5 hours ago5 hr The thing is: if you don't sign Phillips, you need a replacement who's not currently on the roster. If you don't sign Dean, you already have Campbell and Trotter. Both are risky, but I think the risk is worth with Phillips (as long as it's not a crazy deal), not with Dean.

The issue is, if you sign Phillips (while having Nolan Smith and Jaylx Hunt), what does that prevent you from doing? Here's a list of players more important than Jaelen Phillips:Jalen CarterJordan DavisQuinyon MitchellCooper DeJeanReed Blankenship - some are down on him, but finding a good safety isn't that easy. I would like if they could keep them all including Phillips but decisions will have to be made. Phillips is replaceable.

If they did that, seems they have no intention of trying to bring him back. It assumes the Eagles made every aggressive move possible and kept nearly everyone.
