Yes because I clearly have to cut him. I couldn’t extend him to lower his cap number or things of that nature.  Worst case scenario was if I had to I could do that. I’m guessing the Eagles probably wouldnt done that they probably would have restructured it or given him an extension. Lol. Which you completely ignore And yet again his 2020 cap number is still $8 million regardless  That is not 10 million against the In 2020. Regardless if it’s 10, million per year it’s still not 10 million against cap

But please tell me how to desean contract next year of $11 million and if cut him is to use only save $5 million is a better contract then Robby Anderson  Who has been the better player out of the two over the last three years including this year So far. So again I much rather be paying Robby Anderson At 28 years old $12 million then DeSean Jackson at 35 at 11 million. Do you want to go back per season salary desean has 9.75 over the 2020-2021 seasons and Anderson is 10.

They would still have DeSean's contract because DJax wasn't getting cut this year..so this has nothing to to with DJax.

And when you negotiate for free agents in the NFL, you need to at least match (or better) the best offer.  There's no way the Eagles were guaranteeing Anderson 12 mil (for basically 1 year) and/or giving him some long term deal (which they would have needed to do to avoid any sort of cap hit in 2021 since they are already way over the cap in 2021).  Any way you look at it, they weren't signing Anderson to a better deal than what he got in Carolina.

Exactly. I am not saying Carson Wentz is playing well. He’s not he’s playing like crap. That is not debatable

However anybody who thinks this wide receiving corps is (if you actually watch other football teams) anything but a bottom 10 and I would say bottom five wide receiving course is laughable. Literally I posted all those there’s maybe four teams they have worst wide receivers in the Eagles. The Jets, Texans, Bears, and Washington. Those are the 4 team you can say are worse. the rest of the teams I would take those wide receivers over what the Eagles have

I'd take Washington over us at the moment.  Reagor still has to prove as much as Mclauren.    And Desean is fairly irrelevant.

You’re right they couldn’t cut desean because his contract is actually worse than the one that Robby Anderson got. His dead money and cap savings over 2020 and 2021 is even worse for the eagles (and I didn’t even discuss desean’s 2022 dead money hit is $3.87 million). It was actually a worse contract than Andersons considering the fact he can’t stay healthy, Asked to be on a snap count to stay healthy and he’s gonna be 35 and when you cut him next year, you still have a dead money of $5.8 million. And I didn’t even touch on the fact that his end in Tampa Bay he was a pain in the a** and the same thing he was a pain in the a** in Washington and when he was here the first time he was a pain in the a** then too. That doesn’t include his gang story which was BS. he was just a pain in the a** to the point Andy Reid was thinking about getting rid of him

Yep clearly because you just know everything that was going on with that. Clearly he couldnt said you know what I’m from Philly, I played at temple and wanna come home to Philly and taking the same contract in Philadelphia with a better quarterback.  You’re making a definitive statement They wouldn’t have gotten that same contract from philly and chose us over Carolina. There’s no proof that if we offered him that same contract he would’ve said no to us. The only thing we’ve heard were mosher and caplan said they didn’t even go after him.

So yes I would’ve given him that contract because I can rely on him to play every snap and he’s been more productive over the last three years. And he’s my replacement for desean when desean gets cut next year. Andthen I could’ve went any wide receiver in the draft as best available. Which probably meant you Would have had Justin Jefferson in the slot and you have Robby Anderson and desean on the outside. Or they still take Reagor and now you have three speed threats that you can move around the formations and you have the type of speed that Kansas City has. Or maybe they don’t even go wide receiver in the first round and go best available player because they have a competent wide receiver in anderson  and get a wide receiver later.

I'd take Anderson over Jackson in a heartbeat right now. I wanted him but not for the money that was getting advertised at the time

This list was just depressing

Never heard of it but I love spicy foods

Did a google search of it and people are recording themselves eating it. You going to show us if you can handle it? lol

Sounds like a great way to lose another offensive lineman.

