Agreed. And in situations like that I follow the rule of "Consider the source.”

In this instance, since he signed elsewhere and we can’t change history, what is the motivation of the news source?

Craziest 8 month drought in the last 30 years

Someone should explain to that fool, Ben White, that 8 then 18 then 7 then 24 is the opposite of consistent.

Top 10 at something in a pair of Super Bowl years could be seen as some serious weakness... if you have a low IQ.

These are the kinds of clowns who take shots at Hurts.

Joe Burrow's EPA per play per year

2022 0.18

2023 -0.01

2024 0.16

2025 -0.04

Burrow has been CONSISTENTLY poor at football for most of his career.

Maybe its just a serious weakness

See how useless EPA is now?

Simple question: do we bring on another OC, turn play calling back to the HC, or just roll with the OC. Three bad choices.

I think you roll with w Patullo. And correct and tweak.

1) Emphasize mistake free football (both sides). No, seriously. Stop making mistakes. I'm not kidding, guys. Stop it.

2) Try and be less predictable in shotgun and under center (more play action from under center?)

3) get to the mf-ing line faster to let Hurts do what he is good at.

4) Spread it out, no matter what, IMO. Bunch is bulls**t and kills Saquon's chances to move.

5) Get Calc off the field UNLESS you intend to throw to him.

6) decide what your identity is and then call plays consistent with that.

7) have plays that evolve and build on each other. It wasn't that long ago that we laid groundwork in Q1 to do something in Q3 and so on.

@mattwill I don't miss being in the Never club

I don't get it. Inconsistent about what?

FWIW Toth got graded after Sunday and now PFF dropped him to 61st at guard for pass blocking.

@jamiller yes to all 7

Maybe illegal motion, but I only see one guy moving and not towards LoS - so I think that is OK. On the Barkley penalty, we had two guys in motion and both had to settle before the ball was snapped (Saquon was still moving).

It's hilarious that he says that and we're gonna see the same crap we've seen all season

Help me understand, what did the refs have to do with this play?

The question is were they ALL set for 1 second before he started that motion. That's what matters, and this clip doesn't show that they were or weren't. Inconclusive.

Agreed.

Wow I legit thought that Kempski tweet was a joke

Denver this year will be their Tampa Bay last year. I'm not giving up on this team.

There is too much talent. Even with the injuries. The Giants better be ready.

Oh I thought I quoted a tweet that used that to say they weren't called for a flag but Barkley got a flag for the same thing.

There's a lot of inconsistencies how they call/don't call things around the league.

Changing coordinator in season would be the worst option of all, unfortunately.

I think the best thing would be for Sirriani to dedicate ALL of his time to the offense with Patullo.

We don’t need his "CEO” oversight with the defense in any way. Fangio has that.

All efforts dedicated to fixing the issues on offense (outlined well by Jamiller).

@mattwill

Eagles 13

Giants 24

Bonus: 7 sacks for NYG

Great post! I particularly like #7. Patullo does not sequence his plays. One play does not set up another. There is no rhythm. It's like he's always groping for the next play rather than knowing what it will be and why. Ugh!

Replacing Patullo with someone unfamiliar with the team will be a Matt Patricia level disaster, especially with the incumbent system in place. The blatant issue the O has is with a lack of play calling experience and situational awareness; some of things you only get by doing the job.

A solution could be to quietly hire an experienced "consultant" that can come in and just offer assistance without threatening the structure. The team aren't struggling through lack of effort. its lack of nuance. The system has shown to work in parts; its not a total disaster

This has always been my issue with Sirianni and why, despite his success, I don't think he's that great of a coach. Howie has gifted him a TON of talent. He should win. But on offense I don't see a scheme that elevates the talent. I see a scheme that depends on the talent. When I watch other teams play, I see more creativity, creative ways to get receivers open, creative ways to open up holes for the running backs. With the Eagles it's all predictable. We win because we just have more talent. It's been this way since Steichen left. It's Sirianni's offense. If Patullo is struggling, HE should be the person who can step in and ease the transition as Patullo learns his way.
