And as I pointed out, Hurts put up 255 more yards than Wentz, and it netted 2 points and 1 loss.

Sure, but my point wasn't to denigrate either QB over the other. The reality is both QBs had similar outings vs Dallas this year. Too many turnovers. Sloppy play, and only 2 points difference in offensive scoring. The big difference was defense. At home, the defense held Dallas to 9, and even added 6 points on a fumble return. In Dallas, the defense was terrible from the time we took a 14-3 lead to the end of the game.

I mean you still have a game

I'm thinking 25 receptions, 350+ yards and 5 TDs might be a smidge outside his abilities

He still has a chance if he goes off against Washington. He’s only 369 yards, 5 tds or 25 receptions away from winning that bet

and its Ronald Darby sooooo

You know that Hurts is starting right?

Steve Grogan or John Hannah

I was thinking more along the lines of Russ Francis but .... John Hannah works!

That he would hit 2/3 of these marks:  750 receiving yards, 6 TDs, or 55 receptions.  WHOOPS!

One game left... there's still a chance, right?

You know what’s amazing is if Jamison Crowder would’ve played all 16 games for the Jets he is on pace for 1000 yards and 9 tds (played 11 games and really it’s 10 he left after a series in one game).

Fulgham was a top receiver in the league for a couple of weeks then disappeared. Could be that teams defended better against him but he also was targeted less and had fewer snaps because of Alshon

C.  Both

Definitely can't be an OR situation. Both failed at their jobs

Blame Doug. The rookie should have been out there getting the ball more often

More pathetic is the eagles four wins this season have come with taysom hill, dinucci, Mullens and Daniel jones. They have forced 2 or more turnovers in all four of those games. Only other game we had 2 or more turnovers was Kyler murray and it took a fluke rollover to not have his knee or forearm to touch and a bad interception where the defense really didn’t do anything but just catch the ball.

also amazing Mike Williams chargers WR would be tied for the lead on interceptions on the eagles with 1. Yes the wide receiver.

Welp, clearly lost my Reagor bet with @4for4EaglesNest so got myself a new avatar for the next 3 months.  Enjoy everyone.

I’m guessing you had the over on whatever that bet was.

Whenever you enter a bet over an Eagles rookie, take the under unless it is games inactive.-

I’d fire Howie, strip the team bare of its vets in exchange for 2022 draft assets, and keep Doug for an extra year as the sacrificial lamb, unless we can recruit Daboll here.

But the next 2 years are going to be ugly.  All things being equal, I’m not sure I want to start the hourglass on a new HC right now.

Absolutely but I think there is a 10% Laurie does this.

Have to be able to score 30+ points on offense to win consistently in the NFL.  Of the teams with 11+ wins, the Steelers are the only outlier this season; they’ve scored 30+ points only 3 times all season.  Packers have done it 11 times, Chiefs 9, Bills and Seahawks 8 times, Saints 7 times.

The Eagles are at 0.

Might be even lower than that.

You forgot the decimal.

This is precisely the blueprint for winning in the NFL.  Either you have an offense that is built to do that, or you aren’t really competing.  Either you have an elite passing qb with high end pass catchers, or your offense isn’t built to do that.

I don’t care for that blueprint, but it’s what the nfl has become.

And our offense wouldn’t score 30 points in a 60 minute walkthrough in shorts.

You don't need to.    But, they need to bring coaches in here that are going to develop these young players (the few there are).

I'm still waiting on that list of players that the Eagles have developed and progressed over the last 3 seasons.  Pretty small number.  Mailata... Seumalo...  Sweat...

Love Brandon. I wish he and kelce didn’t have to see their last few good years go towards a rebuild

It’s a painful list.

My concern with a new HC is that he’s just going to be Chip Kelly with SF, Pat Shurmur with the Giants...

Some retread hired to manage the team through their continued descent until they make another change in 1-2 years when they have a chance to bring in a new qb and new talent.

No one is going to come in here and win in 2021-2022.  Then we are going to have a coach with 2 years here, a .125 winning percentage, and a top 5 pick that will likely go to a new qb.  There will be enormous pressure to bring in ANOTHER new HC for the new qb.

Yea, for $18m guaranteed, he sure will bring some positive energy to that rebuild.

We’ll be competing with them for #1 overall in 2022.  They have the inside track for sure.

I’d do the exact opposite. The cap situation in 2021 is already messed up so what’s a new GM going to do. I’d still get rid of the aging vets for 2022 draft assets but I’d keep Howie for one more year and fire Doug. Doug has shown 3 years in a row he can’t gameplan to a players strength’s.

Let’s see what a new coach can do with the young guys Howie has already brought in for one year. If it’s the same garbage then we fire Howie after 2021 and bring in a new GM who will then have the cap flexibility and good draft assets in 2022 to make moves.
