I think that is unquestionably part of it.  But still, the offense looks thoroughly disjointed.

I wonder if Doug was just naive thinking they’d come out flying.  Both DC and LA called a ton of easy, 1-2 read throws to get their offense going.
Our offense has been 2 completely different gameplans

Gee, imaging calling plays that help you team?

If that is the case, why did the Rams look really slick and in tune? And plenty of other teams too.

A bit of a distraction from Doug, for me.

because Doug sucks

Philly sports is falling in line with the rest of 2020

This guy gets it

Actually to be honest, the Steelers and Ravens wont score a lot on us cause they're gonna run it down our throats and just crush us in TOP.

The Steelers are not good enough to run on us. If their OL doesn't get healthy, we can beat them up.

The problem with Pittsburgh is we're not scoring on them.

Winning the division last year was the worst thing to happen to the Eagles. It deluded the organization into thinking things were better than they are.

And costed us much better positioning in the draft...

And they are headed the same way this year. Well right now they aren't but I would imagine this team will win enough games just about to screw up a top 5-8 pick. They'll be anywhere from 9-18.

Regardless of the changes to the O, it still seems behind other teams - later 2018 rather than later 2017. I didn't want Desean traded for and I've seen nothing to change my mind.  I liked the player he was, not the player he is now. Cap space and draft pick better spent elsewhere.

I can't help but wonder if the Eagles are no longer fighting for one goal internally any more.  Is the organisation as connected and all in as it was in 2017?  The Birds look a bit of mess and can't help but to make poor choices for quick fixes.

Unfortunately, that’s not too encouraging with the Niners, Steelers and Ravens all to follow Cincy, who is a team we historically struggle against as is.

That's the bleak right now part

Question, At what record would you want the Eagles to have a fire sale, if at all?

I'd basically listen to offers for just about everyone this afternoon.

Yeah same here. This team could arguably make the play offs but like it or not is really not a contender. And this team is headed for a rebuild because it has to.

all the talent we passed on the draft, trades, let them go in fa has really set this team back.

Yeah it really has. They've given up draft picks to bring players in who just simply haven't produced.

1-5. Beat the Bengals, lose to SF/Pitt/Baltimore.

Guys who are tradable without hurting the cap: Cox/Jeffrey/Ertz/Jackson/Barnett/Mills/NRC/Ridgeway.

Unfortunately, only a GM who knows they're coming back in 2021 is making those moves. So if you want Howie gone, he's not making those trades.

Just a thought. Maybe getting laid regularly doesn't agree with Wentz.

I thought he was married.

0-5, and I trade Ertz and Barnett. Not sure anyone else on the team has decent trade value other than Wentz.

Yup, it’s not rocket science. And the cap situation is very troublesome. On top of all that coaching and development is weak, D coordinator needs 8 pro bowlers and three alternates to have a good defense. Doug just seems like he does not have the answers or creativity, Wentz isn’t getting better. The young talent is lacking... Howie said it best, gonna be some rough waters ahead. Better off rebuilding starting at the trade deadline and getting a top 8 draft pick at minimum.

Cox would be 11 million in dead cap and Alshon would be 5 mil in dead cap. If "over the cap” is correct...

Under the dead money & cap savings tab, there's a drop-down that you can use to change "cut" to "trade".

So guaranteed money is tradable and comes off a cap. However, signing bonuses accelerate when traded. We're big on bonuses, which is why we don't trade a lot of players.

Well we know he got laid once.  Probably thought it was icky and prayed about it.

Had to know that you'd pop out from under your rock soon enough.  Do you remember that season that you quit on the team in Week 1?

I think the eagles beat the niners. The niners are banged up big time. Their qb could be out too.

Smart move by him.  Sanders will get the ball a lot and Giants are now more desperate for just an RB and will likely pay more

The most concerning things from yesterday...

* The Rams were perfectly content giving us 4-5 yard runs, and we did that relatively consistently. The OL neutralized Donald. And we still couldn’t score many points. Sanders had a soft fumble and for most of the first half had no idea he was supposed to run through a hole instead of dance. Wentz continues to miss the layups. His interception to JJAW was mind numbing and back breaking.

* McLeod said after the game that the Eagles were prepared for everything the Rams did. Yikes. Either we called the wrong coverage at the wrong time or we busted the coverage or we flat out missed tackles. If that wasn’t enough, we had players who just weren’t good enough to be on the field (looking at Gerry). We looked soft. Rams ball carriers routinely picked up yards after contact. The DL made minimal impact, and when they did their job, the LBs and safeties failed to clean up.

* JJAW had another drop. Time to bench him unless he is clearly outplaying guys he n practice. He’s done nothing to earn playing time, not that Hightower has either.

Here we go!

One positive for Howie is that he’s aggressive enough to sell if the ship continues to sink. On the other hand, if we sputter to 3-4 he might make a dumb trade.
