EMB Blog: 2025 Regular Season (Part 2) ... and Playoffs

Apparently Devonta said after the game that Hurts and AJ went rogue and did that play call on their own and Sirianni didn't call that.

Hurts was dumb all game. And he's the slow processor who can't find a play on his wrist quick enough and line up the team. That's been an issue since before Patullo...

After that incompletion to brown can see sirianni saying "what? What?”

PI.... DB did not turn his head. Technically, it worked but the refs blew it.

Brown could have made more of an effort back to the ball too. Makes it an easy call.

There is going rogue and running a different play, in which case Siri owns 99% of the blame for going for it and Hurts owns 1% of the blame for audibling into a stupid low % play.

Then there is going rogue and running a play when they were supposed to draw GB offsides. Which, if you are the coach, that’s where you draw the line and bench a player.

The smart play there is trying to draw them off and taking the delay of game to give yourself extra room to punt it inside the 10. If that was the directive and Hurts audibled then he needs a stern talking to.

The rams are winning this conference barring injury

And the best part...Micah Parsons who? He had a few hurries early and then went into the witness protection program, The OL is still doing some things right...kudos to Big Fred for holding down the fort until Lane came back.

I'm good actually. This defense is legit. Phillips is a Von Miller 2021 level home run.

The offense was a horror but I will worry about it if its this bad on Sunday night. I'm just going to enjoy the win.

Defense with phillips might wind up being better than last year if they figure out their 2nd corner.

The Rams may lose to Seattle by 13 on Sunday.

Moro has been better than Milton last season and he’s only getting better.

So they are saying that Jalen called the go ball but Siri called the offense instead of punt.

Would anyone feel better if Jalen had a 9 yard pass knocked down by double coverage?

Bad resolution, but Goedert was open at the sticks.

I decided to just ignore this game for now and wait for next week.

I’m tempted to believe that Hurts wouldn’t go that rogue.

I also don’t know what to believe because I cannot fathom a coach OR QB running a play in that scenario.

But if Hurts did do that, honestly, that’s not something a coach has to protect the player on. He is 100% within reason to say it was his decision to not run a play there and the QB didn’t listen. That deserves more than a talking to.

Don't want to get my hopes up but can you imagine if we get prime Akexander performance? D could be even better than last years #1 defense.

Also, a CB that gets interceptions would be a scary thing to add for this team. He's that guy.

Jaire doesnt have to be as good as he was in GB. He just has to be better than Adoree and Ringo which shouldn't be difficult.

Packers are a good team and this is a quality win. Their pass-rush is legit and we played most of the game without Lane. We were also their revenge game.

Eagles with yet another quality win.

How about worry now. They look like 💩 and this season is week 10.

Milton is roughly 10x the run defender Moro is.

Yep

former NFL TE Jacob Tamme is a regular listener and chat poster on PHLY

He said something like "If AJ and Hurts worked out that last play call then they have to be talking to each other, right?"

Exactly. You either succeed and you get your revenge 4th and 1 tush push, or you get a somewhat more comfortable punt.

If he did, I wish he’d do it more on other downs throughout the game bec KP is a clown

People are going to beat the Hurts to Brown decision into the ground this week...but the reality is they should never have been on the field at all....this stupidity falls at the feet of Sirriani...period. Take the delay of game not the TO and then punt the ball away...make the packers go 50 yards in 30 seconds and trust the D.

We similarly beat New Orleans, Cleveland, Jacksonville, Carolina, and the Rams in the playoffs.

We weren't consistently dominant last season.

They have run that go route to AJ to seal a game how many times now since AJ got here? it worked a few times. They did earlier this year and couple times last year and it worked. So I can see why they went with that play but, still a dangerous game to play for sure

I'll take the win. Sometimes games just go like this.

On the road, in the cold against a good team. And that fumble was just a good late punch a hair before he was down.

F it. I'll take it.

But that last call was whack.
