EMB Blog: 2025 Regular Season (Part 2) ... and Playoffs

4th down call was dumb but at the same time if AJ Brown just jumps into the corner and raise his arms to try to catch it, then he gets the call. CB wasn't close to having his head turned while getting ready to hug AJ. His head is still on where it should be.

Yeah to think Sirianni hesitated to throw the "dagger” in the Super Bowl when they were up by a ton and early down.

(Not a great decision)

Although he probably gave the ok to go for it on 4th down - pretty sure he had no idea what play they were calling,

(The play call made it that much worae)

TBH it did have Hurts/AJ written all over it

lol

The analytics play is to punt. 98.6% chance to win. It drops to 93.7% going for it. To me if you’re going to go for it then run a slant to AJ Brown. Which is the toughest route to cover AJ Brown on. Fact it’s nonexistent in our offense for large stretches is amazing.

The Eagles may be the best D in the NFL now that they have the pass rush fixed. (top 5 for sure)

They have top 5 talent on offense (tonight was sloppy from players, BS penalties, and horrid play calling)

Teams don't play well every week. They still managed to win a road game against a good team.

The Lions got destroyed by Green Bay in Green Bay.

The Lions lost to KC by double digits.

The Lions lost to the Vikings who this offense dominated. They lost to alter ego 9 in his 4th career start.

On this planet the Eagles are 3-0 vs those teams and the Lions are 0-3.

The Eagles are far better than the Lions even if you are sad tonight.

I'm not sure the Lions don't finish 3rd in their own division.

The Seahawks quality win is... none.

The Rams beat the Colts by 7 at home. that's it for them.

The AFC has nothing. Denver might be the best they have and AJ quit on a route or Philly would have blown them out.

The two one seeds both just won 10-7. One of them did it on the road vs Green Bay. The other did it at home vs the Raiders.

The Eagles have exactly 1 difficult game left and its at home next week vs a 3 bad loss team. The Bills are an absolute mess.

I'm not saying they run the table but they are going to win 13+ for sure and probably 14+

Your confidence is admirable if not nonsensical

Needs to be appreciated how the Eagles are facing nearly every team worth a damn in the NFC this season (except for the Seahawks) and they are beating them all. Whether at home or on the road, while each of these games are the biggest games of the season for these other teams.

Each game is a brawl. As long as AJ doesn't go nuclear to really throw things off course then this team has a real chance to repeat.

They’ll be battle tested after this schedule like they were last year. I would assume by the end of the season that their strength of schedule will end up one of, if not the hardest. These first 9 games have been a brutal stretch for the most part and it doesn’t get any easier next week.

Rough game. But look around the league, most of the teams are average and put out bad performances.

No one hates the Eagles more than Eagles fans.

The Lions are stomping a mud hole in this teams azzzzzz next week

@Ace Nova this is him after that 4th down call

The clock after showing him says 02 seconds though. Are you sure that's after the bomb? Looks like it was right before the FG at the end.

Jackson is still the weak link. Love didn't throw much his way until the end of the 4th when he got picked on once again and they dropped a few. Detroit will rip him up.

Might have been at 2 seconds. SVP showed it right after the bomb to Aj failed. Then they went right to the FG kick. I think it’s after the bomb

I'm not saying that they don't have a ton to fix. They obviously do.

I will take talent over lesser talent every day.

I will take Hurts over Goff, Stafford, Darnold, Baker, Mahomes, Nix, Daniel Jones, Drake Maye vs this D.

My #1 takeaway from this game is thank the deity of your choice that Lane is OK.

Sirianni...Not close enough for a FG. Lot of faith in the offense. Stood behind decision on the fourth down.

I get that, glad we won, but this was ugly as hell and I think more than anything signals to many of us that KP hasn't improved.

I stayed up for that!?!?! I better crack open another beer.

Sirianni is the buffoon that sent the offense out there to go for it. He has done this alot . Hurts throws deep to Brown a bunch when we do, did it earlier in year. NFC championship game, etc…

I’ve NEVER seen that dude even glance at a fokin ipad on the sidelines for a quarter of a second. Please someone, show me a picture, it doesn’t exist.

It's been shown MANY times during games. You just clearly want to hate on him.

Here are some screen shots I've grabbed. There were others that they cut away too fast for me to catch.

I think he wants to go for it. listening to his presser, he’s reasoning is idiotic. The eagles are analytics organization. The analytics drop from 99% chance to win to 94%.

This is Siri pissed that the refs did not stop the GB kicker from a practice swing.

Sirianni saw daboll got fired today and decided to give him a tribute by doing something dumb.

Hate the tight formations. Why are we doing this? Spread the field out on run downs. Too many defenders in the box. These formations are just horrible. Same on pass downs. Just dumb.

There is no rhyme or reason to the offense It is like KP. Is just scrolling through plays at random. And to boot he still can't get the fng play call in on time so if Hurts sees it is stupid play be can change it up. Just get whatever stupid play call you are going to call quick so we have a chance to do the complete opposite when we see the defense called

Eagles edge snaps vs. Green Bay:

Jaelan Phillips: 52

Jalyx Hunt: 43

Nolan Smith: 18

Brandon Graham: 8

(Jihaad Campbell played 32 snaps, don't have edge/inside breakdown)
