Replacing Parsons with Hendrickson isn't an upgrade. It may mean they don't go for an edge in a draft that has depth at that position.

It is pretty funny that the only guy that was talked about as a target outside the organization who is obscure too is the first one extended today before we even had a shot.

Howie seriously set a major precedent in cutting Wentz and taking on a huge cap hit. The rest of the NFL was scared to do it before he did. Now, teams have far less hesitation to take their penicillin, take the hit on the chin, and get a fresh start. Seemed embarrassing at the time...who would have known that it was a landmark move?

Wentz was traded for a first round pick. The trade became part of the AJ Brown deal. (I said Jordan Davis) Washington picked Jahan Dotson with the pick.

Sorry...we all know he was traded for good comp. It was the willingness to take "the largest dead hit in NFL history." Which has been done several times since then.

Eagles fans before 2021: They draft terribly on defense and have garbage WRs and LBs.

Eagles fans now: now that we have stud WRs and drafted a championship defense and won a SB, we should trade our top WR and DT, and let our starting 1st round Edge, MLB and starting Safety leave in free agency. They're all easy to replace.

Not sure you are being serious but the guy is comfortable in Jacksonville and no state income tax in Florida. Guys sometimes take lesser money to stay in Phiily as they are comfortable with the area and staff.

There's some reasoning behind all mentioned. I don't want to trade either player but again, there's some reasoning for each. It's not out of the clear blue sky.
