I would love McDaniel, but if he doesn’t get a HC job it feels like Detroit is a slam dunk choice for him. They have all the ingredients for a great year and a HC job in 2027.

To me, if we want a proven playcaller, that leaves Monken and Kingsbury as the clear next best options, with Monken significantly ahead.

Who else is there as a proven, veteran offensive mind?

Reports were Kingsbury was interviewing for Ravens HC job. It'll probably take a week to settle for all the top guys who could be HCs. Maybe even 2 weeks

Daboll and Mike McCarthy are both proven vets despite what people might think of them

I would take Daboll over Monken and kingsbury

I think he’s probably a bettwr fit for a true 3-4. Put him on the Steelers and watch him thrive.

Nolan Smith for Darnell Washington and a late pick.

I know he has a broken arm or something but I was BEGGING for Washington at the trade deadline. Id like either him or Isaiah Likely from the Ravens

Don't think we want Kingsbury. I think he will be overrated because of Washington's fluky offensive 2024 season. Have not heard great things about him from Cardinals fans who saw him for years and national guys who've followed him since college.

Doesn't use a lot of motion or innovative concepts.

Abandons the run.

Seems to be a big of a dbag.

I don't know, just get bad vibes from Kingsbury. I'd take Daboll over him in a heartbeat.

We better not be trading that third round pick to move up in a weak draft at the top.

I keep forgetting about him,

Mostly because him and Sirianni seem like an awful personality mix. Sirianni needs a cooler head at OC IMO. Daboll is constantly on tilt.

It is sincerely the best chance Hurts has without entirely reinventing his game. The very, very best chance he has. If he can't become a versatile passer with Daboll, he's probably cooked barring a Shanahan or McDaniel or Reid or someone like that.

Offense - OTs Fano or Mauigoa

Defense - CB Delane or DE Bain Jr

Bain is going top 5 right now. Would love him though.

If that's the case then why didn't Siri "unleash" his "Indy offense" when McKee was in? I'm sure he would have kept at least a few dozen plays in the back of his playbook, no?

And like I said earlier, the gameplanning, play design and play calling was even worse when McKee played.

Plus they passed 40 times. And couldn’t do crap.

Jalen Carter's next contract should be 5-7 milly less a year now, right?

Exactly.

I thought Kingsbury hung in there under bad circumstances this year. He’s not great by any means but a clear upgrade.

His time in Arizona probably deserves a little better shine after seeing Murray without him.

Would love Likely too, but he’s gonna cost a ton and they don’t have the luxury of paying top TE dollar right now.

How about either Bailey or Height from Texas Tech then ?

Someone earlier mentioned our first round pick plus the Jets pick we have would get the Eagles to around pick 16.

Agreed, just looking at scenarios.

Now, if there’s a run on QBs and edge/OL drop. Maybe you move up, but even the OL group doesn’t move the needle.

I found these highlights of Dickerson from a couple of years ago. He looks much heavier now. https://youtu.be/ZcJRQcV7HTk?si=f7woqsk2TnLR5Rh7

Yup he looks fitter and better there and that was like 10 surgeries ago.

Dickerson didnt suck this year because hes fat, he sucked because his knees are held together by duct tape and super glue.

Would losing 10 pounds help his play, maybe, cant hurt but its not going to repair his destroyed knees.

Hes gotten worse every year since 2022, not because he got fat but because he got more hurt every year.

Maybe with a longer off season and rehab and training he can get a bit better but the Dickerson of the video you posted is long gone and losing 20 pounds isnt bringing him back, injuries stole that player☹️

Seems like he was high on their list when they hired Moore. Maybe even higher than Moore at the time. Hard to know

Cross your finger the Lions hire someone other than McDaniel so that's not even on the table for him. Apparently they were set to hire David Blough which is why the Commies promoted him. So McDaniel clearly wasn't their first choice.

Mentioned David Bailey. He’s a current draft crush of mine.

If you like him I'm sold

I like him, I just don't know if I like him for this team. If he's going to be our Kellen Moore and it's going to be some collaboration between McDaniel, Sirianni and Hurts, no. If Howie/Lurie mandate that he's in full control of the offense, yes. I'm not sure how well his offense would look with Hurts though. It would very much be a prove it year for him next year.

He didn’t call plays in Indy. How do we know how much of that offense was his? I remember being so excited because the Colts the season before had dudes running open all over the place.

I’m not saying I want him gone. As someone else said, I’m fine with the CEO thing. He hasn’t shown much creativity as an offensive mind though.

2021 Week 3 Cowboys vs Eagles was the game I used. I'm aware he didn't call in Indy, and it it no way shows he's a quality play caller, so I ignored that. However, as I said, from a concept perspective it was literally night and day. It wasn't perfect, but it was at least average. (I'm not saying it's not above average, I'd have to study closer though).

Because Sirianni's biggest flaw with the 2021 Eagles was that he basically pretended the running game didn't exist, it lets you see the passing concepts - especially in that game because they had a total of 3 carries the entire game by running backs. 3.

Here was my reasoning for using this game, from this year:

  • Because it's the first year, and they didn't have quality tape on Hurts, it should be before the Eagles could tailor much to him.

  • It's the year that Sirianni started off as play caller, and hadn't really ceded much power yet, so it's the purest version of the scheme.

  • Jalen didn't have any power at all yet, and so he has less influence on the plays.

  • Because I'm watching before Sirianni even ceded play-calling, and because he started the year as the offensive head, it should be more things Sirianni wanted and picked too.

Has that been officially announced yet?

No but I imagine coming out of exit interviews he will be told. We will probably hear official news on moves in the next day or 2.

McDaniel will probably get a HC job. I don't think he's right for HC but there are a lot of jobs and not a lot of great candidates
