Question is whether he actually ran with the ball playing Rugby.

Hell yeah, he ran with the ball.   Check out #16

Interesting.  Running an oblong ball upfield into a group of men trying to stop your forward momentum and tackle you bears no relation to a kickoff return. @4for4EaglesNest

I just want to see him on one kick return v cowboys.

Hah!  The video where he is running with the ball with the kick is a hoot.  Not sure unpadded Australian club rugby players are as good as the cowpads players but the hits he puts on would be tacklers are vicious.

I want to see him as the up man. As soon as the ball is kicked, sprint back and take a lateral while a 190lb gunner comes downfield crapping his pants.

Who wants to get in front of that man with a full head of steam and no pads on.  Takes a whole new level of crazy to play that game.

I think this shows how insane NFL athletes are though.  He's probably "fast" for a lineman but he is slow compared to most defenders.

Another Miracle at the Meadowlands.  I forgot about this game.  Two random observations.

1. How did we survive without seeing the score and time constantly on the screen?

2. Cunningham was a horrific passer.

Great athlete; sub par QB

I just noticed TB had 8 yards rushing last night.

Great balance.

Also only 5 rushing attempts and one was gabbert kneeling

Whole lot of stupid in here tonight.  On one hand, Mailata should be given a chance in the return game because of his Rugby prowess.   On the other hand, even though Huntley returned kicks in college, he is incapable of being coached to return punts.

Can’t make this ish up.  It’s like Dallas fan disease is spreading in here.

Play chicken and have Huntley on KR on Mailata’s shoulders, so that when Mailata gets tackled Huntley can keep running?

Looking back, yea not having a score bug or even a first down line.  So many advances.  I think they are adding too much to broadcasts now .  The new shaded green area of yards to first down throws me off.

Randall wasn't a great passer but even watching Chris Simms it's just crazy to look at how much the passing game has changed and how skilled quarterbacks are now.  He looks like he just has a noodle arm.

I'll add one more thing.  Seth Joyner should be in the HOF.

How F’ing good was Seth Joyner?

Schwartz might still play Gerry over him.

You’re telling me to calm down?!  LOL  Sure thing Francis.

Exactly.  Ridiculous assertion.

Lighten up, Francis.

I didn’t say Huntley is incapable of being coached to return punts, I said kickoff returns are not the same as punt returns. Ball comes at you different from a punt than a kickoff.  The coverage is a lot closer too.  Maybe Huntley can, maybe he is Greg Lewis 2.0.  It’s like the assumption that Peters is the best choice to play RG.  A lot of assumption but no data.  Your premise is not supported at this point.

As to our exchange on Mailata on kickoffs, it was a joke.  But given you have never heard Ike as a nickname for Isaac, it doesn’t surprise me you missed that. Just watch the Mailata video and enjoy it.

Apparently you can make ish up as you did in your interpretation of both these.

The Jets winning this game to not only lose out on Lawrence to the Jags, but also win with Flacco torpedoing Darnold's trade value would be peak Jets.

Why invest in pass rushing DEs or high end blitzers if it’s a penalty to hit the QB hard while he’s holding the football?

Seriously.  Why?  Do you really want to invest a ton in your edge rushers?

If we are talking KORs, I would think this guy might be under consideration too.

This may be why the current guy has the job of punt returner

This may be why another guy is under consideration for the PR job

But with his recently healed thumb maybe this could

QB remembers it, whether it's a penalty or not.

If the Patriots tank their way to a franchise qb in their one non competitive year in the last 20, there is no justice in the world.

It's happening. They're about to go down double-digits to the Jets.

Jets about to lose out on Lawrence LOL

What impresses me about this and should excite all of us is at the 7 second mark.  He plants his foot, doesn't lose any speed and is at his top speed in a matter of steps.  He is a special athlete and DP should be creating plays to get him in to space.

We are halfway through the season and still haven’t really seen him in space, kind of disappointing.

The play calling has been suspect to say the least.

Gotta love the jets players all excited but don’t realize New England is going to hand them two wins so they move ahead of them in the draft position to get a QB

Hightower might end up as KR if his offensive snaps are cut down by the return of Jeffery
