Man I thought people perseverating over TC performances and even preseason games was annoying, but now we're panicking over a march flag football game and one of the Paul's trash talk (I refuse to learn which one is which). lol

The blog is back baby!

Yep

Pretty bad

Essentially, each play in today’s flag football is a hot read… so how has Jalen handled that it past? Does he do a good job getting the ball out quickly in general? Should we expect much different results in the future?

Not at all. Hit DeVonta on a number of really nice scores.

AJ :

1) Potentially damaged knees (both have had surgeries) and tight hamstrings

2) Approaching the 30 year mark

3) Is a diva and thinks he's Jerry Rice

4) Dogs it if he doesn't get the ball

5) Doesn't lay out for passes any longer

6) Wants out because he knows he's not getting an extension here and guaranteed money on contract is drying up soon. Acquiring team would have to give him a yuuuge contract. Especially after today's signing of Ngjiba.

7) Doesn't know or care on how to work refs for PI

8) Is a Patriot fan. And worships Tom Brady. Yuck!

And people all concluded in here that he's worth 2 top picks. 😅 In what world? Patriots will probably be bidding against themselves. I'm just worried that the ship sailed and Howie gets punished for being greedy. Eye test says this guy is on the decline. And Devanta is the clear number 1 here. I'm going with that.

Howie should only trade him for an impact player.

Is he good at anything other than having a dumb look on his face all the time?

Second of all, wtf does that mean?

I don't think that quote is even a real quote.

I remember at one point Sydney Brown said he wanted to show he could play more than special teams. Might have been 2 years ago. Might have been before last season. Cant remember.

Im sure he wasnt happy still being a bench player here, but he must have an unrealistic opinion of himself.

If the eagles are concerned bout AJ Brown's knees, theyll lower the asking price to get rid of him. When they get a 3rd round pick fans would be mad. Then AJ plays and shows he cant separate anymore and fans will realize the eagles cut bait at the right time.

So Im not buying the story that they may be concerned too. If they are, theyre being Daryl Morey stupid by setting such a high asking price.

The asking price is about the timing of the trade. They don't want to trade him before June 1st. He can find out information about potential buyers, have an idea of what they want to pay and make the deal when it's best for the team. It's a very smart tactic. He is making it known that the dead money hit drives the price. He gets find out what price other teams would be willing to pay. If NE is willing to offer their late first this year, he knows he has a shot at a 2027 1st from them.

The teams that would be bidding for AJ Brown are drying up due to teams grabbing other WRs and spending that cap space already. And the draft is still coming for teams to grab WRs. I'm not sure Howie is being that smart here. It's more that teams are not seeing this whole proposition being worth the risk. Giving up high draft compensation and having to cater to AJ Brown and his likely contract demands. Patriots don't have to budge before June 1st. The price will go down as will the bidders. I think the Patriots are playing this the best! They are waiting it out on their terms. Eagles will not get a 1st and 2nd rounder, which is Howie's supposed ask here. Let's hope this doesn't turn to a Hendrickson situation where the GM overplayed his hand and got nothing in a trade, as he ultimately got hurt.

So Mekhi Becton was the keystone piece to the team's Super Bowl run in 2024? The team lost no other starter from the 2024 roster on offense.

The key mistake was allowing Patullo to become the coach. Starts and ends with that decision, injuries only made it worse, and it was compounded by sticking with him the entire season when they should've fired him halfway through. Sirianni should never be allowed to make a coaching decision ever again, I don’t care how many super bowls he wins. Weakest NFL in years and they hired a pop warner coach to lead a repeat.

Howie is not going to lower his asking price very much if at all. I can see him lowering it to a 2027 1st and a conditional 3rd that can become a 2nd. Or maybe just a 3rd. But if a team isn't willing to pay the price, he will be here on opening day.

This is a championship window and the calculus of having him on the team for a year and the value of that factors into the high asking price. For Howie to slightly lower his team's chances this year or even more than slightly depending on if they don't draft a WR, a team is going to have to pay a hefty price. And on top of it inferior WRs are getting traded for a 1st and a 3rd. Howie has every right to demand what he's demanding and if teams aren't willing to pay it, ok. Then he'll be here in week 1 and they'll go after yet another SB ring.

Derrick Gunn's account has been hacked for days and I think has been unable to get it back because ever since Elon took over and fired like 75% of the staff, they basically have no customer service anymore over there.

Marcus Hayes' account has been hacked for weeks and it's actually kinda funny because whoever hacked his account just put an X on the end of it and posts about SpaceX all day. They don't even try to scam anyone like most hacks.

Any AJ brown trade won’t happen until after June 1st so this year’s draft picks I’m pretty sure are out of the question.

You were also pretty sure shoving a fist full of GI Joes up your rectum would go unnoticed during your bi-yearly colonoscopy, but here we are 5 surgeries later.....

Eagles traded a 1st (18th) and 3rd rounder (101st) for a 24 year old stud AJ Brown. Why would he be worth more after a crappy 2025 season, where he ****ed and moaned all year and is turning 29 years old shortly. He's is not prime AJ Brown here. Clearly. Everyone is counting on a desperate Patriots offer here. I think they are not stupid. Don't see AJ Brown playing on 2026 Eagles without a new contract extension this Summer that guarantees him more money for 2027 and beyond. That's just never been his MO. He always chases the bag. The winning thing is BS with him. It's always about AJ.

Jordan van den Berg is a mid round DT I wouldn't be surprised if we took a flyer on.

Richard Johnson is clearly a parody account; you think the Philly media wouldn't be all over a quote like that if AJ Brown had actually said it?

Doesn't mean it wasn't funny, though.

I agree that hiring Patullo was a mistake. I am not sure that is entirely on Howie.
