Is Green ready for game action? He did not do much in pre-season. PS would be the right place for him to improve and learn the system. Another team might want to sign him to their active roster which prompted the Eagles' action. Lampkin came via a trade and injured. Moving him to IR makes sense, though not as a corresponding move for Green, IMHO. It is likely more changes Howie will do in the coming weeks.

Lampkin had to be on the 53 man roster for them to IR him, without a designation, and have him able to return. The only real link to Green is that they had to have someone off the roster in order to get Lampkin on, and then IR him. So, Lampkin goes to IR, freeing up a spot on the roster, and they would be foolish not to hold someone on the roster and allow someone to be poached off the PS that they wanted to protect. The logical choice, based on the roster move, would be Green. Either because they really don't want to lose him more than others on the PS (at least yet) or they had someone nosing around him and had to add him to the roster to hold on to him.

So, to me that shows that they want to work with Green still and don't want to lose him yet... BUT, that he's not higher in priority than the 52 guys ahead of him (or that they felt less comfortable letting any of those guys hit the waiver wire, compared to Green.

The flip side of this is that I don't see any connection to Howie and ego regarding the fact that Green was a throw-in in the CJGJ trade.

Who will get the most grief here on Thursday?

Adoree Jackson every time a Cowboy catches a pass

Kevin Patullo every time the offense doesn't score

Jalen Hurts for any play that doesn't work

Why do we have to choose?

Have Eagles announced what uniforms they’ll be wearing Thursday ?

Lamb is predominantly a slot WR; I doubt they’ll have Q playing in the slot much, because then you need two guys at boundary CB who didn’t start there last season

I was asking for the overall season

No but I'm guessing greens because it won't be hot and it's night so no light color advantage.

What is that? I feel like I just entered the mind of a serial killer.

I'm not sure. I didn't even watch it. Saw the picture at the bottom of the link and knew it was "special"

Marshall being back doesn't bode well for signing Baker or Rice unfortunately. Id prefer baker or rice.

I wish they would've signed Rice

If this was any other coach I'd chalk it up to coach speak, but given Vic, if he didn't like him, he'd make it apparent.

Vic not caring about gamesmanship is part of why he's good.

Sounds like we know who will be starting by the 2nd half

I get why they don't announce things just because but the reality is that the Cowboys gameplan doesn't change one bit based off of the various CB & S options.

It might mean absolutely nothing, but last week the teams web page depth chart had no backup for Q and CB2 was Jackson/Ringo as 1st and Bennett as 3rd. Now, it shows Ringo as the backup to Q… with Jackson/Bennett fighting for CB2.

I think Campbell is the starter but I can see the Cowboys trying to pick on his over aggressiveness at times and Trotter playing a bit to calm things down

Yes

Well maybe we have the Kenyon Green answer. Not great

Interesting because he practiced fully yesterday and apparently was moving well. Maybe there was some swelling afterwards.

The Green move was before practice yesterday fwiw. But we're all just guessing at this point

It’s Labor Day, Landon is just giving his yard a good trim
