Good trolling going on in here. I'm a DJT guy. I'm taking lessons. Look out.

Here is my best attempt to net out Howie's moves so far this season.

We dealt away a variety of flotsam and day-3 picks for a handful of players that have and can meaningfully contribute this season - Johnson, Bigsby, Bennett, and Carter.

I prefer to call it "wise”. 🥸

I never know what to take from these articles, but the AJ one from earlier basically goes against everything that Siri and Hurts preach from a culture standpoint if it's true. I understand where AJ is coming from where he wants to be a contributor, but it's getting out of line with how he's handling it. Barkley basically did nothing the first seven games of the season, but kept his head down, said the right things even though everyone knew it was an offensive line issue, and he took the blame for the running game problems. DeVonta has been underutilized pretty much his entire career here but just keeps at it. Hurts is a robot in press conferences giving platitude answers, but handles everything like a wise CEO would.

You can tell who the adults in the room and who the children are. Losing AJ would be seriously detrimental to this offense and I'm not for it. I think it tanks their chances at another Super Bowl this year and next. But I guess the question has to be asked of him if he'd rather buy into the culture here or go and get his targets for a team like Cleveland or NYJ and win 3 games a year. But maybe that's what he wants at this stage in his career since he already has a ring.

I don’t love the idea of moving DeJean full-time to outside corner tbh… I think he can be good, but not elite like he is at slot.

May just have to do it for the remainder of this season, then go from there.

Worked for Bill Cowher as a coach. Some people think frank gore deserves it. 🤣

This is 100% right though. Though he did play in an era with 3 top 10 te’s of all time. Closest he’ll get to that gold is his wife’s gold medal sitting in their house.

Well he is also a champion, don’t discredit him of that

So we trade a player we don't use and a scratch off ticket in 2027 for a player at the position where we are objectively weakest.

And we can afford to do this with the money we saved by not keeping Milton.

Howie szn!!!!!

This is getting so blown out of proportion.

AJ Brown wants to be a part of the Eagles offense and featured in it whenever possible.

Nothing more, nothing less, imo. And until he says otherwise, that’s what I’m going with.

Carter is a slot guy. Hope they don't move DeJean outside.

I wouldn't stress on that at all. CDJ can play anywhere in the secondary and be effective, he's just a ball player.

The trade deadline will just change it to he wants to be traded in the offseason

Looking forward to the Fangio press conference where he says he wasn't consulted, and we'll get him in practice to see what he's got.

He did say he has a "minuscule" voice when it comes to transitions. That's too bad

Since you brought it up, here are the unrestricted free agents of note:

  • Reed Blankenship, Nakobe Dean

  • Dallas Goedert, Jahan Dotson, Grant Calcaterra, Fred Johnson

  • Braden Mann, Charley Hughlett

  • Josh Uche, Azeez Ojulari, Ogbo Okoronkwo, Adoree' Jackson

If we keep them, they don't count against us. If they leave, they count for us. There are trades and draft picks that can also supplement the roster.

I can't see us being spenders in 2026. We already have lots of talent that will need second contracts. I see several of these guys returning - especially if we have a nice run this season.

If you're ever thinking of trading AJ Brown this offseason is it, as far as getting a prime package in return. Next offseason, you're essentially trading for a WR who will be 30 in the 2027 season. He easily could be broken down by then. And then you would get into Joel Embiid territory and get nothing for a guy making huge money and damaged goods. Now, if you are AJ (and his agent) you are looking at getting one more BIG PAYDAY and he wants to be the #1 option. And you better strike that deal before 30. IMO, he's not gonna get another deal from the Eagles nor be a number 1 option any time soon. So post June 1st trade sounds right for a trade with New England. Now, is just too much of a hit and in the midst of a Superbowl run. Gonna hop on this wagon before the herd realizes this.

I just read that Michael Carter II has only given up 3 TD’s in 5 NFL seasons. If someone could fact check that, it would be good news, imo.

Can survive just about losing all of those guys. I'd put all my money into Goedert and wish everybody else well. The rest will be looking for money and may be out of reach. And Jackson, Ogbo and Hughlett are toast.

He was also benched, so.
