Nick was a deep choice as well. When has Howie/Lurie actually gotten a top candidate?

Probably Chip and you know how that worked out

Shouldn't that say something about or organization? Less sucky is better than full sucky?

The Eagles are nowhere close to the dysfunction and suck that is the Titans. Go look at what they’ve done in the last five years and makes you say anything close to being a functional organization. From player personnel moves to coaching moves their ownership is a disaster. Saleh left a poor organization in the jets and now back into one that might actually be as bad. Can say there’s only 32 head coaching jobs in the NFL. But teams like the Cardinals and Jets. You’re more likely going to fail because their ownership does not allow for success based on how they run it. I would’ve just stayed with the Niners for one more year everybody comes back healthy. Your defense play really well. You’re gonna have a better job opening than those two teams.

Maybe it's all of the above

Good maybe that frees up Brady. He's kind of our last hope at a name

If they can't get Daboll, I'd rather they go for an out of the box hire like Charlie Weis Jr.

No point in hiring a C-tier NFL retread.

Yep and we were against Cleveland there. In any case it's disappointing but almost every coaching search has gone this way except Vic who wanted to come here

Hit it from the back while @hputenis is tied to a chair wearing his saw mask

It's the NFL. Us booing crap isn't the reason people turn down working there.

Wellll if you want to go wayyyyy outside the box........I'm available. I'm cheap and I promise I'm probably as dumb or dumber than KP.

He's really doing a poor job, especially in the middle of a head coaching search, to make his team appealing.

Did a plague target all reasonably attractive women?

They have Josh Allen so people will take it. But it's likely a downward spiral for that team

If the future OC candidate cannot handle our fans, he is should be automatically disqualified. However, that ain't the reason...

It's more than that. But booing winners plays a role.

Yeah our fanbase isn't miserable. We literally are still the defending champs and this is what you get. It's embarrasing

No offense, I don’t think the fans have anything to do with offensive coordinators wanting to come here. If that were the case players would not also wanna come here because fans are hard on the players. That’s not been a problem.

My thing is this the Eagles can put out there that you’re gonna have total autonomy of the offense and sirianni‘s not going to have input on the offense. I think that narrative has come to play and I think people around the league don’t buy it. I brought up the stats yesterday with Kellen Moore in the one year he was here was completely the outlier in the pace of play/plays. I kind of think coordinators with more clout say I don’t have to deal with all that and I get a total autonomy with the Titans because Robert saleh is not gonna stop me from doing what I wanna do. I don’t think that’s the case here regardless of how much BS is put out by the eagles

I’d add to this if you’re trading AJ Brown, Dallas goedert leaves in free agency the weapons you have on this offense aren’t exactly as great as they were in 2024. If you’re gonna lose your top tight end and your top wide receiver and left with is Smith and Saquon Barkley with Jalen hurts it’s not as Attractive as previous iterations of the offense.

Interesting EJ deleted his prior tweet and took out "lengthy interview" and replaced it with just "interviewed"

Fans booing isn't the issue, harassing the OC at his house and bullying his kids at school damn sure might be.

Chip was a hot candidate and came out of college for them. Lurie picked Reid over others. He picked Nick over bigger names.

The team is a good organization with the best GM and top rosters every year.

I seriously doubt that.

Blaming the fans is just coping lol

Arthur Smith, yes Arthur Smith picked the Titans over the Eagles 5 years ago. Nick was not a top choice that's revisionist history

None of us knows what goes into these decisions.

For example, wife is told choice is Philly or SD, where would you want to live the next few years with a $1M a year?

Given the quality of OCs we've been able to hire the last few years (KP was probably due to SB, by the time they started shopping, pickings were slim) doubt people think this is a bad opportunity.
