EMB Blog: 2025 Regular Season (Part 2) ... and Playoffs

Oh, and I don't know if it came across on tv (or was already discussed), but the AJ "get off the field" incident...... This is roughly the path he took (I'm not trying to be accurate in the start and finish yard line, more focused on the angle):

And it seemed like it was a good 10 yards that he walked slowly in the white part after he got off the field. I'm the furthest thing from a Nick apologist, but he was 100% in the right getting on AJ about that.

Here's the math on what I'd do if I were Howie. Leaves around $15.5mm to fill out the roster (CB2, TE, Edge Depth) that you don't address in the draft.

Those are the same things we said after 2023. And they'll do the same thing: hire an OC with experience.

I hope so.

I used to play war strategy games. I would always do the most (with the least) and win championships.

Do you know what we called guys that would do the least with the most?

Click - click - boom - boom.

Because all they would do is press buttons.

This was my fault guys. If I go, we lose.

12/1/2019  Eagles 31  Dolphins 37  Note: This was to celebrate our 5 year anniversary <_<
12/3/2023  Eagles 19  49ers 42  Note: Schmoopie caught the flu at this game

Wasnt it the 2019 Miami game where they scored a td out of a fake fg. I think more than wins and losses you attract trick plays working against us. :)

Sirianni is a meat head - great cheerleader - nothing more than that.

But we really DO HAVE the some of the most talented players in the NFL.

We won the Super Bowl last season thanks to Kellen Moore and Vic Fangio - the MVP's of this team.

Imo 2023 i don’t think they had the talent to win it all. The defense lost too much and had poor coaching. The offense eventually couldn’t carry the carcass of the defense down the stretch.

2024 easily had the most talented roster. I’m not sure it was close as the lions got decimated by years end. Their coaching on offense still had issues. It’s why the passing game was inconsistent. But by nfc title game we got it clicking and had balance for that game then Jalen played and the defense played their best game of the year in the SB.

This year i think the talent is there. I don’t think yesterday was a loss and much of their losses was because of talent. This year ther coaching outside of Fangio was miserable. Sadly Fangio and the defense had a mediocre game. Normally not an issue if we had an offense that wasn’t 26th in EPA and 25 in success rate since the bye. Do i think the talent played up to their previous levels? No. But i think with better coaching you get more out of the talent even on down years. We tended to get less from more

Did you watch/listen to the video? What did he say about AJ?

No doubt he's a total meathead. It's obvious who the highly intelligent offensive minds in the game are, and no one will ever mistake DUMB or DUMBER as one of them.

One thing is certain. Dak and Shanahan seem to have zero issues against our defenses irrespective of coordinators. Such a shame as I absolutely hate those teams.

I think Fangio will get some say in the guys he prefers to have back and if he thinks Baun is declining I wonder if he'd prefer Dean back to Blankenship. Then in a year when Baun is gone(it was really a 2 year contract) you have Dean and Campbell as your LBs of the future. Then you find another safety to replace Reed.

Still blows my mind this was allowed to happen for an entire season.

Will forever be the "Willy Nilly”

I've been to 2 eagles games (in Pittsburgh) eagles lost both #lessonlearned

I think Vic will take Reed over Dean, and I think that will be the choice he has to make.

To me the most relevant point about yesterday's game:

If you switch teams of Shanahan and Sirianni we obviously win big.

The Gen-Z social media team showing support for Hurts

Could it be the overuse of the "Tush Push" broke this offensive line? Case Study of 2025 performances of Jordan Mailata, Landon Dickerson, Cam Jurgens, Mekhai Becton & Lane Johnson. All had deterioration of play this year. And even using Hurts as a battering ram may have affected his play this year as well. Need to dump that play ASAP. The magic is gone. 2024 Superbowl came with a cost.

Not a crazy idea at all. It was a mainstay in the offense last year. Get the ball close enough to run the play 2-3 times in a row. We joked about it a lot in here, but that was their offense, particularly in the RZ. It needs to be a thing of the past. Purdy converted 2 last night. Josh Allen is doing it every game. It seems every team learned how to do it and the Eagles actually got worse at it. Call a real offense. It broke the OL and it's no longer a layup. Call actual plays.

Fire Sirianni

Fire Patullo

Harbaugh HC

McDaniel OC

Keep AJ (need to keep all cap we can to sign FA and rookies)

Resign Dallas

Resign Dean

Blankenship walks

Cut Elliot

Anyone blaming anything other than the coaching...give me and explanation on this:

2026 offense

QB: Hurts

OL: Mailata, Dickerson, Jurgens, Steen, Johnson/Williams

WR: AJ, Smith, ?

RB: Barkley, Bigsby

TE: ?

They are primarily looking for a starting TE and the 3rd/4th WR along with the usual OL depth. I think Steen remains the starter, unless they can find someone cheap and better. Lane Johnson is going to miss several games, so they need to be prepared with a solid plan. The FO got bailed out by the Fred Johnson trade. Their plan was seriously to roll with Pryor as the main backup. Goedert is gone, his blocking was downright terrible this year. I would really like for the offense to commit more to the FB if they are going to use one. It seems the past 2 seasons they have dabbled it in with Latu, BVS, and Khari Blasingame.

Does Steen have any RT potential to hold the fort? He didn't show me that he has what it takes to be the guy at RG moving forward.

He said they have talked and are in a great place, and they'll talk again tonight.

Your prior post you said when asked about AJ, he laughed. Seemingly indicating a problem.

I used to think that, but I think it'll be close. We just don't know how the Eagles view Blankenship. They may not think he's worth 12-14m per season. And frankly, I don't either. Maybe they do though, who knows.

Congrats you’ve joined me in cursing them. I once went to 18 consecutive Phillies, eagles and sixers games in Arizona and saw them lose every single one. Amazing they had won when i saw them elsewhere tho

Back when we were living in Colorado and the sixers were firmly in the middle of The Process, schmoopie was able to score us near courtside tickets behind the one because the nuggets sucked as well. 3/23/2016. Sixers ended up only winning 10 games that year so them losing wasn't a surprise.

But the way they lost? Sixers were up by 2 with almost no time left. Then Emmanuel Mudiay made a 35 footer at the buzzer, after having the ball smacked out of his hands by TJ McConnel, in the basket right in front of us. If you watch the replay you can probably see schmoopie and I standing up in celebration and then slumping down in defeat.

I really don't think he'll get that much as a FA, but maybe I'm wrong.

He’s still not fired yet?

Saw Hurts once again not give a glowing recommendation for KP

Also saw someone forgot to close out their pron tab before taking a screenshot

I have assets -- how much for you to become a Dallas fan and attend games?
