage, barely.

But it won't be very long before that flips. Get whatever value you still can at the end of this year and move on.

They would eat in salary cap what Penn State ate to let Franklin go.

It's only a matter of time before they have to move on from AJ. They already have one of the highest paid WR's and O-Line groups and soon to have one of the highest paid DT group followed by CB's. I think it's pretty clear between Smith and Brown, Brown is the one you don't keep. I think they ideally want to keep him through 2026 but we'll see what happens with him the rest of the year. He might force Howie to pull the trigger earlier.

I started with a positive, and i love BG as much as the next guy, but he was injured for 1/2 last season is 37 and definately wasn't our most effective DE.

He played 13 snaps in the superbowl when the game was done and before that it was nearly 11 months ago.

I really hope it works out but i thought he left on a high and should probably have not come back. If it works out then great!

He wasn’t going to do it all last season but he was the best Edge/DE for the last couple games right before he got injured. Sweat and Smith came on after that.

It has been said that Chris Long’s two years with the Eagles can be seen as BG’s ceiling for this year. One key plus with BG is that he can be productive boy inside and on the Edge. Having him as the outside when Fangio goes with a 3-3-5 should be a plus … giving Nolan or Jalyx a breather.

Chris Long is 3 years older than Graham and was on the team 8 years ago. Graham in his career also only has more than 6.5 sacks (Long's final season here) 4 times in his career. If he is anywhere near the level of Chris Long it would be a grand slam.

I won't expect a bunch of sacks.....maybe 3-5, but I do think he will get pressure and will help in the run game.

Teams have been gashing us off tackle because we haven't been able to set an edge.

Nolan and BG should improve that.

Vikings fans really think this is the same?

There's a lot of crying going on. It's sad really. That TD doesn't give them the lead, just makes it a closer game. The Smith catch could have been reviewed. I don't remember that being done, and they didn't throw the challenge flag. In any case, it was a catch. His hands were under the ball the entire time. It never hit the ground. Hockenson's clearly DID hit the ground.

In closing for all those crying about this:

Yep same thing with rookies. Mitchell and DeJean had once in a decade or more rookie production and now if Mukaba makes mistakes in his first 7 games he’s pounced on as not good

I’d agree with this. What Cooper and Mitchell did is not the norm and shouldn’t be compared with other rookies

Didn't the original owner of the account sell it to some aggregator of some sort? I remember reading that it's not the original guy who owns the account anymore.

Went to his IG post, the 2nd slide is a video of some boxer (or MMA fighter? I don't know who it is) screaming and ranting how he's built different and you have to "come kill me" if you want to beat me.

He looked unhappy after his big 3rd down catch. He had 121 yards and 2 TDs in a win.

It's one thing to vent if you're losing or not getting the ball. But that's silly.

did you catch him walking off the field after the game? look of misery.

I honestly expect that the average practice squad edge should be able to play at a higher level than BG at this point, but I hope to be proven wrong.

NFL currently has 13 teams with 1 or 2 losses through 7 weeks. Thats insane

This year above any other, our 5-2 isn’t special. Gotta keep winning

We do, but the good news is that we hold our fate in our own hands.

In addition, 3 of the 8 NFC teams are in the NFC West so they will be giving one another losses. Same thing in the NFC North where 3 of the 8 will be doing the same to one another.

Yes, I think so. It's an account that just tried to generate revenue now.

He averaged 5 sacks per year over a 15 year span. He is what he is. A great personality, average player. BUT now he’s old

Smh.

When discussing DE’s a much better metric is per game stats then averaging them out to a 17 game season:

Brandon Graham through his 15 year career has averaged per 17 games played:

6.3 Sacks

40.2 tackles (exceptional for a DE)

10.4 tackles for losses

12.6 QB hits

Overall stats are well above "average” for a DE. Then add the amount of non stop energy level he brings, goes 100% on every play - comes up huge in big moments (Super Bowl strip sack) - making everyone around him better - he’s a great DE and exactly what this defense needs right now.

Sure, but this isn’t Linval Joseph. This is the longest tenured Eagle in franchise history coming out of retirement. He’s going to have most if not all of his contract guaranteed.

You may be right.