It’s tough because McLaurin Is a really good wide receiver. The rest of that unit is not very good. But he is the best player out of both wide receiving cores. he’s putting up numbers with Haskins who Is not a good quarterback. Add on it is very likely Washington is picking in the top 10 again and they could just take Chase if he’s sitting there. And at that point you have McLaurin and Chase. However I kind of think Washington if Haskins doesn’t play well this year, is going to try to trade up to get fields or Lawrence

Malik Jackson and Josh Sweat have been very good rushing the passer.

Hmm ..... I wonder if Jared Goff would have guessed Eagles are #1 in pass rush grade, because I’m not sure he even needed to shower after that win.

I'm guessing pass rush grade doesnt equate to sacks.  Seems Eagles are always ranked high as far as pass rush but just cant seem to get there in time to sack the QB.

Not sure why you keep going on about DJax.  It's obvious you have some sort of an agenda against DJax.  It's unfortunate Wentz has played so poorly or else DJax would have better numbers than what he does...even though he is still on pace for close to 900 yards, despite Wentz not targeting him enough.

I said we didn't know what went on behind the scenes and that's the point.   The Eagles could have made an offer.  They were interested in him in 2018 when they offered a 4th round pick for him.  What we do know is that if the Eagles made an offer it likely wasn't as good as Carolina's.

Hey any good suggestions on a VPN that has a Philly server to connect to? I tried one but it didn’t have a philly server at all.

Wife got me this today. Now, I am a big fan of heat and spicy foods. Regularly get the hottest wings whatever place offers, did a white chocolate challenge, a Vegas Indian restaurant's inferno naan challenge (successfully), and same restaurant's inferno dhal challenge (unsuccessfully, lol) so I wouldn't be blindly charging into unknown territory. What worries me about this one isn't so much the heat, but the catastrophic onslaught on the GI tract I keep reading about.

Anyone in the blog done the one chip challenge?

Pretty sure I bought a bag of those once and had no idea how hot they were.  I was about 3-4 chips in before realizing they were the hottest chip I've ever eaten.  Took a solid 15 minutes for the heat to die down.  :furious:

Lol at your arguments for DeSean only having a wentz issue

You know how desean’s numbers would also look better? if he wasn’t on the sideline for 25% of the game in fear of him getting hurt and having a snap count so he makes it through the season ( and that’s being generous cause week one he played 38 of 68 snaps which is 56 percent). But I know in your world thats on carson too. Of course missing those plays don’t factor in. The fact that you can’t even admit Robby Anderson is actually good in any of your argument is laughable. He is fourth in the league in receiving yards with just as crap of a quarterback in Teddy Bridgewater. Always well desean would have these numbers too if not for wentz lol  yup desean taking quarters off also has nothing to do with it.

I’m going on because you’re complaining that they were not going to give Anderson that type of contract meanwhile desean’s is by far worse, he’s not nearly as reliable to play every week as Anderson and his totals the last 2 years even before last year weren’t as productive. And it’s straight up a worse contract. indont think the contract structure for Anderson’s talent was the issue. I don’t think the Eagles would’ve have given him that contract because they were stuck in a worse contract with desean and stuck in a bad contact with Jeffrey and couldn’t afford it to build the rest of the team. I think if you ask the Eagles if they could redo the desean thing and have Robby Anderson at that price they will take Robby Anderson and his contract

All we know is caplan and mosher said they didn’t even make a contract offer to him Or go after any free agent WR cause they wanted "to go with youth and draft them”.  And that also was likely contributed to paying alshon and desean a combined 24 mil against the cap (with a ton of dead money to release them) In 2020 and significant dead money next year (and the year after), injury prone and coming Off season ending injuries .

@VaBeach_Eagle has one in our "store". Click the tab out on the main page of the boards here. And if you sign up to use that VPN itll give some money towards the cost of maintaining this site for us.

welp, looks like its gone. nm.

I haven’t done the chip, but I believe the chip is based on the Carolina reaper pepper, and I ate a puckerbutt reaper once and can confirm it’s legit.

NFLN Total Access predictions this weekend, and MJ Acosta has the Bengals as her "Lock Of The Week” ... 27-14 with Burrow throwing 3 TD passes

You know it’s getting bad when the pundits are picking the worst team in 2019 for a guaranteed win over the Eagles — at the Linc  😂
