I won't expect a bunch of sacks.....maybe 3-5, but I do think he will get pressure and will help in the run game.

Teams have been gashing us off tackle because we haven't been able to set an edge.

Nolan and BG should improve that.

Possibly. Depends how much they plan to play him.

Season will be half over by the time he plays anything significant. If he can get over 3 sacks I would be floored.

He wasn’t going to do it all last season but he was the best Edge/DE for the last couple games right before he got injured. Sweat and Smith came on after that.

As did Hunt.

Chris Long is 3 years older than Graham and was on the team 8 years ago. Graham in his career also only has more than 6.5 sacks (Long's final season here) 4 times in his career. If he is anywhere near the level of Chris Long it would be a grand slam.

He will be asked to do different things than Long did, but if he does what he is asked to do just as effectively as Long did what he was asked to do, then it will be a grand slam.

Having BG contributes to the locker room and swag of the defense. He'll get guys hype and hopefully that'll lead to better production on the defensive side. The team still needs to look for a solid DB though.

He's a great WR but if he's still cryptically ****ing after 121 and 2 TD's, I feel like we're at most an offseason away from driveway sit ups.

I can't recall a single Devonta Smith social media post, give me that all day every day.

Good news?

If Graham can be what he was before getting hurt last year, this is a huge win.

I think being off for 8 months as a 37 year old might be too much for him to get back there though. We’ll see.

One thing I’m not affected by is the "storybook ending” stuff. He clearly didn’t believe being hurt for much of the season/playoff run then reinjuring himself was the storybook ending everyone projected on him.

Agreed … different role.

BG has always been able to be effective/disruptive both from the edge and inside. I expect that to continue.

Get the VHS tapes out.

I honestly expect that the average practice squad edge should be able to play at a higher level than BG at this point

I respectfully disagree

Agreed. Storybook ending stuff is immaterial. These youngens need him as a mentor/coach. This is what this is mainly about. He will average 10 snaps a game maybe depending on health status of other guys.

I’d laugh though if the raiders got more from Dallas than what Dallas got from GB

Right? They got all those picks and will burn them. The bad thing is they may screw the market for any other team trading for an edge because Jerry will overpay. Howie better get Chubb before that deal goes down if he wants to make a move.

I think one of Becton or Williams needs to be signed with everyone else that left. Didn't happen. So I had issues with that. Games are won in the trenches and he knows that full well. Also, Kinnard and Booker, cheap young talented depth is a gross mishandling of team depth there. Counting on Ringo and Adoree also was bad work. Of course we know Rodgers was right there. Lotta little things adding up. The misuse of draft picks has been alarming as well. Hording them only to give them away in insignificant deals. We could use these right now. Although still have 10 left. I'm giving him the trade deadline to right this. Still a chance...

I think the move to extend Jurgens is a better long-term deal than signing Becton would have been. As good as Becton was last season, I am not sure having him would fix the issues with the run games. I don't understand your point on Kinnard and Booker. Kinnard is a JAG. The Eagles got a 6th round pick for him. They essentially got back a 6th round pick for the 7th they traded for Fred Johnson. Booker was a depth piece at DT. He's not lighting it up in Vegas. They have Ojomo, Young, Robinson and Hall. If Bennett gets healthy and contributes, that trade is a win. I think Howie would have rather had Rodgers. I understand about the draft picks. I would rather he not have made the trade for Bigsby.

The reality is most teams don't have the depth the Eagles have at most positions. We have legitimate all-pro talent at every level of the defense and offense. It's hard to put any of the decline in the play this season on the GM that built such a talented team.

If I was in the raiders front office the Parsons deal would be the starting point, force them to pay more lol

I'd be very happy if the Cowboys don't have that draft capital going forward.

roll

Jerry gonna trade those picks he got for Parson to get Crosby.

🤪

I don't know how much Graham brings to the table off the field. Having him in the locker room could elevate morale I suppose.

I say this because he was there all the time during TC watching practice and talking to players. He works out at the facility all the time already as it is. He's been around the team the entire time so it's not necessarily an addition of having him now play. Maybe he can help Carter keep his emotions in check.

If anything we could get another WIP sound byte from him later in the season

what's the contract breakdown for micah look like?

Between BG, Nakobe and eventually Nolan...the ENERGY on the defense will skyrocket. We looked downright passive at times vs. Denver and especially vs. NYG
