should happen right away , he has failed since week 1. ray charles would have same win record as nick with what howie has brought to the team. everytime nick has had imput in the offense it has failed , kellen , shane bailed him out.

OC will be replaced not the HC

I’m speed scrolling through posts so may not understand context.

With that said, Sirianni, whoever the OC is, Hurts and Big Dom need to understand throwing occasional interceptions isn’t some death knell. You cannot call and play an offense whose first and second priority is no turnovers. You need to find the balance and trust your highest paid offense. If the offense isn’t up to it, change it.

Correct.

When you have a QB who can throw 3, 4 TDs in most games, an occasional 1 or 2 INT game isnt going to kill you because your offense is putting up points. Especially with our defense.

Hurts is the one who said he wouldnt open it up because playing that way didnt get him the win. Thats on him more than Siri and Patullo. There is no coach in the world who thinks its a good idea to run the ball or throw no further than 3 yards on every single 3rd and long all season long. Its the QB making those decisions.

A lot of people were high on him a few years back

I was very adamant that Sirianni should have been dismissed after the 2023 season because he had lost the locker room. From 10-1 to barely getting into the playoffs followed by a blow out loss was a loud red flag. I believe he should be removed now for his laissez faire approach to leadership this year. All great leaders know when to step in when things are going sideways. I was absolutely stunned when he announced that the idiot OC was working on his own without collaboration...that is a fireable offense, but I just don't think Lurie is going to pull the trigger. I don't think the Eagle fans will get too upset about it...

Like I said, I'd be okay with it if only to close the book on this era of Eagles football and let the fans finally get over their trauma from 2023 so they can stop being so psychotic. The expectations have become so high that almost no one can really fill them, so I'd like to see that reset. as soon as possible.

I like that.

I dont think he will be too quick to get another HC job.

The Giants offense was beginning to look pretty tough with a rookie QB, 1 star WR, and a good slot WR who actually got targets. And a rookie RB who isnt really athletic enough for the NFL but looked amazing.

He made a lot out of a little there. He can probably do great things with our roster.

Id also love to have a hot head who isnt afraid to call out Hurts for his terrible decisions.

He has a relationship with Hurts already, which Lurie/Howie will value.

Give me AJ with a QB who can throw the ball on a consistent basis. I love the intangibles Jalen Hurts brings to the game. He's a terrific person from everything you read about him. He's just not a very good passing QB. He's a game manager. A game manager is great if you have pedestrian WR, maybe guys like DeMarcus Robinson?

This offense has a top 5 and top 10 WR, a top 5 TE and the best RB in the NFL.

QB1 threw for 200 or less in 11 games.

QB1 threw for 150 yards or less in 6 games.

QB1 threw for 1 TD or less in 9 games.

We'll probably never know if the offense is held back because of the OC or because of the QB. It's probably a little of both. Part of me just wants to see what this offense can do with a true passing QB.

Whats phillip rivers up to.

I agree though. Hurts intangibles are off the charts and when he was a running threat his inefficiencies as a passer were minimized but if hes made up his mind hes not running anymore then his other intangibles arent enough to make up for his limitations as a passer.

Its tough because hes been to 2 super bowls won 1 and was the best player on the field in both but that hurts also ran the ball.

I just dont know, it would be nice to see how the offense worked with a real passing qb, but real passing qbs these days are a rare breed.

So he can drop them and then post weird quotes after the game.

I dont think a re-set exists. Fans are used to being able to fire HCs every 3 years and still go back to the super bowl. Yet super bowl wins are no longer enough to buy a longer leash for these people. Its really crazy...

I think it's just human nature for the refs to favor the underdog, you have to expect it a little bit. They did give Hurts a late hit that was super soft.

I'm just embarrassed that this collection of players couldn't get out of the Wildcard round. IMO it's obviously a spectacular coaching failure.

That was literally the only call they made. Maybe if they just called the obvious ones on the 49ers....

But the coaching was bad on the offensive side, no doubt.

You keep Sirianni but Patullo needs to be gone by noon followed by a news of an interview scheduled with McDaniels by 6 pm tomorrow.

I know, bad game to defend AJ and pick him over the QB.

There are a bunch of names that would make me happy at OC. Im not sure I even have a preference.

If that proves objectively true, it's time to retire from Eagles discussion for me unfortunately. I usually come off pretty annoyed but it's because the last year and a half, while very fun from a football standpoint, has been absolutely 0 fun in terms of discussion. It has never been worse during my time here. It was better during 2020 and 2012, when we only won 4 games.

This isn't a normal loss.

This is the 2nd time in 3 years he picked an inept OC

He let it continue all year

He brings nothing to the table

He acts like a clown

Vic and KM and Howie win him a SB

He had the most talented team in the league that was mostly healthy and he along with KP blew a year of the window when it doesn't get more wide open. Coaches shouldn't hurt the team the way he did.

People who say a new coach can't win Gruden took over a talented team when a coach couldn't make the most of talent.

He needs to go amd I hope he sticks to KP so they can throw him out the door.

I think Howie / Lurie will only hold the KP hire against him. KP is clearly a Siri hire and the worst OC he has had in his HC career so its a big miss. He was the first guy that came with him from Indy. Btw, Steichen was also a Siri hire given their working history before. He is 1 - 1 on OC's where I think he has been the primary person driving the process.

We all agree that Kellen Moore certainly had more organisational involvement. I also think Brian Johnson was a broader organisational appointment and of course Siri had a part in that - they had just lost Steichen and the Eagles moved to secure their QB coach coming off a prolific year from their young franchise QB. He was seen as being important to Hurts and was also originally brought in more by Howie given the relationship he already had with Hurts. Just because it was internal, doesnt mean it was just a Siri call while any external hire is Howie / Lurie.

who knows if Chris Johnson Jr is draft eligible this year?

If you get McDaniels as the HC, you probably want an Achane type RB because the dolphins never really have a run game, but they do get explosive plays out of it when they do run.

OC I think, because frankly hiring Daboll as HC would probably be a bad idea. I admit, I do hope that goes over okay with Barkley though?

This has to be the best play in your playbook and they called their third timeout for this, which essentially meant the Niners could run out the clock.

Its the best tecmo bowl pass play among the 4 in that situation.

I mean at least it wasnt 4 curls...😒
