Kid excelled in the best offense in college history for 1 year, took a year off and now he's cant miss. Like I said, if he falls to us at 8-9-10, I'll really think about it

To trade up and to spend 3 seconds, thats a nah

And everyone talked about how Jefferson benefited from Chase.  Well Jefferson is the real deal in the NFL, maybe Chase benefited from him.

The Jaguars aren't giving up the #1 overall. They desperately need a QB.

I would think Wentz and/or Hurts would be part of the deal.

Unless it's Trevor Lawrence, I don't think I would be interested in any of the other guys.  None of them have more upside than Wentz, so I'd rather give him another shot with an functioning, capable offensive play caller.  I really liked Fields before this season, but I have soured on him a lot.  He was absolutely terrible against Northwestern, and Haskins currently isn't helping his cause very much.

Sewell seems to be the only consensus top 5 pick for OL.  I wouldn't hate it if he somehow fell to us, but I would not be excited.  Talk about a waste of resources and draft picks when you consider Mailata's development and trading up in the 1st 2 years ago for Dillard.  I'm all in on the WR train with that first pick.  Some people in here now have me nervous about that too.  Maybe they surprise us even more this year, ish their pants, and don't get the pick in on time like Minnesota did years ago.

I’m not overly high on anyone after Lawrence. I could be talked into trask late in the first or early second. I also wouldn’t mind lance if i were picking 10-15 range. I’m just not head over heels about fields either. He just reminds me a lot of the Ohio state QBs who have come out before him. Like the most successful QB to come out of Ohio state the last 10 years might have been pryor who didn’t even play QB.

i think if you are at six with chase and Sewell off the board then you have to consider trading back depending on what offers they get.

Broadcast kept saying Hurts right knee was down but it was actually the Cowboys knee, you can't see his right knee. I still don't think its fumble, but it's closer than some want to admit. The ball is slightly moving concurrently with his left knee going down.

I don't know why they would want either QB when they just had a talent like Lawrence fall into their laps. Also this team can't afford to make that kind of offer that it would require to move up from 6 or so to the #1 pick. There are far too many issues on this roster to give up a huge haul to get there. If anything the Eagles need to trade down, but with Howie making the picks I don't think it will matter.

I actually thought with how they called it that they would say not enough evidence to overturn it. To me when i saw it looked like The ball begins moving right as his knee begins to touch. with how it was called it was unlikely to be overturned as it was that close

I'm literally giving you facts from past drafts lol.

the kid from BYU or Fields will be at 3, 4 or 5. It's going to cost you an F load to get into that spot.

Right, like I said, it only costs that much to draft a QB. If the Eagles move up to take another position it won’t cost that price. And if QBs go in those spots they won’t need to trade up.

The only reason prices get that high to move up for QBs is because it’s driven by the buyers not the sellers. Teams will give up a ton for QBs and teams get into bidding wars. So either teams will trade into those spots for QBs, which will just push other non QBs down to the Eagles. Or no one will trade up and the price will go close to the draft value chart.

Prices to move up only surpass that of the value chart once there is a bidding war, because every team uses that chart as a baseline at first.

Im going on the basis here for my argument that it won’t cost what you say it will. So essentially what I’m saying is I’d give a 3rd rounder+ to move up for Chase. I’d also give one 2nd. But I agree with you that if it cost a bunch of number 2’s I wouldn’t. But whether or not it will is an entirely different argument.

@Sack that QB the Bears gave up their first, two thirds and a fourth to move up 1 spot for Trubisky, and the 9ers were not going to draft him.  It was the fear that someone else would trade up to that spot.  Top 10, and especially top 5 trading costs you, no way around it.

Every team this year had the same circumstances as Doug and the eagles without an off season It as and practice and not all of them turned into complete dumpster fires.

Doug and his staff were the one team in the division that weren't starting over with new coaching staff yet even a trash coach that the players even rag on in mccarthy were able to pull together and route the hapless eagles

Doug realizes that those same coaches that didn't have OTAs last year and beat him up this year will have OTAs next year right?

Didn't seem to impact Tom Brady going to a new team, or rookie of the year Justin Jefferson.

I would take the Seahawks player personnel director who I hear wants a GM position

What good would it do? He could be the next Manning or Brady and get ruined by this team

Lurie needs to look at how this team has started out of the gates the past 3 seasons. That proves there is a problem with preparation.  You can't just look at fast finishes. Why isn't this team prepared out of camp?

The Eagles current staff reminds me of this

Scott Fitterer or Trent Kirchner ??  They currently share the position.

I don't think we can expect to have OTAs this coming year either

Normal NFL offseasons feature several weeks’ worth of OTAs preceding a June minicamp, but the NFLPA would like a schedule that looks closer to this year’s virtual offseason. Union executive director

DeMaurice Smith said "there is absolutely no reason” for the NFL to return to full-scale OTAs, per Sports Business Daily’s Ben Fischer (subscription required). Having seen no decline in performance after this atypical offseason, union president J.C. Tretter agrees with Smith.

so I guess we can look forward to another season of "well we didn't have OTAs" as an excuse for playing like crap all year.

I can't really blame Michael Jacquet. He is an undrafted rookie in his second start trying to cover WRs that are clearly far more talented than he is. But I can't blame him. He never should have been put in that position. But our front office, in their infinite wisdom, saw fit to start a 5' 9" guy who has had injury issues as our CB2 coming into the season and never bothered to find any depth behind him.

Guy s hit the bed. He should have been on the bench halfway through the second qtr. Worst CB play I've ever seen in my life. Gallup is a mid-tier WR and Jacket made him look like Megatron. Total negligence on the part of Jim Schwartz.  Jim should be subpoenaed and tried in a criminal court for leaving that bag of trash on the field.

From Dane brugler’s mock draft he has the eagles taking devonta smith from bama. Sewell and chase off the board by the time the eagles are on the clock.

more and more i think the Jets and dolphins are prime positions to trade out with teams wanting to Move up to get a QBs like fields, Wilson or lance

2 minutes ago, Bacarty2 said:

I dont understand what you dont get. The price will be driven up because of Trey Lance and Wilson will be there. So you're either going to pay to move up or you're gonna have to pray you get lucky.

Forget about it, none of this matters. Let's boil it down to this. I would give up a 3rd to move up for Chase. I would give up a 2nd.

Anything more than that I would have to think about it.

I don't get the Zach Wilson Hype, he's played well and hes a good prospect but he's not someone I'm trading up for.

I don't think he's a generational talent but either was Wentz and the eagles traded up for him so...

All it takes is one team to fall in love with a guy well see how it goes

Having said that I don't think a rookie QB or any new qb is going to magically fix the eagles, I imagine any new Qb will look much the same as the eagles problems are more than just QB.

Could put Tom Brady back there and he'd look like crap.

Can't have too many cooks in the kitchen...   But, don't fire Howie... just add these guys to the mix.   Like the OC position... add 3 guys, confuse the table of organization.   Perfect process!
