He didn't need to be schooled by Foles on how to be a good teammate.  Where was he when he tore his ACL?  Right there on the sidelines pumping up his guy.  Same as he ever was.  And he was right there on the sidelines for Hurts after he was benched in GB.  This is nonsense.

Wasn't meant as a slight of Wentz. He is human and has emotions like the rest of us and this might be the first time he has been benched. Not everyone is out to get Wentz or win these nonsensical Hatfield and McCoy arguments. Some of us are just fans and objectively looking at the situation.

Colts always made the most sense. It’s Midwestern town and the colts are a championship contender if they get an upgrade from rivers. Whether wentz is an upgrade/salvageable it makes sense if they believe he can be better than rivers at the end of his career

Such a boom or bust move seems so John Elway to me. Also checks the boxes of smaller market and not possessing a top 5 pick.

Sorry Andre, it's over.

Mailata has been the best story on the team this year in a disaster season. He's delivered massively.

Where did this come from ??

Yards per game and passing yards per game, Rams #1.  Rushing yards per game, Bucs are #1.  PPG allowed, Saints are 5th.

Yeah ... today. But at game time yesterday the Saints had the #1 (yards per game) defense.

OR. We actually have a position coach that knows how to get these guys ready and can bring out the best in them.

I think you are seriously underestimating Wentz character and competitiveness. Restructuring doesn't mean less money - it usually means more now - cap relief for the team. Win - Win.

It has nothing to do with character - it is a business decision.

If Roseman and Doug are back, which I think is likely now, and if Hurts in named the starter then I think Wentz will not be disposed kindly towards the Eagles. He might be best severed by resting and conditioning his body for a year, dispelling doubts about lingering effects from the concussion. He could make it public that he has been working with a QB guru to fix his mechanics. His bargaining position would likely increase.

I would’ve said the Broncos but I think they’re not done with Drew lock yet. I still think they believe he could be a quality quarterback. I don’t know about that as much.

I had high hopes coming into this year because he had a plethora of weapons. But he hasn’t stayed healthy. And when he has played he really hasn’t looked great. But I think they still give him another year before making a transition. But it is John Elway so you never know

that said Denver is not a bad place to go. They have three good young wide receivers in Hamler, Sutton and jeudy. Plus Noah fant. Oline is solid not great.

Its not loyalty, its several years of watching him play.   From 2017-2019 Wentz threw 81 TDs and 21 INT with a passer rating in the high 90s.  And his rookie year was a good rookie season coming from lower level of college play and no training camp. Yet all we hear from you is that he sucks.

He absolutely sucks this year.  He was mediocre the two years before.  He was only great for one season, not coincidentally with an all-time great team around him that won a SB without him.  His rookie season was typically bad as most rookies are.

Yet all we hear from you guys is that he's an MVP caliber franchise QB.

Business decisions and character work hand in hand.

I tend to believe since the eagle love Stoutland that he probably has a lot to say in the offensive linemen that they are going to draft. Since he’s going to be the ones working with them and they trust him to get the most out of their offensive line I’m guessing he has big time input into whom they draft at that position.

Well, well...

3 of those wins was beating up the Bengals. 1 was an inner divisional game. Saints, Steelers and Seahawks were the only impressive wins.

You have not paid attention to corporate America for the last 30 years.

Please show where I said it had anything to do with that.   Players transfer all the time now (Justin Fields is another).  It’s pretty rare to be at the status Hurts was in Alabama and then transfer.  That’s all I’m saying.  Simmer.

More so referring to @downundermike and his comment.

Depends on how hot his seat is, I imagine.

If I deduct the yards given up this week from the Rams and Saints total, going into last week, Rams were giving up 283.1 yards per game, Saints 288.8 yards per game.

Rams #1 going into the week.

Better options this year.  Need CB and S.  Two CBs would be ideal.

Pretty beloved in Denver. I imagine they probably get to a boiling point at some point though.

The more I think about it the more I agree that Colts would be the best place for him if Eagles do end up wanting to trade him. Meanwhile we'll be a QB factory that wants to keep old vets and let Howie ruin this franchise

He was excited for Hurts when he did well. He's a good teammate

For some strange reason they don't understand this

The more I read today the more I realize there are actually "phans" that wanted to see Hurts fail so they could continue ish on Howie's drafting. Or they wanted to see Hurts succeed ONLY so they could point the finger at Wentz and say he sucks. From an internal perspective - and I'm not inside so I can't prove it, I just know it's true - only positive things occur with Hurts success - but not necessarily bad things if he doesn't.

If you look at the big picture, Hurts success or failure is in no way a reflection on Wentz play - its just not. Their exact circumstances are unique.

What do people think we can get when we trade Wentz?

I'm guessing a future conditional 3rd Round Pick (in 2022), which could turn into a 2nd based on escalators like playing time, games started, etc.

To get a 3rd rounder and get out from under Wentz' contract would be a home run.  We'd be free and clear of his money in 2022 and onwards, giving us 2 cheap years at the QB position w/Hurts rookie deal still in place and a chance to build a strong team around him.

If Hurts went 7-9 with 16 TDs- 14 Int in a rookies season would you say he had a bad rookie season?

Wentz had 48 TD and 14 INT between 2018/2019 with what many consider the worst collection of WR in the league and in 2018 a lousy, pathetic group of RB as well.

Wentz is a good QB-

All time.great team in 2017?  That was a really good team but not close to an all time great team.  That is hyperbole.   Of course it was a glorious season.

We need 2 CBs and at least 1 S going forward.  Need to grab some this draft.  We should also trade Slay since we can save cap and he won't be around when we're good again.

So what do we do with him. We all know he cannot play RT.  I guess move Mailata to RT in case Lane is not healthy.
