I'd be ok if there is a mix of buying and selling.  We need a LB and/or CB.  Not just this year, but next as well.

JP, again, dictates what he will and wont do for the team. He's really getting on my nerves.

If that's he case then he should let his ego aside and know that the best course for the team is to let Mailata continue at LT

But, but, but, surgery now and a higher draft pick, right @Bacarty2

If he's injured then he shouldn't play though

Yup definitely would be in the market for a MLB and a corner

If there are each of those to be had that one can lock up for say 3 seasons then yeah why not.

Especially if one can trade current older players for younger players.

I have no idea of any possible targets at either of those positions but hoping howie does.

Everything I have read is it is a rest situation.  So he is hurt, not injured.

Do we ever really know what's going on with Eagles injuries?

Regarding getting younger...

Here are the players with 7+ years of experience on the roster.  Starters in bold.  Expected departures in italics.

Peters, DeSean, Graham, Kelce, Brooks, Cox, Curry, M. Jackson, Jeffrey, McLeod, Ertz, Johnson, NRC, Slay.  (I bolded Malik Jackson because he is getting starter money.)

So that's nine players that are "old" and expensive going forward.  I don't think Graham, Kelce, McLeod, and Slay are poor investments.  Brooks, Malik, and Johnson are injury question marks, but when healthy, are difference makers on the field.  Cox is, well, Cox and will be a fixture given his contract.  So that just leaves Ertz.

I think the age thing is overblown a bit.  This isn't like George Allen's teams in Washington.  It's not the number old players that is the issue.  The issue is that we need more of our younger players to be as good as the older ones.

The Cowboys shaking up their defense doesn't scream tank mode to me. Their defense is the worst in the league, why would you keep putting out the same guys game after game when they just aren't getting it done. If the Boys start moving offensive pieces, that would signal a tank to me.

We'll give them a third for that Ceedee lamb guy

Yea. Dallas can give up Elliot and 2nd for a 6th AND take on an additional cap penalty of $9M to do so tomorrow.

1. Trade away players for net negative return.

2. Take on additional cap penalty

3. ???

4. Profit

Lol his premise is tank for good draft position, then, trade away star players and those high draft picks for....reasons?

Nah, it never seems to work taking on ex-Cowpokes. They have that taint, and stink to them that never washes off in Philly. F that guy!

Am I alone in not wanting to move Barnett? I guess a 2nd rounder is good value for him, but I dunno, I like how he's played this year and he's still very young (relatively speaking). The only real issue I have is that he is a bonehead, who takes insanely dumb penalties and seems to try and instigate fights with other teams.

With our cap space it makes sense to see what’s out there for him. Anything less than a 3 would be disappointing, but I’m not sure a team would want to pay that plus pay him $10M next year.

Nope.  Need to keep the young guys we have.

I have no idea. I'm bowing out at this point, it's becoming fantasy football.

Agreed, but so many teams need pass-rush help. Griffin went for a 6 and he's washed.

Sure, but a 6 is nothing. That’s a head start on UDFAs.
