Let's hope. Despite what the AJ fan boys think and say they can't afford to bring him back. I don't care if it was the Giants, I don't think it's a coincidence that the one game game he missed was by far and away the best the Eagles passing game looked all season. There is just too much pressure on Jalen and the play caller to force him the ball in fear that he will throw a hissy fit. There is also too much pressure on everyone that if he becomes unhappy he will straight up quit on the team like he did in the playoff game. Maybe I'm silly, but I don't want my 33 year old first time play calling OC to have to worry about this crap. Also, for anyone who thinks for whatever reason that AJ will be different and happy moving forward you are a gullible fool. This is the same guy who a day after winning the SB said it didn't make him happy. There is literally no pleasing this guy and he is just way to unpredictable. We got our "money's worth out of him" in the initial trade and it's clearly time to move on and move forward.

I remember the TO days. The short lived career that was, here in Philly. AJ is nothing compared to that. The folks that are up in arms about his transparency about the putrid offense we kept walking out every week are a bunch of sour puss babies. I enjoyed his transparency much better than the "we’re close, we’re grinding,” garbage that was coming out from everyone else.

AJ has not created any issues within the locker room, all of the players and coaches constantly talk about what a great player/teammate he is. These same things were not said about TO. To want to rid yourself of one of the best players we have because he was upset the offense was trash is crazy talk. Did he have bad games/moments? Yep. But he wasn’t the only one.

We are a better team with AJ on it.

Cleveland calls and says they’ll do Myles for JC and Nolan straight up. Do you do that? And if you do, do you still push to sign Jaelen?

Put down the bottle.

I don’t like the idea of trading JC, but if the Raiders are offering a 2027 1st+, Howie may have a hard time saying no. That could likely be a top 3-5 overall pick

But a second round pick in current value. Terrible deal. Unless, of course, you’re talking about Campbell. Then it makes sense.

Yeah, sure buddy. His effort level was questionable at best off and on throughout the season and he flat out quit on the team in a playoff game which is unforgivable. The team is better with AJ on it if he is happy and motivated. Unfortunately that ship sailed two years ago and he is a massive problem and distraction that needs to go.

I see the AJ glazers are coming out in doves, shocker. Says a lot about "Eagles fans" who are more concerned with their favorite player than the fact that said favorite player blatantly quit on the team in a playoff game in addition to be a negative distraction that dragged the team down all season long. I'm surprised you could type while massaging AJ's balls, clown.

The purpose of the rumours around Carter. Is he being traded (because of x, y or z) or is that part of the process for a new contact?

The team did him a massive favour after the spitting incident, etc, so this won't be a simple one to negotiate. No one is bigger than the team tho

Actually AJ Brown is bigger than the team, that's what a few clowns on the EMB told me.

I'd say no. MG is 30 and has maybe 2 years left at at elite level. IF they move him it should be for a haul of picks or a mix of picks and a good young player. The hard truth is it's going to be very hard to keep Carter, Q, Coop, and Hunt after giving Davis that contract. I don't hear people talk about Hunt often, but he's going into year 3 of a 4 year contract, so they will all hit at the same time. Again, IF you are moving him getting a haul of picks for Carter helps offset that vs two years of an aging vet with a big contract.

Lmao. Man you’re going to be punching air every time AJ catches the ball and when he scores wearing an eagles uniform this season.

Many of these posts are coming from different people, but all generally rational posters...and something just isn't adding up.

- There is a general enthusiasm and consensus that we want the Eagles to re-sign Phillips.

- There is also a general consensus that they cannot afford to extend Davis, Carter, Phillips, Mitchell, and Dejean.

If those two things hold true, we should be pretty opposed to any news of a Phillips extension. That means someone else on the list above (Carter), has been accepted as a loss and will be dumped for whatever they can get.

One year ago, when the team was true SB caliber, Carter was probably listed by everyone as the single most important player on the defense.

Already assume they're losing Gordert and Dean. They can probably resign the rest. Especially if they wisely move on from Noaln Smith also.

Those things are fluid.

One year ago the MVP was different than the MVP this year.

Performance is up and down from year to year. For some the peaks and valleys are more different than others.

And it's not just performance we are looking at. It's likely also due to health concerns.

And possibly off field issues.

Yeah but Carter is 24. The MVP 1 year ago was a RB who will never get back to that.

Ill just say, again that the eagles arent going to trade Carter for no reason; and this isnt the Cowboys- they arent going to trade him because they cant pay him. They knew the caliber of talent they drafted. They've had time to work him in to the plans. That is why Milton Williams is no longer here. That is why we are talking about losing Goedert and Dean this year. They planned for paying him and have acted accordingly.

If they trade him, there are reasons. Reasons we can speculate on. And potentially reasons that we arent even aware of.

And to trade a player of his caliber, their rationale will be strong. I trust that. Cause this isnt a front office of buffoons.

Q, Cooper, Davis and Carter are who I want to build my D around.

I don't think Philips is in that league - I'd take the 3rd or 4th comp pick for him next year and move on

Don't buy into that at all that they can't extend the core 4 and still sign Philips. It depends on how much Philips goes for. If it is high 20s then let him walk. Low 20s then sign him and they can and will still be able to sign the other guys.
