What do players know.  Only a guy on the EMB wouldn't put a guy in who has the most punt return TD's and the 3rd most punt return yardage in Eagles history.

Lets all read about Tim Brown becoming the oldest player to return a punt for a TD at 35.

https://www.fanduel.com/theduel/posts/video-remembering-when-35-year-old-tim-brown-became-the-oldest-player-to-return-a-punt-td-in-nfl-history-01ec5e3pkh2v

Tim brown also had played all 16 games the previous  6 seasons and wasn't coming off an injury that game.

He also had 6 PR that season.

The same amount of PR desean has had the  last 4 years.

Like I said the risk outweighed the reward.

Right cause it was really hard to know which fuller i was referring to when i added the Texans part. Just for future will is short for William which is his full name.

I am still confused, are we talking about William Vincent Fuller V or William Henry Fuller Jr

Desean shouldn't be on the roster... that's just the cold hard reality.  So, by extension, is a bad PR choice.

I agree completely.  But he's here.  In that situation, I'd have put him at PR too.  It got us 15 yards.

A drive that the entire season depended upon would have started 15 yards further back if they did not use Desean as the PR there.  I understand the rationale that he shouldn't be on the roster, but I don't understand the rationale that he was supposed to be saved for something else.

He didn't get 15 yards he got zero yards and hurt.

He came up to catch the punt... but it wasn't a 'returnable' punt.  So, he made sure that they didn't lose any extra yardage on a bounce.

But, by coming up to catch it, he took the hit (personal foul) and then a cheap shot after that.  He should have gotten the team 30 yards because of his decision to catch the ball in that spot... but alas, that's a nuance you won't understand, because you think Ward is capable of making a play as a returner, and hasn't been horrific in that role since he was put back there by necessity, because there was no one else.  When Desean came back, there now was another option available.   When Reagor comes back, there will be yet another option, and you had better believe that he SHOULD be back there in a high leverage situation.

Aren’t you one of the people that would rather see them lose vs make the playoffs with 6 wins?

Absolutely not.  I have gone rounds with @Bacarty2 the king of the loser mentality.

I love burner WRs.  And I love retreads from dysfunctional franchises.  Fuller seems to check both boxes, but he's just accomplished enough that he'd actually cost something.  So hard pass.

Ross for a 6th round pick...all for it.

Trading something of value for Fuller...no way.

Jose Joaquin is a bust.

And it would have had way more of a negative impact to lose Greg Ward, so it all worked out in the end.

Putting out a fire with a grenade, well done.

So they are dangling the guy that was shoved down our throats as this jack of all trades defender who Philly is going to love while praising Marcus Epps who has not shown an ounce of potential.

I never said I was cheering for them to lose. I always cheer for them to win until they are eliminated From the playoffs. I made the argument they might wind up winning the battle Of 2020 by winning the division but ultimately lose the war when they get to the draft. I also made the argument before dak got hurt  And before the season that this team just was not good enough to win more than eight games and it was more likely they’d win six after all the injuries

and the Eagles are not people on the Eagles message board. The coach and players play to winning games. So the best chance at winning a game is putting your best options on the field to make plays. Hence desean as a pr

Only notable plays of this dude's career are blowing a coverage to seal a playoff loss and having a WR jump over him.

guys Im just really excited about the 6ers. They have more talent in the coaching staff and front office than they do on the court. And somehow, thats exciting.

And hence DeSean as a punt returner was a very bad decision.  You guys can say what you will I will never apologize for being right and I am 100% right in this scenario.

Who the f is William Fuller?  The William Fuller I know is a DE.

Thats how relevant your William Fuller is and your want to compare him to one of the best deep threats in NFL history?

😂

Anyway, I’m just having some fun now.  Done with this conversation.

I'll tell you what William Fuller is one of the underrated FA signings the Eagles ever made.  Shame his Eagles career was so short.

Parks is from Philly... but they signed him before they drafted K'Von Wallace.   Frankly, once they added Wallace, Parks did become a little superfluous.

I'll be honest building a FO and coaching dream team worries me.  With all those guys comes a lot of egos and things being done certain ways.  Are they all willing to work together?  Can they agree what the best for the Sixers will be?

Will be interesting for sure.  Do they want to be the savior's to make Embid and Simmons work or do they want to tear it up and make their own footprint?

One thing's for sure about Philly sports, no matter the team, they almost always know how to keep us sucked in thinking things can get better.   I say that lightly this year because I see no saving the Phillies any time soon.

I always wondered about that.  Parks is a Philly guy and he worked his tail off.

Smh.  I agree.  But some people around here should seriously consider medical marijuana.  It could help, imo.

I’ll take your opinion on that because I have no idea what the heck they are doing.

So who stays?  Embiid or Simmons?
