It sounds like when they met with Daboll at some point he told them during the interview that "I should let you guys know that I’m really thinking I’m heading to the Titans if I don’t get a head coaching job.” Whether or not that’s the same as being turned down if he wasn’t offered a job, I don’t know. I think the Eagles were very interested. Whether or not they laid out the red carpet, went all-in and internally were like "We gotta get this guy!” And were crushed when they didn’t, I don’t know. I don’t think the Eagles really operate that way.
