Nick foles has never called plays before, not saying he cant or would suck at it just that hes never shown he can or be good at it, and if he sucks at it how are fans going to feel berating St. Nick?

That's not true.

Bud Light Philly Philly Case Study - YouTube

Bring him in. He'll call trick plays every down.

Expecting Hurts to work with Foles would be a little weird and a little much IMO.

Got 2 thoughts on this.

1, the Jaelan Phillips decision is just behind AJ Brown as the biggest "fork in the road” decision they will make this offseason.

2, I don’t how it can/will work financially, but I’d be surprised if we weren’t players for Kyle Pitts if he hits the market. That has Howie written all over it.

Where’s this coming from? I know that was the year Tua came in and everything, but both Hurts/Daboll have seemed complimentary of each other over the years. Hurts usually throws in a subtle dig if he wants to be critical- can’t recall any of that. And Daboll has been effusive with his praise - "he’s very special to me” or something like that.

I’d be way more concerned about the Sirianni relationship than the Hurts one.

Also, he got a hell of a lot out of Daniel Jones that first year. Got earlier than expected high level production out of Allen and Dart. People forget just how much of a project Allen was coming out of Wyoming. Now maybe the Bills and to a lesser extent the Giants just won the lottery with the Allen/Dart picks and maybe the first Daniel Jones year was a fluke - but it seems to me that Daboll does a pretty damn good job with mobile QBs.

Daboll and Sirianni worked together in KC. Sirianni said Daboll was a mentor to him or something along those lines.

They both seem to respect each other.

My concern is that keeping Patullo has the hallmarks of the Press Taylor and Rich Scangarello season. He's going to have conflicting loyalties and just may not do what the OC wants him to do because Nick doesn't agree with it.

Feel like that's exactly where this is heading and why the new OC needs to have full control of the offense and staff.

Lol I said that same thing two days ago. And it’s not because I love Kyle Pitts. I can see howie saying to himself he is still young and they had a high draft grade on him. That he made improvements the past couple years. And they believe if they eventually move on from AJ Brown after 2026 that he could step into a bigger role in the passing game. While they draft a wide receiver, who’s young to go with Smith and Cooper.

New OC makes him errand boy. Pick up coffee, donuts and dry cleaning sirianni asks where is patullo and the new OC like:

What has he really done as an offensive coach to make us say yeah that's the guy? I didn't see the Giants using SB well or any real innovation from their offense.

I really hope it's not true. It makes no sense for Howie/Lurie to allow it

Thought I quoted the post lol meant for allowing KP to stay in some capacity

Heck no, I could see Howie hiring this new OC as a potential Sirianni replacement. Deliberately putting the heat on Sirianni. The feeling is that the FO is teetering as we speak on whether Sirianni needs to be fired or not.

He developed Josh Allen into the QB he is. Took the Giants on the playoffs for their inky season in the past 9 years and won a playoff game.

Hire Todd Monken

Trade AJ Brown to the Pats for a first round pick

Sign Isaiah Likely

Sign Patrick Rickard

Draft an OL early

Draft a WR early

Draft a blocking TE on day three

Offense fixed bro

He made Josh Allen into a real QB or something.

I don't see the Eagles as big players in FA and I'm fine with them being responsible. Retaining D talent is more important. I think they'll let Phillips & Reed play the market. I don't think Phillips market will be as hot as Sweat's was last year and I think a deal could be cut. Similar with Reed. He's more valuable to Eagles than to other teams.

Philips will get more than Sweat just for being younger.

I'm trying to find money and ways they can save money across the board.

Let's look at Zack Baun. He's been a fantastic addition, but the logjam at LB is real (provided Dean comes back). Jihaad Campbell is the replacement for Baun, not Dean. I don't think Dean is going to cost as much as Baun and pairing Campbell and Dean, while getting some cap relief might be the best case scenario at LB. They bring 2 completely different skillsets.

@vikas83 Help me out here. Below is Zach Baun's contract and the ramifications if he's a Post June 1st trade.

Does this seem like one of the more realistic ways they could unload a big salary with minimum dead cap hits?

Post June 1, it's $4.572mm of savings in 2026, but $9.648mm of dead cap in 2027.

Also, we aren't trading him.

If Hurts has any input in the process, I would assume he’d advocate for Daboll. This is a big season for Hurts coming up and might determine his future here with 2027 being a cap friendly year with his contract to make a change. It’s one of the reasons why I don’t think they should trade McKee this offseason.

agreed, zero chance he goes anywhere.

Was it him or the QB coach?

Different team but Daniel Jones certainly looked better away from Daboll (and Kafka) then he did with them

So we're going to cut him....

The reporting on Patullo possibly staying has implied he’d come back more in the "associate head coach” role he had before. Lots of "he’d be a sounding board for Sirianni,” etc.

That kind of vague "helper” role is exactly what Patullo should be doing in the NFL, if he has a role at all. It’s where he’s been relegated time and again after failing in position coach roles. But yeah man GTFO, it’s too weird to have him here - Sirianni made his bed by promoting him last year. It’s like making your executive assistant the COO of the company.

I would certainly give credit to Daboll.
