Targetting needs to go to the dumpster

Its a tool for the refs to cheat. Call it when you want, don't when you don't.

I turned off Tampa - Houston after the refs stole a 1st and goal from Houston (clear as day db arm tug) then followed it up with a drive extender illegal hands to the shoulders.

If you pretend its the face then you can call it now.

The rule is: "It is a foul if a player: (a) lowers his head and makes forcible contact with his helmet against an opponent;“

Again, I’m not saying I agree with the rule or think it’s a good thing, but it’s the rule. You can’t lower your helmet and make forcible contact against the defender. It doesn’t have to be helmet to helmet. At least it’s just a fine and they don’t throw flags for it.

Great rule. Every OL or DL player in the league is guilty 40 times a game. A minimum of 18 guys on a Tush Push.

FWIW, there is a penalty on every Eagles vs Chiefs tush push.

Its called unsportsmanlike conduct on KC for simulating the snap by yelling out hut hut.

EVERY TIME

Yep but every play is a tool for the refs to impact the outcome of a game. In baseball you can go to automated balls and strikes. You could never do that in football because by design they just call penalties when they see fit. If AI was good enough to call every infraction the game would be unwatchable.

Common sense neutral party review of 15 yard penalties is simple. The AFL did it 3 or 4 years ago.

15 yards for hands to the shoulders should create lawsuits from people who bet on the sport and rely on the legitimacy of the games.

Its unwatchable right now. The natural flow of the sport is about 30 seconds between plays anyway.

I get that its a tough call to allow reviews on uncalled penalties.

I'm fine with suspensions and firings for refs that miss blatant calls.

The issue is that the rule is selectively enforced.

Could you imagine the ****show it would be if this rule was uniformly enforced…

Is it? I don’t know how that can be proven. They never call it on the field, it’s basically just fined and I don’t pay enough attention to fines around the NFL to know.

I’d say they are for sure watching Barkley in particular closely since they warned him multiple times and this is like the 4th time he’s been fined for it.

You know whats worse than a Hurts hater? You! A Barkley hater! I bet the only RBs you like are McCaffrey and Shipley!

Just a reminder that Lamar Jackson ran right up to a fan and fought with him... no fine.

If you have an agenda you can pretend Lamar has a god given right to taunt fans by running right next to where they are seating.

Jerry Jeudy lifted his middle fingers... 15k fine.

Travis Kelce did the Phillies big balls move while facing the Eagles sideline. He got a 15k fine.

Next time Jerry should just run up to a fan, taunt them so they shove him and shove them back then apologize the next day. He'd save some money.

Also, nothing worse that a Hurts hater.

I wonder if they were upset at "The Dagger"

Like it was important to their fragile psyche that Josh Sweat or Milton Williams were SB MVP instead of Hurts.

We were all celebrating a SB win and they were moping like Wentz in 2018.

This is only the beginning of the agenda against the Eagles this season.

@mattwill

Rams 31

Eagles 27

2 Eagles turnovers doom them

DeVonta 100+ yards/TD

@mattwill

Eagles 30

Rams 20

Bonus: We're called for a penalty during the Tush Push.

Watched a video that said the Rams have the best 2nd half offense in the league but we have to have the best 2nd half defense in the league. Just 7 points given up all year in the 2nd half so far.

@mattwill this is the week I think we suffer because of the offense's poor performance. Rams are going to sell out to stop saquon and last week's passing performance won't be enough.

Rams 21

Eagles 17

We are every team's Super Bowl.

@mattwill

Eagles 21

Rams 17

Hurts 3 TD passes

I don't make predictions......the Eagles offense has gone back to the High School drawing board and that worries me. Everyone is saying they are 2-0 but have looked pedestrian. But...you do have to look at who they have played. The NFL has done the Eagles no favors (shocker) early on. Having to open against Dallas, a divisional opponent was tough. Then, having to go to KC (yes without any WR's), early on, on the road in one of the toughest places to play against Mahomes and a team that has been in like every Super Bowl since he's been there and against Andy Reid, on of the best coaches in NFL history.

So....if the Eagles Offense get can it's proverbial head out of its ass.....the game shouldn't even be close and I could see like 38-21'ish. If the 2025 offense wants to be the 2023 offense again.....a really close game that could go either way. Bonus thought......Goedert being back makes a difference (until he gets hurt again in the 2nd quarter).

I had a dream that Hurts threw a sweet, long TD to Dotson.
