The defense is lucky Wentz was so bad that he's drawing most of the fan base ire

When they ran this play I remember thinking "At least they didn't run this reverse from their own 30, because it would have been a 70-yard TD run"

Woods literally walked to the end zone

The other question I have with the LB -- leading up to the season we were hearing so much about how good TJ Edwards was going to be; a lot of it from the coaches.

...... so, why is he playing 25% of the snaps??

From what a recall Edwards is more of a run defending LB and those are a dying breed. If you can’t cover as a LB you’re a one down player. Trotter wouldn’t have been squat in today’s NFL.

That being said, Gerry is supposed to be the new Bradham and he’s not even close and probably never will be.

I think it’s pass coverage. They don’t seem to trust him there.

This is why you can't take guys like BLG & ESP seriously.

As I see it this team has 4 main issues:

1. The players suck

2. The coaching staff sucks

3. The medical staff sucks

4. The entire front office sucks

We're Fed!

Maybe there was a path to a TD. He would have had to gather himself pretty quickly and fire the pass since the safety was working back to the receiver.

Looked like it was on JJAW

Lots of money with no results from the Dline

It is so obvious that Wentz is pressing.  The coaches need to get him into the flow of "his" game and not try to make him a Peyton Manning drop back passer.  They need to move the pocket, more rollouts, RPO.  He isn't a guy that is comfortable staying in the pocket and reading defenses.  Let the kid play ball!

The difference in the gameplan that McVay uses for Goff and the Eagles for Wentz is night and day.  The Rams scheme guys open with motion, play action etc. while the Eagles stand there with no pre snap movement and run the same tired plays over and over.

This feels personal

My biggest concern right now is this team loses it’s confidence. Specifically, Wentz. This is a test for Pederson. I don’t and never thought he was that great of a head coach. Reich and Difillippo leave and it appears they just aren’t as organized. Hopefully he proves me wrong.

Who would’ve thought the linebackers and jalen mills moving to safety without a real offseason would’ve been a liability?

Doug blaming everything on an abbreviated offseason is tiring when the league specifically made the conditions the same for everyone.

the excuse train is out full force today. Tends to not be good when you start blaming everything else but yourself. Shows a lack of accountability. Feels like this season is about to go Right down the toilet

It was a good question too. There are plenty of offenses that are clicking.

Especially with all the "well the Eagles coaching staff remained mostly intact so they should be at an advantage" talk.

As long as "some time" is not a torn ACL, I think that's great news.  It means he's back this year (who cares anyway) and fine for 2021 with no ill-effects.

Even friggin Justin Herbert looked pretty good going in cold

It's not a long term injury, supposedly.

He was baffled during the draft and suggested we go LB. I’d take DJ in a heartbeat. Guy knows prospects.

Eagles down 3 of their 5 projected starters. However give credit to pryor he looked competent when he replaced seumalo.

I was getting frustrated yesterday at people yelling at the DL for lack of pressure. LBs/Safeties are supposed to be able to make these plays.

We really miss Will Parks. Of course, if the defense needs Will Parks to be competent, you have a different problem.

How do we know what Parks really is here, he’s never played a down.

Yup, O-line was great yesterday, all things considered

I agree but surely he is better than Epps. At least I hope so.

Maybe part of the problem is that JJAW is slower than the CB.  So having a step when you're moving at a snails pace means jack squat.  Reagor running this route and he actually has a step on the CB instead of the CB being able to jump the route.  It wasn't as bad a decision as I thought initially but it wasn't good placement.
