How many coaches do you think get replaced? I’m guessing Stoutland and Singleton stay and the WR and TE and QB coach get replaced. Loeffler might get saved since he was a recent hire. Not sure what system he’s familiar with tho. You’d want a McVay background guy

Reed is a great story, good player. But I think that $ will be better spent somewhere to upgrade the offense before they can offload some of those contracts, or at CB2.

I’d 100% bring Epps back. He’s a much better player than the contract he’s going to get, which will probably be next to nothing.

There's already too much money tied up on offense. They will need to draft offense to start getting younger and on rookie contracts to balance out backup up the truck for the core defensive players in coming years.

I think they need to re-sign Reed to keep most of the secondary intact. With him, Mukuba doing better in his 2nd year learning next to Q and DeJean, they can afford a JAG CB2. If Reed goes, then you have to spend money to sign someone else, who won't be as good because if you're going to spend money on that position, just keep Reed. If you draft someone, you're going to have to draft high (with needs elsewhere) and go into the season with a rookie and 2nd year player as your safeties? The defense is the strength of this team, and need to keep them strong. Hopefully, the new OC/PGC fix the offense but I don't want the defense weakened.

They need to be drafting O line and TE, maybe Edge, they may even draft a WR depending on how the board goes. Or a corner to fill in CB2 on a rookie deal with at least a talent. Howie has a lot of decisions to make and we have to see how free agency goes. I like Reed. I also think he likes Philly and wants to stay. DeVonta could have got more money elsewhere and stayed, and still got paid. We'll see.

Come to Philly! Posts a cryptic quote, has an EAGLE, and a diamond meaning RING. He wants a ring in Philly!

j/k, just poking fun at how people overreact, just happen to open twitter and saw this.

Don’t understand wanting a DL background at DC

Minter is calling defensive plays anyway. Maybe they have some other role in mind that's not a traditional DC

Foles was just being positive imo. I wouldn't read much into it. And I mean that in a very neutral way.

I think he did talk about Mannion's memory. He also would have spent a fair amount of time with him. I agree it doesn't mean he will be a good OC for the team.

Reed still solid vs run, but took a large dip in coverage with a 29.9 PFF Coverage Grade. I think that checks out from what we saw here. I am looking for an upgrade here and CB2 this year to get back to Superbowl caliber defense. They certainly gave up more big plays this year. Especially to Rag Tag 49ers WR crew in Wildcard game. That should be your red flag that we need upgrades back there. Very mediocre.

"Much persuasion" = a pay raise and "We'll re-sign Phillips"?

I obviously want Fangio back and think he'll do a good job. But there is a part of me concerned with bringing back someone with one foot out the door already.

I agree and also think it probably creates an odd dynamic where his assistant coaches are vying for his job.

He’s old school. He’ll be working hard until he officially calls it quit

He already has a lot of say over personnel but I wouldn't be surprised if they made it more formal.

Our own DL coach, Hurtt, may be the in-house candidate for DC after Vic retires.

I like this one. He's not David Bailey, but he's a player.

No. I’ve been on the side of "we should’ve fired him in 23’”…

With our roster. We should be going for that 3-peat right now

I don't think you're getting the point. I'm moving on

I don't expect the Eagles to be very active or to do much in free agency, but some potential outside free agents I could see interesting them in the event they do a little more than we expect there

OL:

Isaac Seumalo

Mekhi Becton

Wyatt Teller

Alijah Vera Tucker

Tyler Lindenbaum - probably re-signed by Ravens and unlikely Eagles would pay two centers, but if they have long-term concerns with Jurgens he could be a staple.

Edge:

Joey Bosa

Kahlil Mack

Kwity Paye

Boye Mafe

David Ojabo

Safety:

Julian Blackmon

CJGJ

Geno Stone

Kamren Curl

CB:

Tariq Woolen

Alontae Taylor

Greg Newsome

TE:

Isaiah Likely

Kyle Pitts

WR:

Romeo Doubs

Olamide Zaccheaus

Rasheed Shaheed

I'd love to have Mekhi Becton back. He was a definitely force in the run game. I'd like CJGJ back but no way that's happening. Romeo Doubs is a concussion concern. He's already had two nasty concussions which is why he wears the padding over top his helmet.

Garafolo pushing back some on EJ Smith.

This whole thing seems very weird.

Yep, I’m not a fan of the possibility

The media has clearly and obviously been trying to speak the 2024 Eagles downfall into existence. The bitterness they have that it was arguably the most dominant NFL team this century and that it wasn't a Cowboys or Giants team is palpable. It's been going on for a while now. From banning the tush push, to trying to speak AJ Brown being gone into existence, to Fangio. Next will be Lane Johnson.

Maybe a good thing...makes them work their tail off vying for that job, worst outcome would be underachieving and end up getting replaced the next year IF he were to retire...I see it as a positive either way, he's not gonna coast, the man is a competitor and he'll get the best from his assistants, that will set one of them up to replace him and keep the D rollin.

No. Just no.

Fangio isn't the type of guy to "half fast it". He practices what he preaches. If he comes back, it's because he's committed.

Meh I think it’s kinda like what Kelce did the last like 5 years of his career. Also all the old ball coaches are actually addicted to ball instead of real life, so I’m sure he’ll be itching to get back into this stuff come March

Vic isn't that old and has his dream job. Something had to wear him out and it wouldn't shock me if it was Nick and the offense. He is a clown who pissed away all the work he did this year because he had to hire and protect his buddy. Doubt Vic respects that or wants to waste another year of his life.

If any of that is true and Howie and Jeff kept Nick they are idiots.

Come on man. Everything doesn't have to come back to your fan bitterness for Sirriani/Hurts. Vic was in the nfl for a long time and had some very good defenses and never won a championship before last year.
