From basically every account I’ve read, it’s a weaker year to be picking top 10 unless you want a QB or Sewell.

So while the guys we are projected to take at say pick 7 (Chase, Smith, Parsons) might not have been top 5-8 picks in previous drafts, you can only pick guys in this draft class. Comparing these guys to other drafts is meaningless outside of comparing the quality of this draft vs others.

Sewell was in reach

I guess you haven't been keeping up on Derrick Henry who is the best RB in the NFL right now.  6'3" 240+ lbs.  He's the reason for the success of the Titans' O.    But, it will be short-lived.  In 2 years, he'll be a shell of himself.

So we'll just enjoy watching him stiff arm and throwing DBs

Why would anyone want shocker banned?

First thing I thought of when I seen it was WWF or something.  Looked like a pro wrestling move.

Mailata forgot his blade to cut himself with so he could bleed

He lowers the crown of his helmet and jumps into him.  By the letter of the law it is against the rules.

Yup.  and look at him... the RB is getting past and he's got his back to the RB, clearly has launched himself directly at the head of Mailata, and has his own hands down... He's not looking to 'stun the tackle' to make the play on the RB.  He's looking to lay a cheap shot, likely because he got steamrolled by Mailata on an earlier play (or more than once).

It is quite enjoyable.   Would be more enjoyable in our jersey color... but what can you do?

Or just because he's Dallas scum.

Talk about holding a grudge

Get lucky that Lurie fires Howie and the new GM finds a stud RB in the later rounds

Over in the 411 there is a thread about dividing the blame but in that thread @wyote brought up a point that I think can be discussed. If Lane and Brooks stays healthy how much better would our record be?

Hard to say.  Would Wentz have made better decisions with more time in the pocket?  Would have Doug really run the ball more often?

Maybe a couple of games.  Wentz' play, the problems at WR, injuries at TE, and lack of talent in the back seven still would have overshadowed them.

Likely all the way to a 8 or 9 win team.  Pryor, Peters, Jamon Brown and Sua Opeta never have to play.  But, this team is still a broken mess, the OL debacle actually made the problems more obvious.   But, this team still never addressed RB2, never figured out that Jeffery can't play and is still a detriment to the team, can't use proper players in the return game... Greg Ward and Boston Scott have no business in those roles.

But, injuries are always a part of the game, and with this team... it's really a part of the game.

So it'd be Mailata Issac Kelce Brooks Lane?

Not sure. A stable Oline would have helped calm Wentz IMO

Would Doug finally run the damn ball with Sanders more?

See I think with a proper o line Wentz would have played significantly better. As you said he would have had more time. Obviously I could be wrong though.

Don’t underestimate Dillard’s injury, either.  He’s a first round pick and had the LT job this season.  His injury set in motion a lot of bad decisions.  No QB will be successful with 2 OL lost for the season before it starts, and the RT who is normally a Pro Bowl player playing on one leg when he was there.

Kelce and Seumalo don’t make up a decent OL all by themselves, and Isaac also missed half the season.  With the three of them healthy the team probably goes 8-8 and a back door into the playoffs again.

Clearly it was tequila cause of the worm

At least with all the injuries this year it showed that the Eagles just aren't a good team. Poor drafting and player development and poor roster construction. My hope is now they tear off the bandaid and rebuild correctly instead of slowly pulling it off and remaining consistently  average.

Week 1 flips to win. They wouldn't give up 8 sacks.

Week 2 stays a loss. That was an abysmal defensive game.

Week 3 goes from Tie to Win.

Week 5 stays a loss to Pitt. Defense again was atrocious.

Week 6 iffy. I'll say win against Ravens. No Jamon Brown, Brooks/Johnson wouldn't give up 3 sacks to Cambell or 7 total.

Week 10, second Giants game I'll leave as a loss. Between this and the Ravens game they go 1-1 no matter who wins.

Week 11 flips to a win against Browns. Vernon wouldn't get 3 sacks, a solid O-line maybe helps Carson and his bone head pick 6 and safety.

Week 12 stays a loss. Seattle always has our number.

Week 13 stays a loss. Bad D, Good Rodgers

Week 15 stays a loss. Cardinals don't get 6 sacks but D can't handle their O.

Week 16 stays loss against Cowboys. Defense bad.

So, I'd put them at 8-7. Possibly could be better if the better line leads to better QB play, better/more RB plays, team gaining momentum etc.

If these injuries keep happening, what's even the point of upgrading the roster? Guys come onto the team with little to no injury history and leave almost in a damn wheelchair.

Davion Taylor should take as many snaps as he can. He needs the reps.

I'm still waiting for the Cox/Barnett/Goedert IR designations.

Add Desean Jackson, Richard Rodgers, Duke Riley, Kevon Seymour too. This is the week to throw anyone dealing with any type of injury on IR and to go hunting off other teams PS guys. Bring them all in even if they miss the game and sign them to future deals.

Thats not how Dougy does things.

This is the week he brings back Brook so he can get hurt again, did you not watch Djax last game? Doug will play all the old guys, and especially anyone who was here in 2017 and helped win a SB, likely we sign Sproles tomorrow for one game. And where's Blount at?
