Couldn’t disagree more. When the team is playing like crap appearances can be deceiving. Giving a F would be the least of our problems especially with Ertz.

How do you explain the lack of effort this season then?

I think you need to take off your Eagles colored glasses for a minute and look at the player Ertz is now...not the player who caught the winning SB52 pass.  He is a good tight end.  He can find soft spots in a defense.  He's no longer a bad matchup for linebackers however.

* 69-of-81 snaps * 20 snaps slot or wide * 8 targets for an 18.6% share * 85 receiving yards, more than Zach Ertz has had since Wk 14 of last year

Richard Rodgers this season: 18 targets, 184 yards Zach Ertz this season: 45 targets, 178 yards

He’s not declining. He may not be playing well but who the heck on our team is?

Umm. How about two minimum salary guys in Ward and Fulgham?  He went out performing like he was butt hurt because he wasn’t getting paid like Kittle and we got a side by side.  Given the money situation and Goedert, Ertz is the most expendable and tradeable asset on the team.  I would be shocked if he is in TC next year.

Looks like he's doing the same thing Jackson did years ago during a contract year and not put too much effort in

Not a contract year. Signed through 2021.

I hope you're right but embarrassment is a strong motivatior. At least in the short term.

True. I just think they have plenty enough to be embarrassed about and still came out flat two weeks in a row. You can just tell there's no real team there and just a bunch of me guys, and this is going back to last year. No one to rally around. It goes against analytics but if I'm the Eagles I want to get the ball first to start the game. Go down the field, put up a TD and early lead, and they probably just fold.

Does Bryant, practice squad receiver.

Still not putting in the effort this year

Id go for a stud LB but Im not sure if any are available. We wont draft one, so a trade is the only way. So Id be all in. For an average LB though, meh... Id go for the #2 CB instead.

So, depends on the tier we are looking at.

Regardless of what we do, an RB addition needs to be made.

I think Schwartz likes Maddox to much for them to do anything at #2 corner. Which is a pretty big mistake. Should have addressed in the off-season... I'm just over Schwartz.

I'd  be fine with Avery Williamson though. He's a legit Lb , heads and shoulders and torso better than anyone we have in that room. He just turned 28 and is a good guy and locker room leader. Right now these young linebackers have nobody to look up to. He can be the leader by example and vocally which should rub off on our young backers. He won't cost much in terms of contract and compensation. While I'd love Zach Cunningham or Myles Jack, they will cost in both of those areas... Not sure who else we could snag that's not too expensive.

Cool. BG is better than Joey Bosa. (Average 6 and 2 is 4, 5 and 7 is 6 so the math proves this is true - for all those that took Logic in college).

Playing this year out on full tilt means you'll have late off season surgeries. Which means pushed back start times. Sh!t draft position Which means another mediocre regular season next year, but this division sucks so another 9-7 season and a WC loss!! WOO HOO!!! 4 years in a row

So please tell us, based on what happened last year, where you think we would have drafted, and who we should have taken.

Ceedee Lamb. Would've been in the same spot a Dallas had

If he should be paid like a top TE it shouldn't be by the Eagles.  $63M over the 2021 cap as it stands now; some guys are going to have to move on, and he's one of the most logical candidates.

If Ertz was Old Yeller, then Howie would have just shot him already.

Old Yeller wasn't shot because he was old - he was shot because he was rabid after defending the family from a wolf. Are you saying Ertz is rabid?

There are lots of national sports "experts" shaming the hell out of the Cowpies. If they have Any self respect they could come out hard.

Eagles need punch them in the mouth early.

If there's any game where the Cowboys suddenly "wake up" and play better.....this would be the week against us.

I can see it now...

And what would that have done to change the fact that we have 1 of 5 offensive line starters healthy ??

I'm just answering your questions. Hard to f up higher draft picks but I wouldn't put it pass Howie to f it up if we were to get one

The horse has been beaten so hard on this it turned to glue. The Eagles aren't tanking while they are division leaders.

didn't want Ceedee Lamb before the draft - don't want him now - no thanks. I'm happy with our 2020 draft - well, the Hurts pick still Hurts, but otherwise.

You should watch more college football and watch how good he is. Outside of Jeudy he was the best coming out. I'd take him all day over Reagor

I’m saying Ertz was the first Eagles player to give up when the game vs WASH began to turn, and I’m saying when he returns from his foot injury he will continue playing the way he was playing to start this season — not the way he played before this season.

His body language, his pass routes, and his drops are saying he doesn’t care.  Maybe not rabid, but afflicted with ‘mail-it-in disease‘

are his stats so far out of sight that it wouldnt be reasonable to expect a healthy reagor to match that production?

Right now, leading rookie WRs are Jefferson, and #2 is my boy Tee Higgins. Not CeeDee. Not even Jeudy.

And if I recall correctly from when I looked yesterday I believe Shenault is 3rd. Still not CeeDee or Jeudy.

Or Maybe Claypool was 3rd and Shenault 4th.

Anyway,  you know what fans here would be saying about Howie if he traded up for CeeDee and Lamb wasnt even in the top 5 of rookie production right now? Can you imagine?

To be determined.  We will see.

Fulgham has a higher YPC and 1 more TD in 3 less games.

LOL - fair enough.

Ceedee is behind Cooper and Galloup. I can't see the cowgirls keeping all 3 going into next year. Can't they get out of that Cooper deal after 2 seasons? I don't remember what it was. Outside of you I was probably the 2nd biggest Higgins fan. I like Jefferson over Reagor too. Howie took his guy so I'm not even mad about it. You take the guy you want
