Finishing at the bottom of the NFC East is a hard one for any team to come out without make fundamental changes to its structure, let alone one where the 3 other teams are awful.  I hope the Skins game is the big fullstop on the incompetence that has befallen this organisation and leaves Lurie no place to hide

You are kind of going Remember The Koy level hate on Wentz with your posts

Why this comment to me but no comment to your boy @Bacarty2's over the top hatred of Hurts even though he has outplayed the fifth year Wentz as a rookie?

No one in their right mind would be angling to trade Hurts at this point.  No one except deluded Carson fanboys like the WPA infesting this thread.

The entire rest of the world knows that Carson is GONE.

Honest question:

If the Eagles do say enough is enough and move on from Wentz, do you think they consider drafting a guy?

I believe yes.  Hurts has not proven to be "the guy" yet so if there's someone they love available in the draft, they'll pull the trigger.

QB FACTORY dawg

I think that was when he was asked about the injuries for 3 years

He gave similar comments to both. With the injuries he said "It’s football. Rough sport.”

It's called cutting bait.

Option 1, have a torn locker room,  and a QB looking over his shoulder the entire time(regardless of who your starter is)

Option 2, get them out of town for anything and move on.

Smart thing and the successful thing would be option 2

You remain true to form, making no sense.

He outplayed Wentz‘s recent play, yes. Did he even come close to Wentz’s demonstrated ceiling?  No. Anybody who disputes either of those simple truths is just too biased to admit it.

Tyrannosaurus Rex used to rule the Earth in the distant past also.  Time for Carstans to enter 2021 with the rest of the world instead of stopping the clock in 2017 when your boy was the MVP who didn't actually win the award.

Carson has one 300 yard game all year and never threw for more than 2 tds in a game.

Hurts in his last 2 starts has thrown for over 300 yards and has 3 tds in one of them.

With basically the same circumstances Carson has gone through.

So yes I believe hurts has outplayed Wentz and it's not close

Wentz isn't getting traded. Also we'll get a 3rd for Ertz tops. I won't be surprised if they end up with a 4th

You're correct.  That's why the Eagles will trade Wentz this offseason.

I really do not think Jeff Lurie would take the highest dead cap hit in NFL history.  That is my opinion.  It would be an embarrassing look for Lurie, and the NFL is always about optics.

Feel free to continue to grind your Carson Wentz axe in response.

They're not going to let this guy fracture the locker room any more than he already has.  It was worth overlooking things when they were winning.  When he's the worst QB in the NFL there's no reason to tolerate it anymore.

And taking the cap hit from trading him means wiping out all future cap hits in 2022 and beyond.  Which is why they'll do it.  If they keep him in 2021, now they're on the hook for massive dead cap in 2022.

I'm excited for the playoffs as always, even without the Eagles, but I feel like we all know we're on a collision course for Chiefs vs. Packers in Tampa.

Asante Samuels son will be in this years draft. Probably will go in the second round..........thoughts?

Trade ertz for a 3rd if you can, 4th at worst. He was terrible this year when he played.

They need to tell dillard to spend this offseason learning RT so he can replace lane in a couple years. Mailata is clearly better at LT, if Dillard works with some OL genius in the offseason to learn RT it would go a long way in helping the OL issue when lane gets hurt. If he won't do it, ship him out after the draft. Maybe a desperate team who missed their target will give up second.

A little more recent than 6 million years ago and nothing you says changes anything that I said.

He has not fractured the locker room at all.  Jaworski was just on 97.5 and said Carson has done everything asked of him since being benched, and has gone out of his way to help Jalen.  You desperately want him to be a bad person, he is not.

Is it my imagination, or does Hurts say very little to either Doug or Wentz every time he’s shown with either of them during the game?

Heres the mock draft thats pretty fun. Actually get offers from other teams.

Really don't know many prospects this season and on this site if you want to get an assessment of a player then you need to go to the main site to read up on them.  I did like the trade offer function as I did get 2 offers for the #6 pick and traded down a spot to #7 so I could move up from #70 to #42.  Had a couple other offers later, but declined them.

Chase was BPA.  Bolton is a player I know a bit about from the IWTETG section and him paired with Singleton could be 2 heat seeking missiles at LB.  Stokes I remembered him from last season where he was considered a 5th rounder with upside and IIRC he's a ballhawk.  The others I really know nothing about and was going off the site's evaluations/rankings.  Figured Hill could be IOL help and the D could certainly use more DBs.  Mitchell is decent sized RB at 5'11"  218 so worth a late round flyer.  Kind of fun.  Thanks.

Yes

We need Asante Samuels Jr to continue his fathers legacy of Taters adding an unnecessary S to the end of his name.

A late first if we throw in a pick?

Wow how times have changed from trading a whole draft for a RB to RBs now not going until the 2nd Round.

I'm not a big fan of the way the league is trending, pass happy no defense score 50 points a game is fun when it's not the norm, when every team is the greatest show on turf week in week out it's gets boring 😴

Agreed. Every sport trends toward greatly supporting the Offense.

I don't want him to be a bad person.  I'm sure he's a fine person.

And I'm not talking about whatever he might be doing now after getting benched.  That is irrelevant.  Even if he was causing problems, the org would claim he's doing the right things to try to boost his trade value.

The die is cast.  The cards are dealt.  The water is under the bridge.

The Carson era in Philadelphia is over.

I did say a 2 plus. Say a 2 this year and a 3 the following year. He was drafted in round 2 for goodness sakes. He's just one year into a rookie deal and showed very good promise and he plays the most coveted position in the league. So yeah, a 2 plus
