I agree with ESP

I want to choose wentz, but what I see the Owner's choice as being is a super bowl winning HC/GM combo, vs a QB who has yet to stay healthy for a post-season.

If we are keeping Doug, Id rather him have a shot at fixing wentz. I choose Wentz over Hurts 100% of the time.

But the decision between the QB and the HC/GM combo is unfortunately an easy one to choose the other guys over the QB.

What I believe is likely if the Wentz trade rumor is true, is that we dont go in to the season with Hurts as the starter. Lawrence will be our pick either at 6, or with a major Howie trade up.

It's hard to know. But, I felt that was all Howie and Doug had to put on a supportive face.  I think Howie wanted to stick it to Dallas after he couldn't move up for Lamb. Dallas was gloating and laughing when they drafted Lamb and I would bet Howie called them to try to trade. Then, Howie celebrated the Hurts pick like he won the Super Bowl. So, I think in his mind he thought it was payback because I think he felt Dallas wanted Hurts.  I think we liked Hurts, but I would bet Dallas getting Lamb influenced Howie to make an impulsive decision.

I’m not sure it was Dallas but NE.

Guys guys, settle down .... our Coach is gonna play to the Quarterback’s strengths next year! We’re good.

🤣🤣🤣 This organization

I don't know that I want either back, but I don't want Doug back. He can't even figure out how to call more run plays. He now has no method to his madness on 2 point conversion calls or when to punt vs. when to go for it.  He doesn't understand how to adjust playcalling to match injuries on the OL.  Too many things. Doug didn't use common sense this year.  And, he looked like he was on the verge of emotional breakdowns after every postgame conference.

The only report that scares me today was the gym shorts rumor that he turned down a contract extension?  Meaning the plan was to run back the same coaching staff ?  Our FO and ownership have no clue what is going on if that is the case.

No way Lawrence is there at 6. I'll be surprised if he doesn't go number 1 overall

How would that even be possible?

Nope

You can’t pick an oft injured QB over the HC who won you a super bowl with a banged up team and back up QB.

Why would Lawrence be available at 6? Have I missed something? I thought he was slam dunk #1 pick?

Lurie doesn't seem as upset as early reports indicated if that's true

because hes not a good enough thrower of the ball to be the #1 pick at QB. Of course he still may be, but if GMs were smart he wouldnt be.

Some team may end up liking a different QB prospect more.

Great points. They’ve done zero to help Wentz out. Zero.

I disagree with that. If you want to argue they could've done more, then I would agree. But, Wentz has two good TEs, actually Rodgers is decent, too. They drafted a WR in Round 1. They also drafted 2 other WRs in a WR rich draft.  So, I wouldn't say they haven't done zero.

Reich and DeFillipo were as important and possibly more important. Just look what has transpired since they left.

I think it was Dallas because of Dak's contract issues. There was speculation that Dallas really liked Hurts and Dallas has since confirmed they were interested in him.

By the way, with Carson Wentz in your arsenal of trade assets, itd be very easy to trade up to #1. I think you could potentially even offer him straight up. Get Lawrence at 1, and draft Chase for him at 6.

Would've help picking the right WRs like Metcalf or Jefferson

To move up from 6 to 1 for Lawrence, what kind of package are we giving up?  Swap 1sts, give them Wentz and then how many other 1st or mid round picks would have to be attached?

This is where I’m at...

It really seems like Pederson was the beneficiary of a fantastic coaching staff and a couple guys hitting their peak together.

I agree. Howie is a problem.  He can't evaluate WRs.

This is a dream scenario. Let's just say Jax passes on Lawrence for Fields. No way Jets pass on Lawrence

Carson requesting a trade even if it sounds like he’ll be the starter next year? After subpar play for three straight years? He is sounding more immature by the day.

If you say so...

Probably a package similar to when they went from 8 to 2 to get Wentz. Except this time, Wentz can be used in the trade which is more valuable than anything they had that year. Shouldnt take much. You think Jacksonville would like Wentz? I do.

If it’s a complete rebuild and this happens and we trade Hurts too.  I’d be good with it.  No reason to draft a QB high and keep Hurts.  Unless QB factory.

Is he saying if we offered Wentz, that it would net us the #1 overall pick in the draft?  What am I missing???

There’s no reason to believe they’d be performing here with our coaching and QB situation though...
