Largest fine of the week for this? The NFL is very clearly out to get the Eagles. They are so bitter the Eagles are great and the Giants and Cowboys aren't.

You can no longer brace yourself for impact. In what world is this a fine? It makes ZERO sense. Player safety is one thing. Completely changing how grown men are supposed to naturally react and brace themselves for a collision is another. If he doesn't put his head down, his chest is wide open as the target for the defender. This stuff is getting out of hand.

that was lowering a shoulder. There was not even helmet contact so he didnt lead with his helmet. I thought leading with the helmet is what is supposed to be a penalty.

I wonder if Mahomes was fined the week before for lowering his shoulder (lowering his helmet apparently) on that defender along the sidelines.

Don't ask me to explain it... but I think they bounce back with a vengeance against Tampa this year.

I can explain it. Tampa is falling apart with injuries.

Last year the Eagles were falling apart with injuries when they played.

Its that simple.

Tampa is not a boogieman, they just played the Eagles without AJ once and without AJ, DeVonta, and Lane the other time.

2001? This is not the 2001 team and Brady is not there.

Btw, I looked it up... Tart was fined 12k for punching Kelce in the head in week 1. Barkley 46k for a routine run.

It's almost like the NFL has it out for the Eagles.

I’m not saying it’s right or wrong, it’s because he’s a repeat offender. He was fined $21k in 2023, $45k in 2024 and now this. And there’s been more times than that where he got warnings.

Did his helmet even make ANY contact?

It's football. What is he supposed to do?

Whatever everyone else does that doesn’t get fined? 🤷‍♂️

I’m just saying it’s not a new thing and the league isn’t out to get him. He clearly made contact with the crown of his helmet.

To the defender’s shoulder pad. This is one of the worse decisions I can recall. Running hard and tackling hard will be outlawed sometime soon. Flag football is the future.

Be a Chief, for starters.

That's all the elevations for the year for Epps. Would much rather have him on Latu on the 53 over Kenyon Green.

For what it's worth, I've been pretty impressed with Latu on special teams this year. Noticed him a bit in the preseason and thought he was really good against the Chiefs. I have a feeling he's going to make the 53-man roster at some point this season.

Yea they made it against the rules to lower your head years ago though I think they just fined players or ignored it

League has it out for the Eagles this year. Don't dare try to defend them trying to make a rule against a play you are great at or they will come down on you hard.

@mattwill

Eagles - 27

Rams - 24

Bonus: Elliott hits one from 60+.

@mattwill

Eagles 30

Rams 24

AJ Brown 2 TDs

Yup BVS going down gave him a chance and Latu has made the most of his shot

The rule is: "It is a foul if a player: (a) lowers his head and makes forcible contact with his helmet against an opponent;“

Again, I’m not saying I agree with the rule or think it’s a good thing, but it’s the rule. You can’t lower your helmet and make forcible contact against the defender. It doesn’t have to be helmet to helmet. At least it’s just a fine and they don’t throw flags for it.

You are right, but its the Eddie Lacy rule and if you go back up and look how he used to square up to tacklers with the crown of his helmet, thats a lot different than Barkley turning sideways and lowering his shoulder which was not an intentional lead in with the crown of his helmet. I think thats a purposeful misuse of a rule interpretation to be a D to an eagle because they run the tush push probably.

Targetting needs to go to the dumpster

Also, wonder if they cant actually fine Hurts increasing amounts for every single tush push that gets run.
