I don't think it matters much from a offensive scheme standpoint. The Bills have a bad defense. It may matter more from a defensive game plan. The defense has struggled against scrambling QBs. Do they just play it safe in this game in order to have something up their sleeve if they have a re-match.

With the foot injury, this is setting up to be a frustrating game where Allen runs all over us. I should know this, and know better but I still wonder if the foot injury limits his running at all and helps us out.

I get the team wants Lane to play, but Johnson has earned the right to come back when he's healthy. Besides, we rushed Dickerson/Jurgens back so I actually trust Lane here more.

based off hard knocks I think it’s the opposite here

I haven't watched it. You think Lane is trying not to play?

Nah, they want to lose and get that top pick and the dudes a competitor.

No. Lane is the one trying to play. The team and trainers are the ones putting it off would be my guess.

Eagles fans travel well. Eagles & Bills fans tailgating in the snow should be fun.

It couldn't be a better recipe for a potential repeat run.

Didn't Dak just sign his record breaking contract? I don't think it's possible to move on from him in the 2nd year

And he has a no trade clause. He makes good pocket money with endorsements just from being on "americas team.”

I've felt for a while that this is more 2008 with no great teams rather than 2004 with 3 juggernauts.

If the Eagles make the Super Bowl this year then Jalen Hurts pretty much has his ticket to the Hall of Fame stamped. Every QB that has made at least 3 starts in the Super Bowl has made it into the Hall of Fame.

Aikman

Brady

Manning

Warner

Elway

Kelly

Bradshaw

Montana

Staubach

Tarkenton

Big Ben (will be)

Mahomes (will be, of course)

For reference, Hurts is currently at 6 wins at age 27.

A Super Bowl run (4 wins) would tie him for 3rd most all time with still two more seasons to pass Brady (very possible) and possibly even Mahomes (doubtful)

It’s 90 million of dead cap, but his cap number is 75mm. Do it after June 1 and they create a bunch of 2026 cap space.

I can’t even imagine that happening. Dak is like a son to Jerry:

Especially if they sign Pickens.

@mattwill Eagles: 20 Bills: 17

Bonus: Tank Bigsby over 80 yards rushing and 1 TD

For those keeping track at home:

If we win out and then make the NFCCG, that’s win #68

Niners. If we can't beat them then we aren't going anywhere anyway. The Rams are the most dangerous team out there. Better we get them in the NFC Championship game should we get that far.

I don’t disagree with you there but that would put the Rams at home in the NFCCG. Not the most intimidating of stadiums to go to I know but still a big travel to the west coast. I don’t think the Niners are that good and have massively benefited from a soft schedule. But I couldn’t justify losing to them whereas I could justify losing to the Rams.

Playing away against the Rams is much less of an issue than playing in either San Fran or Seattle. All three are on the West Coast as well.

In any case, I'm not thinking about losing. It will hurt to lost no matter who we lose to. Let's focus on trying to win.

Completely agree we have bigger ambitions than just winning a play off game. Losing will hurt no matter who we lose to (if that happens). I just hate the Niners so much.
