The Negadelphian in you is showing. Think back 12 months and compare the state of the team then to the state of the team now. All three CBs were question marks. CB1 was Slay standing on the edge of a cliff. CB2 was an untested rookie from a small school. CB3 was Avonte Maddox. Safety2 was CJGJ brought back after a severe regression year as a non-Eagle. Safety1 was Caucasion. ILB2 was a reclamation project playing a new position. ILB1 was highly suspect.

I'm surprised Dallas traded him within the NFC. I'm curious to see how many 1sts the Packers gave up. They definitely could win that division. I was mulling picking them anyway. I think they'll be better this year and the Lions will be worse.

I think trading him at this point was their best move. Paying him $47M per year on that team wouldn't do anything besides handicap them. Assuming they got a haul, they can reload their roster over a few years.

We won’t know if he can do it until they try it out. He already has substantial experience making shotgun snaps.
