Welcome to Kmart. Low prices for life.

Unless I missed something, the only departing free agent who has not signed anywhere yet is CB Adoree' Jackson, correct? I wonder if they'll add him for depth. Maybe a post-draft signing if he's still available.

Okoronkwo and VanSumeren

I'd only bother signing Jackson if they ship off Ringo or Bennett. They have those two plus Jonathan Jones and Mac McWilliams for depth as is. Jackson would be better but seems kind of unnecessary at the moment.

I seriously forgot Bennett was still on the roster.

I think Vic has as well.

Notes for those who can't/won't watch:

  • Getting better every day, but it's tough

  • During SB run: herniated disc, right before the playoffs it broke off and wrapped around his sciatic nerve, it like suffocated my leg. It was hard to walk, don't know how I was playing. It was easily the worst month of my life (because of the injury and miserable pain) but also the best month of my life because they won the SB.

  • Always tough to have surgery in the offseason but when you have back surgery, it is TOUGH. It takes a good year to come back from that. I'm starting to feel really good. But all year just trying to get through that was a tough year with the back. But it's feeling so much better.

  • Question: is there a re-evaluation period after an injury, as far as career longevity, re-thinking how long you'll be able to play. He basically said it's about the rehab process, which is brutal because you're in pain, can't walk, etc. But have to love the process. Whatever you're doing today, attack the day.

  • I've had so many injuries, it just comes with it. Throughout HS and college, I broke a bone in October every year for 6 straight years.

  • Surgery history: had 6 or 7, which isn't terrible, nothing major except the back last year. Nerves take a long time to heal, no time in football to be fully healed you have to play. "Whatever you are at, is 100%."

  • How did you get ready for the Super Bowl? NFCCG warm ups, he was having trouble even walking, told the team he doesn't know how he can play. But Dickerson got hurt so he stepped in. Get an epidural shot and just go.

  • Epidural shot: helps relax the joints. But he had so much pain that shot down his leg, it felt like he tore his calf. It's just a nerve that caused it, didn't tear anything but it felt like it because of the pain.

  • Every day rehabbing with the pain is something new you feel each day different, you just try to get out of bed and be able to walk to the facility. Sitting on a (physio? couldn't make out the word) chair because he couldn't sit on a normal chair.

On Stem Cell treatment in Colombia (2:12:18 mark)

  • Great, noticing a difference, it takes a while for them to kick in.

  • Also had NAD drip: something you have to have done before the stem cell treatment. He's had NAD drip a few times before in the past. It's painful and takes about an hour, you feel like you're dying. He does about 750mg.

  • What is an NAD drip: slow drip over about an hour. For pain and cellular metabolism and aging. You feel sick, flu-like symptoms, balls tighten up, feel like you're going to throw up. But immediately after the IV is removed, you feel amazing. It's just a short term pain to go through

  • Cam and Lane Johnson would try to pressurize the IV bag to make it go faster to get it over with, and "race" to see who could finish first. Usually in about 4 minutes which is a lot at once.

  • How does Cam feel after? Not necessarily feel better after, but don't feel bad anymore. More relieving pain for him (Taylor Lewan said it felt amazing to him).

Other topics

  • Business side of NFL: players can get an injury and the team will cut them rather than pay for their rehab if they're just a backup, give them an injury settlement instead. Happens during a drill, the coaches move the drill up 5 yards and keep going.

  • After a portion on family life, Cam asked the hosts about what retirement is like and life after football. Able to enjoy weekends and holidays and not be constantly thinking about football and being anxious all the time worrying about this week's game. Cam replied that when you're playing it's constant anxiety and pressure, you're in a tunnel and not thinking about the outside world.

  • Described the intensity of game day like it's going to war, and family is excited for the tailgate and all that and he's blocking all that out because so focused on the game

  • How long will he play: as long as I can, playing in Philly is a great place to play. Ideally, a couple more contracts. But looks forward to retirement someday and being able to relax. It's a lot from college to pros a lot of work, looks forward to someday not having to work as much. Also he started a beef jerky business he wants to see grow.

Yea we are going to need a center.

Cam Jurgens sure is talking a lot and pondering retirement already at only the age of 26. I would be surprised if he played "a couple more contracts".

NAD drips and stem cell treatments for degenerative disc disease are about a half step better than trying to cure your autism by not getting a flu shot.

I didn't want to reach too much or add commentary but he did seem to be interested in the post-retirement life. And went into a lot of detail about how painful the injury was.

They need a backup plan for Dickerson and Jurgens.

Thanks very much for the work. Cam is an issue.

I am far more interested in Carter II at safety than most. The guy can play. If Howie and Vic want him there, then signing Epps as a backup and safety net is a great move. I'm alone in this, but I'm truly comfortable if they are done there.

Half their OL is trying to repair their broken body with voodoo medicine off-site in the offseason. Let's worry about that.

It's really a shame. Jurgens and Dickerson are both great guys, warriors who give their all. But their bodies just aren't going to last.

There were like 2 maybe 3 other young players this offseason who retired early. It really shows how strong and tough these guys are to last long. Look at Lane Johnson, what an absolute beast and warrior to play all this time.

Yes he did that in the past. He hasn't been posting since Lurie asked him not to. That's what fans wanted, for him to stop posting.

He just recently reposted a video to his IG story a week or two ago of him talking about how a Patriots Super Bowl was his biggest Super Bowl memory. And he went on multiple podcasts around the time of the Super Bowl talking about how much he loves the Patriots and Vrabel yet made no mentions at all of the Eagles.

That had to be very painful for you. Are you ok?

Sorry that I pointed out that your claim was incorrect.

I don't know why this imbecile is on my feed all the time, but I had enough.

At the time I took his word for it. Now? I’m not so sure

Rams trade incoming? unsure

Well I said he's posted stories on his IG. It's not a video on his IG account, so maybe a story. Whatever podcast that was posted it on Twitter.

Point being, he's not posting about other player acquisitions or players leaving. He's not active like he used to be. His few posts have been about charities. He deleted his Twitter. Expecting him to comment on a player signed yesterday is unrealistic.
