Which college game to watch today? Maybe Miami vs Florida… it’s at 730👎, but I’d get to see some DL/OL prospects that are intriguing… Bain, Mauigoa and Banks (injured?), Barber 👀, Slaughter. Less I forget, Tyreek Sapp, the DE who’s easily identifiable because he’s wearing shorts.

Not looking good for Jalyx Hunt.

Very surprised for his slow start. I thought he was going to be really good this year after how rapidly he came on and improved as he got more playing time when he finally started getting playing time right at the end of the season into the playoffs.

Still early in the season though and he didn't get any preseason action despite being so young and inexperienced. I think he comes on real strong in the second half of the year like Nolan Smith did in year 2.

Hunt is a 2nd year player stepping into a starting role and the first game had no Jalen Carter which affected the entire line.

Hunt through 2 weeks this year: 3 tackles, 1 QB hit, no sacks. By comparison, Josh Sweat last year through 2 weeks entering his 7th season : 5 tackles, 1 QB hit, no sacks. Sweat's 2nd year (for comparison to where Hunt is now) he had 4 tackles, no QB hits, no sacks. Last year Brandon Graham the veteran after 2 weeks had 1 tackle, no QB hits, no sacks. Let's not forget that Graham took several years to develop and many people called him a bust early in his career (granted he was a 1st round pick but still).

A lot of people keep forgetting how critical we were of the defense to start last year, despite a new DC, scheme, position coaches, new players and lack of preseason both sides of the ball are always rusty.

I don't know if Hunt will be anything more than a decent player but it's too early to be critical or concerned about him.

And not just trucks.

More than 14,000 U.S. airplanes, 8,000 of which came from Alaska, were given to the Soviet Union in the course of the war.

The USSR received a total of 44,000 American jeeps, 375,883 cargo trucks, 8,071 tractors and 12,700 tanks. Additionally, 1,541,590 blankets, 331,066 liters of alcohol, 15,417,000 pairs of army boots, 106,893 tons of cotton, 2,670,000 tons of petroleum products and 4,478,000 tons of food supplies made their way into the Soviet Union.

P-39 fighters. They were regarded as duds by the western allies in part because their altitude performance sucked. Russians loved 'em because eastern front fights were mostly at lower altitudes.

This applies to the offense too. Play calling, Hurts, and in particular the interior OL all started off flat last year. Really it took them until the bye before they started to look the way they did at the end of the year.

Not saying that lightening will strike twice. But we gotta be patient.

It is still staggering to me that the Eagles have won two Lombardi's (Never thought one would happen in my lifetime)....been to 3 in 8 years and have gone 18-1 in their last 19 games (let that sink in) and since 2000 have been one of the best teams in the NFL. I get that we are very shall I say "particular" fans and we may be a bit concerned about the offense....but man, if anyone would have told me in the 80's or 90's that this would have been what was coming, I would have told them to share with me what they were on.

They oddly favored the 37mm cannon unique to the P39 and the creature comforts that were ubiquitous to western allied fighters such as a heater or a design that keeps fumes out of the cockpit or a functional radio (the Russians were in short supply of).

Add in, the Eagles have played in 8 NFCCG's (the most over every NFC team) since 2000 (almost a third of them), 4 Super Bowls, made the playoffs in 17 of the years in 25 and.....the 5th best winning percentage behind the Patriots, Steelers, Packers and Ravens......

Again....it's ok to want more, point out weaknesses/concerns and want to maximize this window....but man 'o man......every once in a while just smell the roses!

The Jalen Carter effect, even when he isn't fully in shape yet.

Is this where Carter hurt his wrist?

Around 7:46

He stayed longer on the ground and was grabbing his wrist

Big credit to Lurie for the sustained success since he's been owner.

It's crazy to think we hadn't had a championship since 1960. Then get 2 within 7 years with different rosters and coaches and people complain about the QB passing yards or a backup player moving to a starting role isn't lighting it up early in the season.

Some fans are never happy.

This sluggish start finally ends with a loss. Rams will be highly motivated and have spent a lot of the offseason studying and planning for this game. It will definitely not go well if knucklehead Patullo decides to consistently run the ball between the tackles against an 8-9 man front. It is time to open up the offense...please!!

@mattwill

With Fiske having limited practice and questionable with an oblique, that hurts the DL even if he plays. I suspect AJ’s hammy is close to 100% at this point and Forbes covering him? Think we see some more of the passing game this week. Wouldn’t be surprised at some adjustments in the Eagles secondary. Maybe even Ringo gets out of the doghouse.

Birds 45 Rams 17

Bonus: Eagles DL feasts with 4 sacks

Bonus Bonus: Eagles feast with the intermediate passes to the TEs and AJ slants. Opens up the deep ball. And Barkley and Hurts both destroy the Rams haven’t surrendered a rushing TD BS with each having a rushing TD in the first half.

Didn't know nfl created this since it's a lot more detailed than 506sports

Don't ask me to explain it... but I think they bounce back with a vengeance against Tampa this year.

@mattwill

Ram 27, Eagles 24

I don't expect Saquon to rush for 200 yards 3 times in 12 months against the same team. Adams/Puka are gonna make Adoree Jackson/Eagles CB2 situation a national story

Bonus: Goedert 10+ catches

Eagles 29

Rams 27

Adoree' gets shredded and Bennett takes the job over the following week.

An adjacent curiosity for the 21st century NFL. There have been 25 Super Bowls.

The AFC has had only 8 different QBs represent the conference - Brady (9), Mahomes (5), Peyton (4), Ben (3), Dilfer, Gannon, Flacco, Burrow.

The NFC has had 21 - Warner (2), Manning (2), Wilson (2), Hurts (2), Collins, Johnson, Delhomme, McNabb, Hasselbeck, Grossman, Brees, Rodgers, Kaepernick, Newton, Ryan, Foles, Goff, Garoppolo, Brady, Stafford, Purdy.

Largest fine of the week for this? The NFL is very clearly out to get the Eagles. They are so bitter the Eagles are great and the Giants and Cowboys aren't.

Just now, Sack that QB said:
