I thought he did a really good job of being physical out there. When throws were made his way he wasn’t afraid to be physical with the WRs and he did an excellent job of tackling after the catch. I know he has good size at 6’1-6’2 but what’s his speed like is my question with him. I know he was a former wide receiver and he had limited experience at CB coming out of Louisiana-Lafayette

This article indicates his speed was in the 4.4 range for a 40 time.  https://www.theadvocate.com/acadiana/sports/ul_lafayette/article_33f4ced8-4767-11e9-aab1-f3f403fe4756.html

Jrue Holiday is officially on the trading block.

Can he play linebacker?

They have their own cap problems as well. And also something festering with Michael Thomas on the team.

They are definitely in a last year type of window. I imagine there are going to be options for them at QB but if Brees retires they are looking worse at the position than any other team in the division.

Interesting developmental guy. He has great size and length. If he has that type of speed and you can mold him could be a nice pickup for the eagles. Major reason he went undrafted was lack of experience playing corner.

He was able to keep up with Cooper on a deep route where he didn't have any safety help and Cooper seemed to be going all out, so it didn't seem to be a problem there.

He reminded me of a faster version of Douglas, which would actually be a really nice thing to have.

In 2017 the team was the number 1 rushing offense with an aging LaGarette Blount, Ajayi and Clement.  That team was an elite running team because of the coach's commitment to running the ball moreso than the talent at RB.

That and he had 4 All-Pros along the OL... and the best running game coordinator in the league.

What's up with Beasley?  Is he injured?  He usually averages at least 5 sacks a year and so far nothing.

The Titans came into the offseason desperate for pass-rushing help, but this signing seemed like a disaster from Day 1. Beasley was late to report to training camp and then proceeded to make just 3.0 tackles across five games. Tennessee is bottom-three in sacks (7.0) through eight weeks and still find Beasley worth releasing. He signed a one-year, $9.5 million contract this offseason.

hard pass

Hopefully there will be an all-22 breakdown of his performance.  I will say the secondary performed really well albeit against a not good QB. Aside from the hitch and screen throws to Gallup coverage seemed good and they tackled well.

Yup. There's very little fun about this team. If not for Fulgham, and to a lesser extent Graham getting that Pro Bowl/10 sack love, it's been bad.

Funny thing is... as frustrating as this team is... any little glimmer they show me entertains me.

Mailata playing and acquitting himself nicely has been excited for his future, and by extension the future of the OL, and eventually the whole offense.  If that's what Stoutland can do with Mailata, what can he do with Prince?  I think that Prince could be a very good piece in the future.  And if Prince can develop, Driscoll (who also played very well, for a rookie) can be moved inside where he belongs.

Fulgham is fun to watch, most definitely.   But, I still hold out hope for Reagor.  They need to find ways to get the ball in his hands more in space though.  I still haven't seen him on a jet sweep... he needs to get that opportunity.  I'd also like to see him on some end arounds/reverses.  And even some punt returns.  Ward isn't threatening anyone back there.  Reagor could be a threat.  And frankly, they aren't using him a ton on offense, and this would give you another opportunity to get him in space.

Wentz still excites me.  He also frustrates me.  But, when he's moving outside the pocket, you just don't know what you are going to get... either a great play or a complete blunder.  The unknown keeps it interesting, at least.

And the DL this year is finally getting back to what we all love... aggressive pass rush and hits on the QB.  Graham has been special.  Sweat is playing well.  Jackson has stepped in nicely this year.  Cox is still Cox.  Barnett has flashed.  Its fun to see that.   But, the rest of the defense has been mostly vanilla pudding.  Just no real bite.  Edwards changes that a little, because he can flat out tackle, which is underrated at times it seems.  But, I trust him to bring down just about any runner he gets his hands on.   The rest of the back 7 (Slay excluded) need to be upgraded.   Maybe we'll see more of Bradley and Taylor and get some athletes on the field.   That would make it more exciting, potentially as well.

So dirt cheap this year, dirt cheap next year, and then a RFA

If he’s going to be a starting WR next season I imagine they’ll give him a nice bump.

I don't think they can. This is his first accrued season. They will play cost control as much as they can.

Lurie can make a phone call to Wawa to help him get a sponsorship deal.

A Fulgham Footlong.

I think the cap in 2021 is a problem but this is exactly the type of player that you can play cost control by paying a good amount now. I mean if he is the real deal and they lock him up for $40 million in guaranteed money then that is a long term steal.

3 All Pros.

The left side was vaitai and wiznewski.

Yea, it's all just a question of when he's eligible to extend. I think by rules 2022 is the earliest

The Eagles are a team that values leadership, character and special teams contribution. We drafted JJAW over McLaurin.

OK - but he wasn't the only one we passed over.

I have to do survey's for McDonald's, since the company that I work for supplies them.  I do know some of the locations did away with soft serve ice cream, so maybe that's what that is about.

I was waiting to see one of Popeye's vs Chic Fil A....but maybe that is to 2019.

I’m shocked all of them haven’t gone away from soft serve considering the machine is always broken

Que?

Gotta admit, this is funny

I guess we need a new practice squad QB now. Other than that, meh.
