Well?

Would replace Nick with Stefanski in a heartbeat. Can only hope that Lurie has the balls to look past the "optics”.

Surprised that Sam isn’t listed, thought the QB might make the list too. No Jenkins either.

Never said anything of the sort.

But in all honesty - and be fair - do you not think DeVonta Smith as the #1 and a decent #2 - along with Goedert - could produce the passing yards they did this past season?

Come on, my man - be honest.

The passing game was fn awful this year. So that wouldn't be an improvement

I like Stefanksi but there's next to 0 chance they are swapping out Sirriani for Stefanksi. Again unless Sirriani says if Patullo goes then I go like Doug did but that seems unlikely

Good to see Quez there. Breakaway speed demon :)

I mean Devonta did.

900 and 5 tds anyway. Close.

I think what they would get for him in a trade would be worth more than what he would produce here next season. Because of the money he’s probably back anyway though unfortunately.

He did. Devonta is a special player. I'll say it again tho. Howie has a terrible track record drafting WR's

At least they outbid everyone else for Quez

True

Yuck

Eh, then you get 2027 picks and have a massive hole at WR. If you cut him after 2026 and designate post June 1, it's $49mm in dead money as opposed to $43mm now, but you can put roughly half that dead cap in 2028. So the cost is basically $6mm more in dead cap and the $29mm you pay him for 2026, but all that money is guaranteed.

I didn't realize the 2026 money is guaranteed, so based on that I agree it probably doesn't make sense to move off him until after the 2026 season.

Well?

Wouldn't mind him as the OC

I do fear they’re going to wait and procrastinate on firing anyone and we’ll lose out on someone

Quez Watkins, your 2026 WR3.

Dammit, I got an alert from the Eagles and I thought the deed was done. Unfortunately it was to announce futures contracts.

Yea but we locked up Quez Watkins for 2026

no kicker?

He will be gone after a year ala Moore if the O is successful. I think we need someone like a Monken. I hear Greg Roman might be out a job soon. Someone old who will not be a future HC candidate.

Agreed. If the Eagles do move on from him, it'll be then. Not sure they give him another contract to give him guaranteed money and also he'll be another year older

On Eagles fans being spoiled: I disagree, to a point.

After the 1st SB win they tried to repeat with aging veterans, it wasn't sustainable. 2017 was a combination of factors that wasn't going to be replicated. The expectations weren't as high, especially since it was the first SB win in the SB era. They drafted poorly and didn't have good replacements. Bad drafting on defense, busts like Reagor and JJAW. They learned from it.

This time around, Howie has drafted great since 2021 and actually built a championship defense mostly from the draft. Something we always dreamed of! They got a great DC in Vic Fangio. They have young stud players on defense. The core will be good for a long time. They are drafting good Linebackers, even a 1st round LB for the first time since 1970. The offense returned 10 of 11 starters. The state of the league made it wide open for them to win more games, get the #1 seed, and repeat as SB champs.

They didn't need a genius OC. A decent, competent OC would have had this offense performing.

The part I do agree with is expecting a SB win every year. It's hard to repeat. Many teams fans would love to be in the playoffs 5 years in a row and go to 2 SBs, winning 1. However, the way this played out was bad.

I wouldn't mind if they had a good OC and played well and teams just beat them. But the incompetence and negligence from the coaching on offense is inexcusable.

Futures are just guys that were on practice squad. I can't imagine there were many Kickers.

This is also just our PS guys right now. Will have to see if they sign any outside guys.

What would you say are the years he improved? And not by winning (team stat). What years did Hurts improve as a QB?

Fair question. He has improved his fumbling. Doesn’t turn his back to the LOS on scrambles like he used to do. Better at protecting himself and much better at throwing the ball away. Most of that was with Nuss last year.

Yet. Figure that will be an UFDA. If they don’t extend Mann, Eagles could be looking at three new STs specialists this year.

....Yeah uh. I'm not entirely sure we're running a scheme at all after going back and watching a game from early 2021. If that's the pure version of Sirianni's offense, I have no idea what the hell we saw this year - or frankly, even last year in the passing game.

They have certainly simplified the scheme and gone too far the other way for two reasons:

  1. What Hurts is comfortable running

  2. Myopic focus on avoiding turnovers

It worked last year as the passing game just needed to support a historic run game and #2 was critical for that. But it cant carry an offense like that with a average / below average run game which is what we had this year. They need to re-adjust and tweak back a little this offseason

Clearly quez is replacing Aj and took Sam’s spot lmao

His 2025 looked to be regressing. Bailing out of the pocket and not going through his progressions
