Here’s one of my 2 separate current issues. This thing has been coming around our house at night, took one of our cats last week. Last night was the 1st time I came face to face with it and, initially, it looked as tall as a deer. Must be a coyote, we have coyotes around, but it has a collar and I didn’t think they got this big. I managed to run it off to the far end of my next door neighbor’s yard where it stopped, took measure of me for a couple of minutes, then came at me. Wasn’t afraid of me at all.

That is 100% a coyote. A well fed one at that.

The collar is weird though. I wonder if that is for tracking?

Not sure, they say they don’t track coyotes around here. Pretty sure that collar means I can’t shoot it though.

I think a high powered pellet gun to the things ass would be enough to deter it from coming back

I think so too but the law thinks otherwise. Now, it may get to a point where the misdemeanor fine becomes worth it, but I hope not.

Are there people around that would report you? I don't think the coyote is going to tell anyone

Sent the Ring videos to the NC Department of Wildlife and they quickly came back and said not a Coyote, way too big to be a Coyote, definitely a domestic mixed breed dog of some sort, possible a wolf hybrid deal. Back in Guilford County Animal Control's jurisdiction. We'll see what they say.

Yes. I would, but I went out there ready to fight it last night and quickly felt that I might be overmatched. When it started coming back at me, the look in its eyes looked just like they do in nature documentaries when the wolves are stalking their prey. Waiting for animal control to get back to me with a plan.

We found the owner. 23 year old girl with a torn ACL, lives about 1/4 mile through the woods behind us. Said her dog (she actually bought that monster as a puppy) ran off a couple of weeks ago and, even though she's heard him in the woods, she hasn't been able to catch him, due to the whole torn ACL thing. Anyway, we got her phone number to call her when he shows up again tonight. Now, knowing that it is someone else's dog, I'm going to have to try to muster up the balls to see if will be friendly to me tonight. If I'm not posting tomorrow, assume the answer was no.

Ugh..... back when that movie came out...... My oldest son asked me for help. He was one of the managers at a toys are us.... he asked if I would work in the back assembling bikes and pulling stock for Christmas.....

yes boys and girls even in 2010 there were issues getting people to work.....

anyway Damn frozen..... and its stupid song..... let it go.....it had been played every 15 minutes over the PA system..... it got to the point I had all the 17 and 18 yr old kids singing over their radios LET IT EFFING ( not effing but you get the idea ) GO ALREADY every time it came on. To this day I still suffer from PTSD when I hear it.

loved working with all those kids... they all called me dad over the radio......" hey dad.... can you come up the front " ? " dad ? A mom needs help carrying a box to their car "...... for that call I would RUN to the front lol.
