You still never answered me, you said all QB's throw for 4,000 yards in this era, when did this era start ??

I forget. How many eagles QBs have thrown for that many? Oh wait is it just one? Surely there must have been some stuff WRs to make that possible?

My biggest concern is seeing him come back to that rockets team and look the way that he did. He’s not young anymore. He’s 31 years old. So he has to start taking better care of his body and yet he shows up to the rocket looking completely out of shape. I’m guessing he gets himself back in the shape but that doesn’t make me feel confident about the future that he’s going to take better care of himself.

And don't the Sixers already have an issue with Embiid and that?

Both Lamar Jackson and Murray are still young.  Lamar Jackson has made huge strides in his passing game.  If he continues at that rate. he should be a weapon moving forward.  I haven't seen much of Murray but his stats this year show a very capable passer.

What on earth are you talking about?  He has regressed at a catastrophic rate passing the football this season.  Their running game and his ridiculous ability to run the football are the only reason they are even in playoff contention at this point.  With that being said, he is fun as hell to watch.

Teams have done something to stop his rushing attack, which is what usually happens.  He has averaged less than 30 yards/game and 4 yards/carry for the last 4 games.  Schwartz better be in the lab duplicating what these teams have done.

His last four games teams have tried to take away his running ability. Kind of like what the Saints did in the second half of Jalen hurts. His Rams game stats are deceiving because he had garbage time stats at the end of the game when they were down by 17. Living out here that’s been the topic of conversation on the radio with the Cardinals is why Cliff Kingsberry has an adjusted to what the leak has done spying him and forcing him into the middle of the field so that his legs aren’t killing teams as much. The giants did an awful job at it this weekend yet they really contained the cardinals of not for Daniel jones being crap

If we make this trade, I'm concerned for the rookies that have to pick up their Chick Fil-A orders.

They stopped rushing him basically. What teams tried to do with Vick. He’s basically a midget, making him throw over lineman and he’s struggling.

Schwartz will let loose and he’ll run for 80 yards a TD , throw for 300. Put a 35 burger on us. Basically we suck.

Yup. That concerns me more than anything. You knew you wanted to be traded and out of there and you know you’re getting older where you have to take care of your body. You are not gonna play into your mid 30s at the same level you’re playing now if that’s how you’re taken care of yourself. It’s going to break down. Lebron James as much as I can’t stand the guy at times dedicated his body year-round so that he can play at that level into his mid to late 30s. If you’re not take care of your body there’s no way you’re sustaining that level play

I should have clarified, he made huge strides in his passing game from his rookie year.  I remember watching him his rookie year and he really didn't look like passer.  Last year he looked really good.  I'm not sure what happened this year...whether it's related to injuries or what but it does seem odd.

The curious thing for me is why would Houston pair John Wall and Ben Simmons together . One of those two guys has to be traded because neither one of them can shoot and both of them wanna have the ball on their hands at all times. And frankly I think John walls contract is immovable until down the road because it’s a bad contract. If I were the wizards I would’ve taken Russell Westbrook back to because I think it’s a better contract that you can get out of it sooner.

They prob want Simmons because he's the best young asset who might be available.  They'll figure out "fit" later, likely by dealing Wall once he shows he's healthy and rehabs his value.

As for the trade, I like Harden but I have the same concerns as others.  He only has 2 years left on his deal, he's 31, and his dedication to fitness is poor.  He could easily decline at any moment.  He also always has problems getting along w/other star players (Howard, Paul, and Westbrook).  I also can't remember a team ever giving up a young all-NBA all-star under 5 years of team control in a deal for another star player.  Usually the return for an aging star is underwhelming.

So I prefer holding the line to see if we can get him at some point without including Simmons.

Previously yes.  But Embiid looks to be in fantastic shape now.

That’s been my point of view too. I think the longer this plays out and the Rockies have to string this along the less value they’re going to get back. I think the only team that you are really competing with is Miami. But even then their package of what they’re gonna send back to the rockets is very underwhelming for what they think harden is worth.

I know the nets have been said but I cannot see the net making that trade having Kyrie and James Harden in their back court. It’s been reported kyrie wants none of it and i cannot see that functionally working. It would say to me the nets likely move Kyrie Irving to get other pieces back that fit around James Harden and KD.

No big contracts for RBs.  It's why we should be ready to sell high on Miles Sanders.

He’s an a______, that should be Sixer fans biggest concern. He’s talented no doubt, but Houston bent over backwards for him. Not winning with him as the main guy.

To be fair his line is nowhere what it used to be.

But, screw fair. F___ him.

Chilllll id rather sign sanders to a reasonable contract rather than give up on him just because Elliot sucks now

I’ve always looked at it this way how many teams would be better than the Sixers after making that trade? Imo lakers, clippers, bucks and nets. So you are likely the fifth best team. If you didn’t make that trade how many teams do you think are better than the Sixers? Those same five, heat, nuggets, maybe Celtics, maybe Dallas (if they make the jump).  However with the trade you have two maybe 3 years to jump those five teams. Cause in two years harden likely is declining and embiid who knows.

I'd rather invest the money on the OL, get draft capital for Sanders, then plug and chug with cheap veterans and draft picks at RB.

Never sign a RB to big money. You probably should drop them out of the first round all together too. CMC will be the next to be a bad RB on a big deal.

Right after he achieves his mission of getting the franchise quarterback out of here, then he wants to get rid of the best offensive skill player as soon as possible.

@hputenis

I looked up Lamar Jackson's stats because I thought he had dropped off a cliff the way some were reacting to my post.

But his stat line isn't that bad.  He has a 95.1 QB rating with a 71.3 QBR.

A 71 QBR means he's doing pretty good, given his circumstances.  QBR takes a lot of factors into account, like strength of defense,  etc.

https://www.espn.com/blog/statsinfo/post/_/id/123701/how-is-total-qbr-calculated-we-explain-our-quarterback-rating

A 50 QBR is around average for an NFL QB.  75 or above is Pro-Bowl level.  He's just below that.  Which leads me to believe there could be injury issues there. (Not to him necessarily but to the offense in general)
