The Bronco game doesn't bother me. Eagles would have won if not for the refs (strip sack, intentional grounding, Goedert pass interference). Not the first team to lose because the refs suck. Eagles were 2-2 last. They sucked until they didn't, and won the super bowl.

We had 1 yard in the 2nd half between the first and last drive of the half. 1 yard in 4 drives.

7 drives through the game resulting in 43 yards.

Versus the Buccs

19 yards total in 7 2nd half drives.

If we count the 8th drive to Ice the game, -16 2nd half yards or -(.5) yards per minute of game time.

Blaming the refs is lazy - blame whoever’s coordinating the offense that’s uncoordinated.

One could infer from McDavid signing a two-year deal he will seek to be traded at the end of this season. The Oilers did nothing to address their shabby goaltending which has been their major undoing. The 1978 Boston Bruins were the last team to lose consecutive Stanley Cup Finals; they didn’t make a third, nor will the Oilers the way they’re constructed. McDavid has given only qualified assurances in his interest to return.

McDavid would have been vilified for refusing to sign an extension after they played in the Finals — this way, he’ll be (slightly) less vilified with the team taking a step back this year, and the Oilers will be able to trade him for a haul.

Now, after saying all that — there’s no way in hell McDavid will come to the Flyers the way they’re run. It’s one thing to have a lot of cap dollars to spend; it’s quite another to attract quality UFA talent. The Flyers haven’t signed a worthwhile UFA since …….
