I'm not down on him. I was just never UP on him. He's a QB getting his first real taste of big time college football. He needs to work on his craft more. He's still quite young and QBs play forever these days. So, he's got time. And he's still a RS Sophomore, right? So, theoretically, he can stay at UT and work on his game for another 2 years after this before he has to declare for the draft. And he can work with Uncle Peyton as much as he wants to learn touch and whatever other nuance of the game he wants. He might never get there, but he's got a lot going for him... AND a ton of pressure on him at the same time. It takes a special kind of individual to live in that spotlight their whole life and not crumble under the pressure.

I'm rooting for the kid, but he's not there yet by a long shot.

Retzlaff (Siri changed it to Tesla’s) and Brookie were in their primes when @just relax and @FranklinFldEBUpper and @BigEFly and others were beginning fandom. So we saw them in action. For me neither were the best Eagle at their position. They were generational, but not all time.

Micromanaging of the game is what is making the game suck. That's a TD. Let it stand. Far too much super slow motion crap now. I've got no issue with replay, but we need to eliminate the slow motion replay. Watch it in real time and make the call.

It's not the broadcast's fault. They have to fill the time because the replay happened. If there's no replay, then the broadcast can start restarting the Manning hype machine. But, they had to fill 2, 3, maybe 4 minutes of dead action with something, and they have to make it seem like there's a reason for the delay.

Manning has been throwing 5 yard drags and crossers at like 90 mph all game. I don't get why he is trying to fire those in there with everything he has instead of touching throwing them.

I wonder how much of this is due exclusively to his last name. If he was named Smith, would he be the center of attention for this game? He'd be a story line getting his first real start at UT, but would he be the main focus? And if he weren't named Manning, would Texas have been the preseason #1?
