1-5 after a bye - inexcusable.

the team could get steam rolled heading all the way into week 16

Perfect. We'd pick around 5 which would be exactly what this team needs. An infusion of top end talent.

Well colour me surprised that @HazletonEagle liked this post.  😁

hoping top 3

Too many times this year the NFL has let "the call stand":. See the Boyd catch.

IMO the team finishes with 3 or 4 wins , top 3 pick

So they'll pick a 3rd round talent?

I don't see another win until maybe the last game of the season. Should put us in place to draft a QB. Just pray we swindle some team into trading for our POS 130m QB

I don't know what game you watched. they missed blitz pick up all day and that isn't all on the RBs - Kelce snapping at QB ankles didn't help either.

Kelce snapping at ankles is correctable not a huge worry, sure it's not helpful and still not a huge worry going forward.

Some of the blitz pick up the giants just sent more rushers than blockers.

I wouldn't look at the o line today and say well if Carson had Brooks and seumalo the eagles win that game.

Carsons passes still sail, he still missed guys, his accuracy is still off. Doug's play calling still is predictable as it has been for a while now, like I said one can partially blame the injuries at o line for a lot and I don't think today was one of those days.

Was the o line perfect or dominant??? Nope but they weren't more detrimental to the team than Wentz pederson or Schwartz were today.

Eight of the division's ten wins have been against each other.

The Eagles beat the 49ers without their QB or their defensive line.

The Cowboys beat an awful Falcons team that gave up a 25 point lead.

That's it. Those are the non-divisional games. The Eagles are 1-3-1, the Cowboys 1-5 and both the Giants and Redskins are 0-5.

Lmfao. This is ridiculous. Division leader has a win percentage of 38.9%.

Forget winning the division with 7 wins... what about 5 or 6???

When we played the Cowgirls on Sunday Night Football they threw up a stat that if all the NFC Least teams went 3-3 in the division that we could win the division with a 4-11-1 record.  How F'ing pathetic is that?

So Doug is the anti-Andy.  Andy was masterful coming off the bye.

I'm really thinking that 2017 was lightning in a bottle and that we just did everything right.  Of course, having Reich and DeFilippo was a huge help (especially to Doug) and in the previous season and the 3 seasons after we have been average to mediocre.  To be 1-5 after a bye week is inexcusable and shows a lack of preparation.  And to see the mundane pedestrian O Doug trotted out there today was really hard to watch.  Playing JP over Mailata and Alshon getting snaps over Fulgham (and sitting Hightower) were both poor decisions.  Doug needs strong capable coaches behind him or this is what we get.  Might as well move on and give the reigns to a strong capable coach at this point.

Eagles ran the ball for 8YPC.

Doug runs the ball only 19 times.

I could see us beating Dallas because of their ineptitude on offense but not necessarily Washington.  Washington always plays us close and there's a remote chance they could be in the running for the division.

Would be such an Eagle thing to do....Pay a QB 130 million  then draft a QB in the second  then the next year draft a QB in the first round.....

Who’s losing their job tomorrow

Not going to happen. I believe Wentz's dead cap is higher than his cap on the roster.

Amazing, isn't it?    How can this team hate running the ball when it's the only thing they're good at?

So the bottom line is.....if the NFC Least didn't play each other the first place team would have 1 maybe 2 wins. That's ugly. I thought I was ugly but that beats me.

#HurtsEra

Worst thing this team could do is keep with status quo. Something's gotta change.

I think the Eagles are so overcommitted and overextended with players that are not good enough right now.  And that also includes some good players who are being paid like all-pro's or can no long stay healthy (Cox, Lane, Brooks).

It's going to take 3 years to let all of that wash through their system.  But the problem is that Howie is officially "conflicted."  He wants to save his job and put the best team on the field possible.  But they need to abstain from FA contracts like Hargrave for a few years, abstain from extending guys like Cox/Lane/Sanders (yes) when their contracts expire in a couple years.  Try to move them for picks if possible before their final year.  No trades for vets like Slay, who will easily be washed up before the team is competitive again.  It is IMPOSSIBLE to ask a GM to take the long, rebuilding view when he's on the hot seat.

This isn't a Browns/Bengals situation where the team just simply sucks and you are rebuilding every year either.  They really need to get these vets to wash away and invest in NOTHING as it happens.  That will piss off a lot of fans.

Lol, that would be an Eagles thing to do.

Chase Claypool looking legit. I'd take him over Reagor right now.

Things are gonna get ugly the next 5weeks.

We are probably still making the playoffs, so forget about a QB if that happens.

Wentz is going to get 2021 to right the ship.  And with the cap situation and complete lack of help on the way for 2021, that's the year they could really be in position to draft a qb.

Alternatively, they could go with Hurts in 2022, then in 2023 they'll also be in QB drafting position.

While I am disappointed that a farce of a division title will damage their draft stock this year, they've got a couple years of very high picks to rebuild the team coming up.

Our run D used to be one of the leagues best, now we have guys like Gallman running through us.

Giants are playing well and will go 6-10.

I think a supremely motivated Eagles team will catch the Browns looking past them and eek out a win next week.  The remaining WFT/Dallas games will go down to the wire and will be tight, could go either way.

The rest are L's.

6-9-1 conceivable.  5-10-1 reasonable.  I think either might take the division.
