I think the Giants, especially Dart, caught the Eagles off guard last time. I worried before the game about Dart running around and getting 1st downs and sure enough it happened. Not to mention it seemed like the Giants just wanted it more and played more physical, especially in the 2nd half.

I fully expect the Eagles will be ready this time and not take Dart lightly. Also expecting a somewhat comfortable win. It's a division game so it can be a close game sometimes. If they have trouble or even lose this game then they're gonna need some changes.

Yeah, I agree with you - the eagles were coming off a slog, were missing Carter, lost Q early and just couldn't match the Giants energy. That said, a +7.5 spread seem like a lot based on what we've seen so far unless the D really puts Dart in a box.

Dart can move and buy time. But he was able to find friggin Lil'Jordan Humphrey against Adoree Jackson and/or Ringo.

Lil'Jordan wont be running free this week against Mitchell. Dart will have far fewer rabbits to pull out of his hat this week.

Chargers played 8 games. He's started in 7 of 8. missed majority of Denver game (week 3) and last night missed the majority of it. Bigger issue when he’s played he hasn’t been as good as last year. it’s PFF so take it for what it’s worth but when he’s played they have him as the 76th best guard out of 81. With a 41.4 grade. Pass blocking 49.6 (66th best) and run blocking 40.4 (76th best) (previous 2 weeks when he played majority of snaps he was one of their worst graded players— particularly their dolphins game. Colts wasn’t much better he was awful pass pro (34.1)). In comparison steen they have as 26th best. 72.8 pass pro and 58.8 run blocking. Don’t know how injuries are applied with their grading. But really even without pff just watching the chargers their run game has not been very good outside of giants (didn’t play) and dolphins (which almost every team Who’s played them has been) prior to last night. Can say 2 of 3 games he missed the majority of the game or all of it the chargers had their best rushing performances (giants and last night)

Defensively, while I’m a not Campbell is an edge guy - I do like the 3LB dynamic in this game vs Skattebo and more importantly containing Dart. We don’t need quick pressure per se, but we can’t have the QB running wild.

I agree with the take for this week. I do think the run game will get better but not until later in the year.

The Vikings biggest mistake has been a really bad evaluation of how far along JJ McCarthy isn’t in his development. Darnold definitely collapsed in the 2nd half of last year. They had spent a first round pick at QB on McCarthy so it makes sense he would have gotten a chance. That being said, Wentz is a back up. It's not clear to me why they did not invest more assets into the QB position although they only had 5 picks in the 2025 draft. Wentz and a bad o-line are not a good combination mostly because Wentz is not resilient. His play gets worse as he faces more pressure and makes mistakes.

Hurts found the explosive plays in abundance last week. Now, I would love to see consistency on a drive by drive basis for the passing game. And even more importantly from the last Giants game- improved run D.

They put up the weakest effort I can remember under Sirianni in a long time against the Giants. They were just beaten up by the Giants and out-physicaled by the Giants on both sides of the ball. No excuse for that. They CANNOT allow that to happen again, especially at home, especially after being embarrassed by this team 2 weeks ago. They have to come with the right mentality. And if they do that, they should win.

The bye helps and the silver lining with Jurgens knee is that the time off will help his back. They might also get a week off at the end of the year. We shall see.
