I don’t usually get personal on here, but your post hit me. I’ve been where you are. I’ve had a couple suicide attempts in my past and spent time in inpatient treatment afterward. I’m still in therap

He averages about 500 yards a year when healthy. Not a bad move, and I'm sure that he's not going to cost much if they choose to move on. But, at least they aren't looking to go into the season with just Smith if they move on from Brown. Hollywood Brown and Moore are at least competent NFL WRs... not great, but competent. They aren't Deontay Burnett, JJAW or Jalen Reagor.

Yep, he averaged 60 receptions for 589 yards in 2023 and 2024 in Cleveland.

Devonta will be WR1 and from there I would expect them to piece meal the rest together with some combination of Hollywood Brown, a draft pick, Elijah Moore, and Darius Cooper. It's kind of interesting that they added two free agent WR's now who are primary slot receivers. Moore is still probably more of a dart throw though/insurance if Hollywood has injury issues which has been an issue in the past for him.

You know what's funny. I just read an article that says the Moore signing means the Eagles are keeping Brown because they are close friends. Then I read another saying the Moore signing is the final piece of WR insurance the Eagles need to trade Brown.

I think Elijah Moore has nothing to do with AJ Brown. Just like Dalton has nothing to do with McKee. I think Howie is trying to bullet proof every position as best as he can and have optionality. I think, he's fallen short at S and DE to date. I expect more on both fronts. Last year, he whiffed at Parsons and Justin Reid. So it's in his intentions to make a splash, but will he execute this time around? Dart throwing is great, but he's going to need to strike it big to get back to the Big Dance.

What, you aren't excited about a 5'10 185 lb. 27 year old slot corner with zero starting experience at safety possibly starting next to Mukuba?

Right now, Epps would be the other starter.

I think Howie learns his lessons each season and is good at self correcting. Almost overconfident at that. I think he needs real legit starters in each position. Makuba is unproven and recovering from a serious injury, Carter & Epps are stopgaps for me. You're only strong as your weakest link. Good teams find ways to attack it. A draft pick wouldn't solve those 2 positions right away.

I sure hope so but the beats disagree with you. They keep pushing Carter and saying how much the Eagles like him at safety. McMullen and EJ (I know I know, two morons) said on Monday that he is more likely to start next to Mukuba than Epps, which I find laughable.

Agreed on edge rusher. That said and while still not ideal I would feel much about the safety position if they drafted someone in the first or second round which they probably won't do.

They can both talk about how much QB1 sucks ass and needs to play in a dummy offense to make him look average

True

Yeah. I'm on board with Q's buddy. He didn't draft LB in 1st round til he grabbed Campbell. He's been breaking a bunch of trends in the last couple of years. Counting the Barkley signing two years ago. He doesn't want to be too predictable.

Well, Epps started games for us at safety in prior seasons. Carter barely played. So the more likely assumption is Epps slated as starter but we'll see after they add a draft pick. Fangio likes competition.

Just saying as our 4th or 5th wr if aj is in the team it’s our best WR corps in a while. Aj, smith, Hollywood, Moore and cooper is arguably deeper than what we’ve had over the past couple seasons

Does it matter? We don't even use WR3 let alone 4 or 5

Yoooo 🤣

46 games at S for Duke is not "zero starting experience at safety”.

College isn't the NFL homie. Either way he is still a smurf and so is Mukuba. They would be a horrific tandem stylistically.

I agree that hiring Patullo was a mistake. I am not sure that is entirely on Howie.

Not entirely, it's 50/50 between him and lurie. It's their job as the superiors to tell nick "Hey that's probably the most idiotic move we can make right now with the window we're in. Find someone else or we'll do it for you". Especially after the Brian johnson debacle. They tanked the season from the start, returned almost the entire team and had it not been for Vic they would've been under .500

Not now with Mannion here. GB's offense had production all over their WR depth chart - Reed, Wicks, Doubs, Watson when he finally got back, Golden started to flash later on too.

Makes sense that he'd specifically target the depth behind AJ and Devonta. Brown/Moore/Cooper isn't bad at all for what we spent to get it.

He is out of his freaking mind. With Johnson signing today I think it's been very solid. Yeah, safety is up in the air and they need and edge. That's about it. They'll sign a vet guard at some point.

CB2 is going to be better than people think and he added depth and lottery picks. Again, I wanted a 5 million dollar safety, but outside of that I'm not sure what else he could have done. He can draft BPA and he isn't done signing vets and making moves. I'm excited to see what they do.

We’ve also been fortunate to not have long term injuries at WR. Miss a week or two. So won’t likely but if someone goes down for multiple weeks it’s better we have depth as compared to previous years.

Anyone with half a brain knows not to take him even remotely serious. His entire schtick is to be negative about the Eagles and Hurts to rage bait people into calling.

Im a little bit excited about Elijah Moore.

It looks like he is disappointingly not a RAC guy. I expected more explosiveness from a little guy with 4.35 speed but he seems to lack the quick change of direction to make the CB miss after the catch.

Still, looks like a knack for getting open and reliable hands. Should be a reliable player. Maybe a better version of Zaccheus Im thinking.
